    Hi Margie,

I was woke up by the darn cat meowing outside my bedroom door!!  Not exactly sure what he wanted, but he stopped as soon as I came out, thank goodness!!  Realized Ray was not home from work yet (he had to go out on a call at 10) so I came downstairs to call him.   Found out he went back to the office/shop because there was a problem with one of the work trucks and he decided to just crash on the couch in his office.  Needless to say I am relieved.  I get worried about him going out to jobs late at night.  He is planning on coming home early today.

Haven't a clue what  I am making for dinner tonight.  Something simple for sure.

Donnie did great in his baseball game last night and the coach gave him the game ball afterwards.  I am so happy for him.  He had been in a slump and was real down about it and it lookes like that is turning around.

Well I am going to head back up to bed.  Now that I am getting sleepy again and not worried about Ray I will be able to get a few more hours of zzzzz...

Later this morning I am going to be heading to the Salvation Army thrift store - Friday is half-price day.  I am hoping that a dresser I had my eye on for Donnie's room is still available.

I will be back on later.  C-ya!!!

Hi, margie, I woke up half an hour early and couldn't get back to sleep so maybe will try to get a nap in this afternoon if I don't get overtime. Registry did manage to pay me after all, so that's good. I have to figure bills later on which is going to be a major juggling act because of the root canal and the A/C repair. Hopefully the tax rebate will come in next week like it is supposed to. Will try not to be such a grouch today. Happy anniversary to Patti and her DH. Margie, you have my curiosity up. How do you make french fries and onion rings? With a deep fryer? I actually have one that I only use when I make sweet and sour pork which I haven't made since way before Gregg died. Love that recipe, but it is so time consuming and messy (arghhh). Need to get a cup of coffee. Might get a swim in today. Yesterday was beautiful. But was waiting at other house for the A/C guy to come. I wish I could have predicted how much that would be or I would have just fixed the evap. Oh well, too late now.

Have Tuesday off and so will try to get a registry day in that day because root canal is Thursday.

Might also sign up for next Saturday night, but they probably won't have hours that night. I should sign up for Saturday night, but I'm not going to. I am tired. This has been a really busy and tiring week for some reason.

    Hi to everybody :-)

Hi all,   Margie   so glad warm weather is with you in NC...today it is expected to hit 75 so that will be nice.  rain but nice.   payday so hope it goes well.....one of the girls has a side line of purses and is going to have a table with them set up...phooeeyyy   I will have to keep an eye on those, she is donating some of the money to our Trips Ahoy group so that is why she is going to have permission to do this....

My Mom gave me her wedding ring for me to hand down to Kelly and Kassie and she also gave Kelly one of her favorite rings and since Mom had a very small ring size I had to enlarge mine and a gal at work makes jewerly out out antique pieces and we had her make a necklace out of the one Mom gave Kelly and it is just beautiful, she put it on a chain made of the same stones...Mom would have loved it...and Kelly will get wear it a lot.  It is really so pretty.  It is turquoise with stones of differant hues and the chain has some of the same colors in it...very unique.  we are so lucky.  My Dad had Mom's ring redone with her Grandmothers stones set in, it is so beautiful but I still see it on Mom' s finger and I get sad so I don't wear it often which is not right because Mom wanted me to enjoy wearing it.

Hope Patti and Royce enjoy their special day...

Hi to everyone and Sherry it sure is not easy is it ....love and prayers always comming your way....   well better go   take care    Shirley

Shirley, I don't mind working extra hours, I really don't. I don't mind having the plan to get this stuff paid off. I don't mind not being able to use the credit cards and have to go by a budget. That is actually a relief. What get to me is not knowing whether I will have enough hours to make the payments and having the extra things come up...especially the two extra things right now. The A/C took what I was going to use to get the truck maintenance done, so I will have to come up with another plan to do that I guess. May is always a tough month for me which actually ends with June 1. Our anniversary was in May and I always took the two weeks between our anniversary (May 21) and Gregg's birthday (june 1) off because it was the only way I could get both days off. I'm sure that is part of it. This year it just has the added stress of not knowing what will happen with Banner.

That sounds like a great way to make onion rings Margie. Maybe whenever I make the bacon wrapped hamburgers again will try making some of them. Might do that over the weekend. Not sure. Going to use my gift card and take lady from church to Olive Garden for soup, salad, and breadsticks. Using the gift card the church gave me for the month I cleaned and it has to be either Red Lobster or Olive Garden. Red Lobster is still hard for me because it was Gregg's favorite place. He hated Olive Garden, so I should be safe there (LOL)

Kathleen, glad you found out what happened to Ray and he will be able to come home early. Congratulations to Donnie.

Re: June Cleaver Club Friday 5/2/08

Good morning Junebugs, it is going to be only 60 degrees today, but I'll take it. I had a very good day yesterday, went shopping at Kohl's, and only found me 1 sweatshirt, but found a lot of bargains for DH. I brought him 10 shirts and T-Shirts at $3.60 each, all Sonoma and Apt 9, real nice shirts. Then went to Barnes and Noble, and had a bagel with cream cheese and a Passion iced tea. Brought a couple of books and ate and went home and had a little nap.

