I have been doing laundry off and on all day. The switch went out on the light/fan in the den and I had to go get a new one. Took us awhile to get it done. Mel would work on it, catch his breath, do some more but finally finished.

Rode the bike this morning, they said it was going to rain today so I wanted to get it done before if it did. Lots of thunder very little rain.

Pammie do plant any veggies? I use to eat so many tomatoes when they first made I made my mouth sore. I have one very small flower bed and in one area I had planted calla lillies, dh put too much ash on the bed in the fall and they never came up again. My tulips are doing great, several shades of pink. Planted them in a circle and they are so pretty.

Good Evening Healthy Ones! Big Smile

Can anyone say tired? :)  I am so exausted but that is a good thing.  I used a walk your way slim video yesterday to work out and noticed my legs were sore this morning and with the extra walking today they are really sore. :)

I went back and forth several times from Nancy's appt. to her room in AL and it was a long walk. :) She needed several things and also while she was taking a nap, I got some things straightened up in the appt. so it will look better when she gets back. She had her wallet under her pillow(noticed it while I was straightening up the bed) . :)   I asked her why she put it there and she said it was the only place she could think of- so I left it there, at least she knows where it is. :)

I really think she is doing a lot better. At least she ate a little something for each meal- a big change from Monday. Also she was talking more and that is always a good sign with Nancy. :)  I think she should be back in her appt. by Monday.

Jen, wow, the countdown is really starting now.  Yee Haa! :)

Dusta, I think I should do some laundry but going to wait until tomorrow. Mom should be at Bonnie's(DS) now. :)

Yee Haa Pam on losing 11 lbs!
That is terrific- doing some mental cartwheels for you! Yeah! Maybe you will rub off on me! ;)

Pam,  I have a little country heart that sits in my kitchen window that reads, "Mothers of little boys work from son up till son down." :)  How True! :)The lady that gave it to me had three boys too. :) Hope you start getting spring like weather soon. That has to be disappointing. We had some warm weather today- thankfully. Not sure about the weekend though.

Waving to all other Healthy ones that pop in!

Have a lovely weekend.  I am hoping to get to some y.s. tomorrow morning and then a family gathering tomorrow evening.

    Good Night!

Good morning. Think I am going to take it easy today, did a lot yesterday and my foot hurt this morning when I got up. I am going to try to find shoes like I had the other time I hurt my toe.  Also I need to go to WM, out of fish. I did core yesterday and am not sure what to eat for a snack in the afternoon. I usually eat a muffin and I guess I can just count it as some of the points from the 35 you get a week.

Muril when you go to ys's do you get the paper and plan your route? We use to do that, put numbers on them and go in the same area. I love ys, but I need to get rid of things now. Have fun. It got cool during the night here.

Re: HL topic of the week 4/28 to 5/4 Healthy Foods for Glowing Skin!

Good morning!   I have stayed up way too late the last 2 nights, either knitting or playing Grand Theft Auto  (LOL).    Today is date day, and I'm looking foward to it, even though it's dreary and gross out again.   I drop Jake off at 11, then will swing by the library on the way home.  By then Tim will be up and we'll decide if we want to go out or just order in and relax all day.

I've been doing real well with my eating this week, I'm going into the weekend with most of my Flex points left, and I've had a light breakfast today to offset the possible eating out and drinks later.     Didn't get to the gym, but will go back on Monday, since Jake will be back in school.    I'm really hoping to lose a lot of weight and then get a job working for Planet Fitness.   They are open 24 hours and that would be great incentive to stay in shape.

Muril, hope you find lots of good stuff at the sales this morning!  Continuing to send good thoughts and hugs for Miss Nancy, I sure hope she is 100% real soon.

Dusta, sorry to hear your foot is still bothering you.  Did you try taping your toes together?    I think I had a list of core snacks, will double check and send it to you if I find it.

Pammie, YOU ROCK!   Way to go on your weight loss.   FTLOG, if the weather would ever stabilize I think we'd all be healthier, mind and body!   Jake and I almost got carried away by the blackflies the other day at my parents.    I miss Kathyf, we used to really have some fun during baseball season, since she has the incredibly poor choice of the Yankees for a favorite team   LOL

Jen  :)    Got your mail yesterday.    Too cute, thank you.   It was my pleasure, and it's been so much fun watching you prepare for your big day    :)    Almost makes me want to do it again...  NOT!    :)

Dawn, you are in the home stretch   :)   That last 8 or 9 weeks was the longest of the whole thing for me, but I was also on bedrest.    I was "lucky", at 41 weeks I'd never had a single real contraction, hadn't dialated or effaced at all.    One night of Braxton Hicks after Tim insisted I try eating jalapeno poppers to get things going.     LOL       Oh, and just when you think the kid cannot possibly get any bigger or jam their foot/head/elbow into anyplace MORE painful for you, they do   :)

Can we all send Debbie some good thoughts for some dry weather?   Been a scary week out her way with rain/tornados/etc and they need a string of good weather so they can get things in the ground!

