    amish cinnamon bread

A few years ago I got a starter of Amish Cinnamon Bread.  This is a bread that you get a starter bag from a friend then you leave on your counter for ten days adding something each day.  One the tenth day you divid it bake some and share some. I made and shared it.  Now my girlfriend wants to start it again.  Does anyone have the starter recipe?  Please share.

Lynn, if you want to email me, I can send the recipe in better format, I can't get it to copy from Word into the BB without it messing up the spacing.

Check your PM for my email address.

Thanks Marcia for making better sense of my jumbled mess. It just would not copy from Word properly and I even tried to edit it.  I did finally get it to Lynn in an email.  That worked better.  LOL!

    Take care!

    Re: amish cinnamon bread

It' had been years since I got a starter of the Amish Bread recipe & 6 or so months ago a neighbor gave me one. The cinnamon bread recipe above was fantastic and is exactly like the one I was given.

As just a suggestion I tried a couple different variations...for one I used 2 packs of instant coconut pudding mix & nuts--and I also tried lemon instant pudding for a change. They were both great!!!

It's been a couple months now, I'm thinking I'll get another recipe for the starter going soon!!

Renee, they sound great.  I'm thinking I might try butterscotch pudding, but not sure if I would still add the cinnamon or not.  I guess I'll just have to try it and see.
