    Storage tip

Someone may have already mentioned this on this thread, and if so, I apologise for the repeat.

In the past, I've used sticky back labels on jars, plastic tubs, and even plastic storage bags, to mark the contents of the package. Of course, over time, the label fades, or gets damp and smears, and then I'm left wondering what I've got!

It just occurred to me, that the marker for CDs is to write on plastic!

    Aha!

I've been using the marker for the CDs to write on the outside or lid of my plastic tubs, the contents of the container. Most containers I am using are washed margarine tubs, cream cheese tubs, frosting tubs, etc., that I really only use once or twice, then send to the recycling. What I like about using the larger tubs this way, is that, if storing rice or pasta, I can write the cooking instructions on the container.

I couldn't get along without my collection of Sharpie pens.  They mark all kinds of plastic containers and can lids so I know the contents and expiration date.  Never take away my Sharpies - I'd be lost without them!!  LOL

I use my Sharpies on my ziploc and Food Saver bags too, just be sure you write above the zipper or sealed part and not directly over the food..I hear it can seep thru.
