My curiosity got the best of me. I went to google and put in almond filling. I got this recipe for making your own at www.allrecipes.com

    Almond Filling

    INGREDIENTS

    • 1/4 cup white sugar
    • 5 teaspoons cornstarch
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 tablespoons amaretto liqueur
    DIRECTIONS

Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in saucepan. In a separate bowl beat eggs and mix together with milk. Stir into dry mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbling. Cook for 2 minutes more. Remove from heat, add almond liqueur and stir well. Cover surface of filling with plastic wrap to prevent film from forming and chill completely before using.

    Re: HELPPPPP!!!-----Almond Filling?

I think that almond filling is usually made out of almond paste, if home made...wait, let me check something...

Yes, I was right...here's one I found online:

    Almond Filling

    Ingredients:

    3 1/2 ounces almond paste

    1/2 cup confectioners’ (powdered) sugar

    1/4 cup butter or margarine

    1/2 cup sliced almonds

    Directions:

Combine almond paste, sugar, and butter in a small sauce pan, stirring constantly over medium heat until smooth. Stir in sliced almonds.

hmmm, I wonder...does it need to be heated to mix it....

I'm going to go do a little more research on this one. It seems there's something called SOLO ALMOND FILLING in cans. We don't have canned almond filling in our grocery stores.

SOLO brand makes a delicious almond filling (along with their apricot, poppyseed, etc.) - not always easy to find, though. I actually buy it at my bulk food store.

You can find it in the grocery stores, if they carry it, in the baking asile next to the pie filling.  I get it at Walmart.  Hopes this helps.