Today I have the dreaded appointment with my Gyn doctor, at least I will be comfortable, she is a woman, and a new doctor to me, my other doctor was a man and was a little rough, and I went to him for a long time, until he retired. So wish me luck, I'll be glad when it is over, then I have an errand up to Christmas Tree Shop, and Big Lots, want to find me a quilt for my bed, I am going to buy Queen size this time, as DH hogs all of the blankets, Lol. Then off to Big Lots and pick me up a nozzle for my hose, they had them for 2 in a package for $6.00, thought that was a good deal. Then home for a little reading and a little nap, before DH gets home. We are going to have grilled steak and baked sweet potatoes for supper, that should be easy.

Off I go to take my shower, will try to chat later, hope to plant some bulbs this weekend, and put up my little wrought iron fence, I brought, so DH doesn't mow down my Clematis, that is planted by the bird pole. I also am going to plant pale yellow sunflowers by the bird feeders, the birds just love to sit on the sunflowers and peck away at them, and I enjoy watching them from the swing. So be good today girls, plant some flower bulbs and watch them grow. Happy Anniversary to Patti and DH, may you have a great day and many happy years to come.

Woke up to a thunderstorm this morning.  It stopped awhile ago, but more could pop up throughout the day.  Hope they stay away as Ben goes on his class trip.  He is so excited.

Hard to believe that it has been 27 yrs. now for Royce and I.  Wow, I'm old!   lol   We are going to go out for supper.  Thank you all so much for the warm wishes.

Today I need to stop and pick a few things up at WalMart and I might take in a couple more garage sales, if they decided to have them with this weather.  Then home to do laundry and some vacuuming and general cleaning. No outside work as it is all muddy out there.

Royce was putting in my new kitchen faucet last night, but found another part under the sink that was cracked, so, I have to stop and get a new piece and then he will finish that up this weekend.  I really think I'll like this one, it's all in one piece, no seperate faucets and the sprayer is  built right into the spout .

    Have a great day!!

    hugs.............patti

Good Morning Ladies, and Happy Friday! Hope everyone is doing well this Friday morning. Having my usual morning routine.  Not much going on yet. WE had rain overnight, and now it's cloudy and raining lightly. The wekend weather forecast has changed so many times, I'm not sure what to expect. DH and I went to pick up a few of my things at my father's house last night. My oldest sister put aside some pictures and things that were mine. I only brought threm into the house last night, didn't feel like looking through everything, so I may do that today. I want to clean the bathroom too, but not sure what else I'll do. Supper for tonight will be breaded fish fillets, fries and a salad.

Happy Anniversary to Patti and Royce. Hope it's a special day for both of you.

Margie, I can't wait to have temps in the 80's around here. Our warm weather didn't last long, but it happens all the time. For now I'll have to settle for cloudy rainy or cold weather. I can't wait for it to warm up. I want to finish my spring cleaning.

Thats it for now. HELLO to anyone I may have missed. I'll pop back in later,

    Denise

Re: June Cleaver Club Friday 5/2/08

Good morning!  Not much time again this morning.  I had to take Andy to school this morning and while I was out I stopped by and treated myself to McDonald's breakfast!  I work 10-10 today.  It's my 5th day of a 7 day stretch, 78 hours without a day off.  Thank goodness the pay is good!  LOL!  That's what keeps me going.

My oldest son called me last night and told me that the wedding we're going to in VA has been cancelled.  He said he wanted to do something else for vacation now.  I told him to have fun, I was going to VA to Busch Gardens!  He called me back last night and said that they're going with me, plans are staying the same, but no wedding to attend.  So, we leave out of here on the 15th and are coming back the 20th. A feather in my hat, I won that battle!  He's a good kid.

I have to go and get my tags renewed on my car today during my lunch break.  The place I have to go to is a 1/2 hour away.  One thing about small towns is that you have to go to the county seat.  Nothing in your local town.  It's only $130.  Not too bad.  Would've been better if it was after vacation.  I think I'll drag my friend George with me and grab a bite to eat out somewhere on the way back.

Margie, the onion ring recipe sounds good and easy.  I don't fry food much, but might give them a try.  What are your weekend plans?  The weather is in the 80's here and sunny today and tomorrow.  Chance of rain late Sunday.  I work all day so that doesn't matter.  It will probably rain when I'm off on Monday!  That's my luck.  Did you get the dolls from your friend?  You'll have to take pics and show us.  That was so nice of him.  How is your SIL, parents and Daniel?  Is Emily doing ok?  Is she still hooked on Cory?

Happy Anniversary Patti and Royce.  Hope you have a great day planned.

Shoot, got to go and hit the showers or I'll be late for work.

    Good Morning June friends!!

Hope you all slept well and ready for the weekend!! : )

Had a fun night last night watching 2 soccer games. DDs both won their games so that makes it more interesting!! My DDs out of town game was where my niece lives, so she and her DDs came to watch.

Today I'm meeting my family for lunch, we were suppose to meet last week, but had to cancel. Looking forward to it. Hope my brother comes, I don't see him much.

Other than that not many plans today, except tidy the house, haven't spent much time cleaning the house this week, and it shows!! DD has plans with her friends tonight. They were going to have a sleepover, but changed to just an evening out.

    Have a good Friday
