    Good Morning June friends!

Hope you're all having a good week!! Can't believe it's May already!! Love the month of May, so nice when everything starts to grow, and I can start planting flowers, etc...

I have a busy day today. At noon I have to get DD from school and take her to an ortho appointment, right after that I have to go for my needle. Sometime need to do a big grocery shop... After school have to be at school again to get both DDs and go to their school soccer game, right from that game to have to hurry out of town to youngest DD's other soccer game. School has parent/teacher interviews tonight and I really wanted to meet with a few teachers, but won't be able to fit it in.

Okay, need to run along and clean bathrooms and vacuum.  Have a good day all!!

Boy did our weather change! It was so cold & very windy yesterday. I kept the kids inside. If they don't bring a jacket they need to sit in the office for recess .I had about 6 that didn't bring. So I just kept them in. They love to play insideSmile

Dh has a meeting to go tonight. So not sure what I will fix myself for dinner. But sure it will be easy!

Need to get going...Have a Blessed May Day everyone!

    Hello again.

I just got home, decided to stop at a few garage sales today.  They are just starting around here.  I picked up a few things.  2 Thomas Kincaid puzzles for .50 each, a pretty doilley to add to my collection for .25, a wooden 3-tier corner shelf (handmade to look old) for 1.00 - I'll put that up in Sam's new bedroom for a place for him to show off some things, and I also got one of those old aluminum strainers for .25!

Also checked my emails,  got one from Marie, I had passed along to her all your good thoughts for her and her family.  I thought I'd post her reply.

    Hi Patti,
You are such a kind & thoughtful person & so are my June Sister's.  I love each and everyone of  you and thank you so much for your kind words & thoughts and prayers.
I have asked Reiman several times about the board problems I am having and when I do get connected I can not post or go anyplace. After a few e-mails they acknowledged my problem & said I'm not alone & thanked me for writing BUT they did NOT offer any help or solutions.
Take care & Hugs & Love to all,
    Marie

I'm going to gor outside now for awhile, then come in and shower and get ready to go to dr.  I want to leave early and stop at Kohl's, they have 80% off their clearance racks!  Hope to find things for the boys for next year.

Hey again everyone!!  Well I had breakfast with my hunny, and now I am sitting here I was cleaning but I got to thinking about it, and I have bills on the counter, and stuff I need to keep out instead of filing away like the dog records since I am taking him soon, and reciepts I need to keep out, and etc, so I got to thinking and I wanna make a wall organizer thingy, ya know the ones that hold your bills and stuff, but I dont wanna make it out of wood, and I know I saw a one at a scrapbooking store but for the life of me I cant remimber how to make it!  I am so upset that I didnt take the class!  So any ideas?

Morning all! Wasn't able to post yesterday because I was painting. I removed the mirror, medicine cabinet door, and the cupboard doors to paint. I got all of the doors and trim painted. We are painting the walls a mauve and the trim a lighter color of  mauve. It took me all day just to get all of that done. I was so tired last night. Today I'm not going to much-just need to recuperate!!! My folks are going out of town for few days so DH and I need to go out and get their mail ,feed the cats and check the cows. They live on a farm. My dad wanted his second child to be a boy- but got me. So I grew up hauling bales, feeding cows, driving a tractor to plow fields. It's amazing how lucky my DS has it. If I ask him do much he acts like I'm asking for a kidney donation!!!!!LOL Today the weather is nasty. We are suppose to get 5 inches of snow with 60 mile an hour winds, YUCK!! Where is spring? Well I best go and pay bills. Hope all have a great day!

Sherry, I'm glad you like the cookies. They are like Lay's pototoe chips- you can't eat just one!!! LOL

Patti, I hope you dr. appointment goes great. I have an over active thyroid and take meds everyday. Mine was so bad that I was so dizzy. I couldn't even drive for awhile. I also love to go to garage sales. I really find some good stuff to add to my junk. I'm the president of the pack rat club!!!!!!!

    HI again,

Got the boys off to school.  Jason and I had some time to kill before I had to drop him off so we went to McDonald's for breakfast (drive thru)  I LOVE the fruit and yogurt parfaits - they use the best tasting vanilla yogurt, so thick and sweet.  I also got an egg mcmuffin (w/o egg!)

Now I am home and have some laundry started.  I am really at my wits end about how to handle Donnie and the fact that his room is a DISASTER AREA!!!   I am thinking of giving him a cut off date and if it is not cleaned up I am going to remove his tv (he doesnt' get reception just playstation is hooked up)  Do you gals and experienced mothers have any suggestions for me?  I have even cleaned it up for him and told him what he had to do to maintain.  Things like putting clean clothes away, dirty cloths in the hamper, trash in the trash can, make bed.  VERY basic stuff and he fails to do it.  He is such a good kid and he gets good grades, but I can't put up with this sloppiness.  I find it insulting to me and an his dad.  Oh well.  I will be quiet about it now.

