Mary – The girl at the salon the other day did some parts with a razor.  I think that was the first time I'd had that done.  My hair is stick-straight.  No natural curl, body, nothing.  But that's okay.  Congratulations for being off the Chantix completely.  You have do SO well.  I'm very proud of you.  I know it has been hard.  You are such an inspiration with your cleaning.

Hauke – Heather's trip into Chile sounds very hectic.  I hope they all got to the tour on time.  She will have such tales to tell.  That's a good idea about making and freezing the cabbage rolls.

Nancy – WOW!  That is a lot for a shot.  Medical prices are so outrageous.  I wonder if you used SF applesauce would help in that recipe.  Yes, I do plan on doing a diary/journal of my journal with the surgery.  I also want to take pictures.  Definitely a "before" picture, but others along the way.  I've just got to find somebody to take them.

Zonebrat – Good luck to your DH with the ulcer on his toe.  I know as diabetics we really have to keep a close eye on our feet.  They can get infected so easily.  Please keep us posted.

Paula – You poor thing.  {{{hug}}}  Yes, DH is a big boy, but he does need to know some of the consequences if he doesn't make good choices.  Yes, he can have sweets occasionally, but not on a regular basis.  Does he like chicken?  That is low fat and high in protein and there are some good recipes for chicken.  Good luck.

Deb – Your dinner from last night sounds so good.  How very sad about Diane's mother.  My prayers go with her and her family.

Sandy - I hope you are enjoying your quiet weekend.

Michele – I'm sorry things didn't go well at the planner's yesterday.  Good luck at the attorney's office.  Get some rest.  You've been very busy at work lately.

I'm not sure what happened with that empty post and I can't delete it!

I'm running up to where my sister lives.  She is having foot surgery tomorrow so I am going to bring my walker (from when I broke my leg) up to her house so she can use it.

It is chilly here -- 37 degrees.  But supposed to be a nice day.  Rain tomorrow.

We have been so busy at work.  One guy sent in 21 documents, all of them over 100 pages.  He wants them converted into Word and cleaned up.  We will be very busy for a while.

It's good morning time, but may be afternoon when I am done.

MARY, waiting for a warm-up here, too. But, too cold at night for plants to be out. In fact, I don't even feel like putzing in the yard.

JOYCE, bet you are typing up a storm, today. We may rename you, Flying Fingers.

We were out all morning getting blood tests and that other one, too. Then, Russell needed an EKG and X-ray for next week. So, seeing we hadn't eaten since dinner last night, we stopped for breakfast.

Later on, I have bell practice, but for now I had better get back to things around the house. Russell had a taste for oatmeal cookies, so I made some I found on the Cookin' Seniors thread. They post weekly recipes.

Hi to all in the DC.

    Good afternoon all.

Nancy, what a busy morning with tests for you and Russell.  A spring rain is always nice-to sleep through!!LOL  We need some rain even tho I still see fields with water.

Michele, that is too bad about the financial planners' news.  Hope the appt with the lawyer goes smoothly for you.  Hugs and prayers coming your way.

Mary, we are still having sunshine....the rain once again missed us, but more forecast for Thursday and Friday.  We are not as cold as predicted either.  Supposed to get near 60 today, but it did go below freezing overnight.  Good luck with the closets.

Joyce, hope your fingers are in good shape for all that typing!!LOL

hauke, I am ready for more cabbage rolls.  I'll have to check the freezer to see if we have any left from last fall.  There just might be on package hiding out!!LOL

Went to Curves earlier than normal today, then got a haircut and then took the car for an oil change.  Was still home by noon which seemed nice.  Nice, I'm already for a new week work and all that it brings.

    Have a good day all.

    Deb

    Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well. My DH goes in to see our primary MD tomorrow, so they'll take alook at that ulcer and see how it's doing, he's just trying to stay off his feet and putting neosporine w/bandage for now. I sure hope he heals well. We already take care of my mom who live's with us and is disabled, I just can't think of how it will be if he start's having problems too.

His employer is going to use his vacation time to cover the time off, so that's good. He won't see the MD to discuss the angio for another 2wks. Just scared about the dye that they say can cause problems for the kidneys.

