    So Hungry!!

I don't know what the deal is, but I just feel hungry all the time, even after eating.

I've been consuming twice, and sometimes even three times as many calories in the morning than normal, and still am hungry. Evenings aren't quite so bad, but I'm consuming more then as well. Could it be the cooler temperatures we've been experiencing?

Is there anything anyone can suggest that might be reasonably low in calories yet be filling, and lasting?

In the past 9 months I've managed to lose better than 80 lbs, but I've still got 16 lbs. to go. I don't want to reverse what I've worked so hard to accomplish, niether do I want to be stuck here, 16 lbs short of my goal.

    Help!!!

    Thank you for your response!

I'll try a bit of peanutbutter to see if that helps, and will also check out the protein drinks on Thursday when we go shopping.

Thyroid is something that hadn't occured to me but I know my Father had problems with his, so definately something to consider.

    Thanks again!

    Re: So Hungry!!

Hi!    :)   I struggle with night eating because DH works 2nd shift, and I'm often worn out and eat mindlessly after I get my son into bed.    Some of the things I keep on hand:

    Grapes/Cherry tomatoes/bell pepper strips

    94% ff popcorn

Light english muffins, spread with a teeny bit of 1/3 red fat cream cheese

    Frosted mini wheats, eaten dry

Celery with 1/3 red fat cream cheese

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Jolene!

Thank you! That reminds me, I have some "diet friendly" popcorn I could try popping. I tried it once and a good portion of it burned. Stick out tongue Hoping that was a fluke with the one package...

Hi!  Sounds like you aren't getting enough protein. Try some low fat mozzarella cheese sticks or natural peanutbutter and some whole grain crackers. :)  I always need protein when I feel like that! :)

Thank you all for your suggestions! Muril, I think you nailed it. I took Jetloves2cook's suggestion, and had a small spoon of peanutbutter. It removed the hunger pangs right off the get go. Amazing! In the past I've avoided peanutbutter because of the high calories, but I suppose a small amount of that is better than adding 100 over and over with no relief.

Guess I'll add peanutbutter to the grocery list for Thursday :)

Thanks again to everyone! It's so good to know there's somewhere to go where I can get the answers, and support for those weak moments