I might make those peanut butter chocolate chip cookies today.  I will just have to keep myself from eating all of them!!  Have to see if I am up for the challenge - LOL

Well, I better get going or nothing will get done around here today.  This computer chair is getting might comfy.

Hello Again Ladies. Thought I'd pop back in for a little while, just waiting for the towels to dry in the dryer. I have m y quilt and sheets on the line, and white clothes are already cleaned, folded and put away. I had a productive morning giving our bedroom a good cleaning. It's starting to warm up outside, but not as warm as I'd like it to be. At least we're not getting rain.

Jolene, What a cute idea giving "May Day baskets to the neighbors. I never heard of it before. My husband was telling me when he was a child they always had a May Day celebration at school where they did fun things all day. WE never had that when I was in school. it was only a day at school just like every other day! Thats such a nice idea handing down the communion dress in your family. WE have a communion to go to in two weeks. My niece's son is receiving First Communion on May 17th. We're looking forward to seeing my family again that day.

Laura, Sounds like your having a busy day today. Hope all goes well.

Margie, I love your mailbozx siggy, so cute.

Jessica, Congrarts on the 95 on your test! Enjoy grilling out tonight. I love the way food tastes on the fgrill. There's nothing  like it. Enjoy your day.

Hello to anyone I may have missed.

    Hello Ladies !

How are you all ? Here, it's cold and rainy. Definitely not like a May day.

Today is Labor Day in France and  a day off for almost everyone.

Margie, your dinner sounds delicious. I'd come and have dinner with you if I could ! As for me,  I have cooked some Beef Bourguignon (beef in a red wine sauce with carrots and mushrooms). It's still cooking in the slow cooker. Wanted to make a cake, but didn't have enough time 'cos I had to correct some tests.

Sherry, Hope your interview will work.

Jessica, a very late welcome to the group!

Kim, may you be all right with your sinus problems !

As soon as I can, I'll post some pics of our kitten. He is a wonderful blue eyed half tomcat, half Siamese with a light and dark gray fur.

Have a very nice and sunny day, and thinking  of you all,

    Annie

Kathleen, I have 2 teen DD's, I feel your pain!! I have tried many things over the years, like taking everything on the floor and put it into garbage bags and hide it, didn't work... one thing that works is no TV or computer till room is clean, works every time.

OR just keep the bedroom door CLOSED!!

Joy is not in things, it is in us.

Hello Again ladies. I just need to vent a little.  A month ago I made my ob-gyn appointment for June 20th, now, a little while ago the office calls to say the dr won't be in that day , so I had to change my appointment, luckily I was able to get in earlier in that week, but only an afternoon appointment was available, and I originally had a morning appointment. it's so big deal I guess because last year I went in the afternoon, and it was so nice and quiet. I guess most women like to go early in the day. The point of my vent is, this happens way too much with this office. I've been going there for 30 years, and the past five years or so there is always a problem getting an appointment on a certain day, or if I already have an appointment, it ends up getting changed. This is why when I'm done with my appointment, I don't like to make one for the following year, because it will probably get changed anyway, I wish i wasen't having so many female problems, because I'm really considering changing dr's but I love the dr and office I go to now, I just hate all the changing. I'm so glad i don't work outside the home, because I would have to keep changing time off.  Sorry for the long vent! Anyone else have this problem?

Re: June Cleaver Club Thursday 5/1/08

this has been a very long day. Thought we were going to get overtime. My headphones broke on the way into work, so had no radio to listen to all day. Went straight from work over to other house and waited 5 hours for the A/C people to come and determine what the problem was. I was thinking it would be a couple of hundred dollars, but instead it is 450 and they still have to order the part. Had I known that, I would have just fixed the cooler and forgotten about the A/C for this year. SO there goes my tax rebate as soon as it gets here. Registry called and asked where I worked the 20th. They were still thinking I had worked at County and I had to tell them again that they had sent me to St Lukes. This does not bode well for me getting paid tomorrow I don't think. I might have to put the root canal off which I can't really do much longer or else get the tooth extracted and forget the root canal. Guess I am going to have to hold off on the hair cut and highlighting also. Can't work over there with no cooling though.

Work shouldn't have given me those two weeks off so I can go to orientation if they can find a floor that wants me, but they did..There were two days they were at the limit, and they would have had every right not to approve it.. I am so upset with registry and this just takes the cake. I'm still waiting for them to pay the 2 hours from a month ago when I got cancelled that one shift. I can't quit until I know I have something else to go to because I need the hours. Even if I can get to Banner and get in the orientation that starts June 2, it will be 7 weeks before I can get paid. The mail is picking up, but not so much that I wouldn't need to work registry. YOu would think they would at least know where they had sent me and I guess they were asking County where my hours were and I hadn't worked there. GRRR. Sorry to vent. This is going to be a barely get home, scarf something down, and try to go to sleep night. Oh well.

    Sherry
