My name is Sherry, I am a 50 year old, was married for almost 25 years. My husband died in 2005. We never managed to have kids (I had lots of miscarriages). We had some reverse roles at times because of his health issues (diabetes and lots of other things) that disabled him, but at one point in time when we lived in NC I was a stay at home wife. We would have preferred it that way, especially him. We were pretty old fashioned too and I'm not one bit sorry for it. I work full time at the post office and part time as a registered nurse, am also a volunteer parish nurse for my church and the pianist. I love to cook, collect recipes, don't believe Margie when she says she collects dust bunnies. Her house is immaculate. She would die if she saw my collection of dust bunnies (LOL). I used to collect bears, still collect Christmas ornaments, Thomas Kincaid things mostly lighthouses, mugs, hummingbirds... I love to read, crochet, cross stitch, play piano. I have 2 dogs and a cat. I have a brother in TN and an adopted brother (sort of) in IN. I love Missouri. My parents were from WV and it reminds me of WV. I live in Phoenix AZ. Spend a lot of time in the pool in the summer. Congratulations on your marriage. You will be a great cook if you spend much time on here. There are some great cooks in this group, Margie being one of them. My husband was from NC, I was born here, we met in college in TN a long, long, long, time ago (I was 17). Tell your fiance thanks for serving our country.