Waving to everyone who checks in later    :)

    Good Morning! Coffee

I am having my second cup of coffee and getting ready to eat B'fast and head out to y.s.- well after I dry my hair. :)

Dusta, we usually have a general plan to keep from backtracking.  DH gets the addresses from the online newspaper and we line them up pretty good and stop at some not in the paper too. :)

Sorry about your foot. :(  Do you wear the new balance? When my sister had a time with her feet standing on them all day the Dr. recommended new balance- not the cheap ones but the ones that support and absorb shock etc...cost around a $100.  DH bought a pair comparable for his sister but they were the wrong size- so shipping them back and then ordering another size up. Good thing they have free shipping both ways at Shoebuy.com :)

Off to get ready!:)  It is a lovely spring day here today! Yippee!

    :)

    Hugs, Muril

Morning Muril!   :P   Glad someone is getting good weather!   Wish I was coming yard sale-ing with you, I haven't added to my blue glass collection in a few years.     :)

I agree, after I broke my feet the Ortho highly recommended switching to New Balance sneakers.    I get mine at Bob's or Kohl's, and I usually spend between $40 and $70 on sale with a coupon.   I try to keep one pair ahead, so when the pair I'm wearing give out I don't have to buy a new pair at full price or run out to shop.   You all know how I feel about shopping!    :)

I have wraped my toes and that helps, but I cannot put on a shoe. When I hit this same toe several years ago I wore a sandal with a stiff sole and had two bands across it. It was in the winter and I wore those things with socks for 6 weeks. I don't have any new balance, but I do have those zcoil shoes and I don't remember what the others are.

    Jolene have fun today.

Jolene, I was going to buy some rhubarb today for a rhubarb crisp for tomorrow's cookout and lo and behold couldn't find any rhubarb ...well at Wal-mart anyway. :(  Oh well...

Dusta, hope your toe is feeling better.

Keith and Lori is coming over for supper and think Clay gets off from work in time to be here too.  Ryan and Crystal are having a night out together. Good for them. :)

I am marinading some b/s thighs for supper. We were going to grill them but the sky is clouding up...My Lands I sound whiney today. :)  So, guess if all else fails - will bake them. I am also planning on fried rice and oven roasted veggies so have to heat the oven up anyway.

    :)

Good morning. I had to get up and go at 3 this morning, went back to bed, tossed and turned for an hour and finally got up. Lucky woman, I am. Have not done this in a long time.

Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Happy Sunday Healthy Ones! Big Smile

Morning Dusta!  Sorry you didn't sleep well. I woke up at 2:30 remembering I hadn't started the dishwasher so got up then. :)  But,slept pretty well considering.  It was late before I went to sleep waiting on the cake to cool enough to refrigerate. :)  What are your plans for today besides catching up on some sleep? :)

I ended up making a unique version of Leana's Gooey Apple cake for the cookout at my sister's today. Remember we are going up this morning to their church and her DH is getting baptized- then a cookout later at thier home? Anyway, I realized I didn't have enough plain flour for the recipe. I had a box of country pumpkin cake mix- a specialty item that my sweet neighbor Teresa gave me a few months ago. I made it without the pumpkin and added 2 cups of chopped apples, some raisins and pecans and then proceeded with the cream cheese topping as the original apple cake called for. It looks good, but the only thing is, if it is wonderful, may not be able to duplicate it again. lol  I also made a broccoli salad so both dishes need to stay cold. I guess we can put them in the cooler. Hope they fit in the small one because we are taking my car so we can save some gas. :)

I still need to get my hair dried, get dressed and eat B'fast so better get off here. :)

Have a lovely Sunday All!  :)

    Hugs, Muril

Morning everyone.   Dreary cold and gray here in NH this morning.  Jake had a fun time at my parents yesterday, but date day was sort of a bust here.    We had a stupid argument, and it just ruined the whole day.   Tim picked up Chinese, and I'm very proud of the fact that I set my limit and didn't overdo.    Not sure what we are doing today, but since it's so cold I think I'll bake some cookies to warm the house up.

{{Dusta}}   Sorry you were up so early, hope you can get some rest later on.

Muril, your cake sounds wonderful, your afternoon sounds fun.

Muril saw rhubarb  today and thought about you.  That is what I did today bought groceries and rode the bike. Mel sent me to the bx to buy a sewing machine with things on it. He has one that his wife used, but it is plain, he wanted one with stuff on it.