I got him set up to put a roast in one of those Reynold's Hot bag's last nite for dinner, it came out really well and I think he even enjoyed doing it. That is the first time we have used that. Tonight will be a easy dinner...Hot dog's & Beans don't know what else I'll try to have with them.

Well hope everyone has a good day. Will check back in again. Thank you everyone for being here for us newbies.

    Sincerely, Zonebrat

     HI Everyone!!!

Nancy, we had to go tonight for Ron to get his catroid artery checked....never a week goes by without an appointment somewhere!!  Good luck to you and Russell with your tests.  I saw in our local paper one the the phamacy's is giving the Shingles shot.....I thought at that price, and no insurance coverage, I bet people are really standing in line to get it done...LOL

Hauke, how many cabbage rolls did you make???  I just might have to do that this summer...freeze some for Mom and I....I do make stuffed peppers because Ron can eat the peppers, but not the cabbage.

Deb, I need to get the oil changed in the van and of course, the truck needs it too.  I think the truck needs inspection this month too.  How do you like your hair cut??

Good Evening Zonebrat!! I hope you DH does okay at the doctor!!!  I read that you take care of your handicapped Mom....I do too. Mom had a stroke almost 1 1/2 years ago. The stroke effected her good leg, so now she uses a walker and doesn't have the mobility she should have.

Paula....saying hi and how are you to you too!! Glad you both are stopping by!!

((((Michelle)))) I think you need a few hugs!!

Joyce,  how are things going for you? Are you getting more adjusted to working nights?? Hope so!!

I cleaned the bathroom closets and the vanity. I threw away quite a bit of stuff too.  It looks so organized now and neat....Tomorrow, if all goes well, I might do the other closet in the other bathroom.  Mom is a real pack rat too and saves every little things from many moons ago...some of that went today too...LOL  I will hear about it later, I am sure...I thought heck, all that stuff she hasn't used in years, why keep it???

Wishing you ALL a great evening!!

    Hugs to ALL,

Hi gang! Welcome to the New Folks on our block too. That first cup of coffee really DOES taste good. I'm still having some of the AM coffee warmed up now, I can drink coffee until bedtime. If none is left, I fix instant regular or decaf. Dedicated to my coffee, at least it's calorie and fat free.... Michele, I'm sorry you have to see an attorney now, but best it's done now, no point in waiting. Even that "big check" from the government won't be enough to sneeze at. At least your drain got fixed finally.

hauke, I'm wondering if you heard from Heather yet??   I wonder about the food they are eating??  And how many stuffed cabbage rolls did you and Mom make???  I never make enough to freeze, just enough for leftovers, for another meal that is.  Haven't made them in a long while.

deb, how do you like your haircut, I want to know also, lol.  We also have below freezing temps, but it makes it to 60 at some point.   The wind make it miserable though.

Nancy, how are you doing, and what time of year can you get into your yard to do alot anyway??

Joyce, that teacher we eat breakfast with at the high school, she says when you get ready to have the surgery, you get assigned someone who assists you, and they take those photos of you, and go with you to have the surgery, moral support and all that.  Usually it's someone who has had the surgery.  At least that is how her medical center did it, it was at the same place where dh had his liver transplant surgery actually.  I'm so happy for you I could cry, and I have!! :) I'm talking about the teacher that had that surgery several years ago.  She is on her 2nd husband, her first husband married her when she was very heavy, and they divorced when their daughter was 5 yrs old.  She met this other guy while she was still heavy, and they got married while she was still heavy, but she had the surgery after that.  Then she had 2 more girls!!!!   She says now she wishes she had the surgery sooner, she kept putting it off.   Her sister needs to have the surgery now, and is waiting to be able to take off work.

Mary, it's weird not having appts to go to, but there are still 2 days left in the week, and that place can call us at any time to come down.   I had my ringtone changed on the cell phone, so we will notice it easier, the music I had on it, it sounded too much like music on the tv or radio.  Now I have that "Yoh Hoh, Yoh Hoh, A Pirate's Life For Me" from Pirates of the Carribean ride at Disnelyland on there.   The cell phone is the phone that UC Davis calls us on.    Oh yeah, wanted to commend you on the NON SMOKING, non smelling, how great is that!!!!

Good night folks, I'm almost at the point where I have to do dh's nightly meds.

    Doris
