Hi day after May Day to all of you. I couldn't log on yesterday, it just wouldn't let me. It's to be drippy here all weekend. I overslept, so I am running behind, as usual. I got home from school yesterda , planning to take a nap-well, that didn't happen, made supper and did some laundry and the dishwasher. Now I've got to go in and finish what I didn't get done yesterday. Anyway, have a Sonny day and blessed be.

    Good morning and T G I F !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dreary, 45 and breezy. Not much for rain last night and only a little of thunder and lightening too. Today it sounds like we could get quite a bit of rain.

A stop after work for milk and then home to dance with the Dyson.

More testing at school so the day will not go well. Too many of our students don't deal with schedule change very well at all.

Scrambled eggs and toast if there are any takers. I have some oj and grapefruit juice too.

    Have a wonderful day everyon.

    Morning everyone!

Sorry Apple, I didn't know you were still here.  Looks like we double posted.

The sun is trying to shine here.  It is a  lot milder than it has been and that is good.

Today is Friday and pay day.  Going to order myself some shoes today.  Then I think I will go and get some forever stamps before they go up.  I already go gas so by the end of the day I should be broke again.

Did talk to DD last evening and DGS has two staples in his head and a slight concussion.  DD said the dr. showed her the cut before he stapled him.  The dr. said it was very deep.  I found out that they weren't horsing around like I thought 3 boys together might be doing.  His back brakes (on his bicycle) failed and he used the front brakes to slow down and then before he was completely stopped he jumped off and his feet slipped and he fell.  They all laughed, even JP, till he got up and the boys saw how bad he was bleeding.  They walked him home so thought that was very nice of them.  He isn't going to school today and no sports for a week.  He will just make it back in time for county track meet.

Well guess I'd better get a move on.  DH called and I've got to stop on my way to work and give him an allergy pill.  Confused  Men...and they say women are forgetful.  LOL.

    See you later.

Good morning Grannies !  Kind of dreary looking out the window. It is 68* going to 72*. Occasional thunderstorms. Whatever that means. Sort of breezy.

CJ---Have fun at your tea today. I've been hungry for some fresh fruit, so I will add a big bowl of bite size fruit. Peaches, pears, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and a few raspberries thrown in for good measure. M-mmm!

AppleK---Glad you and DD were so productive in your shopping. Haven't been to a Pizza Hut since they added the pasta. Bet it was good. I didn't even know they had such a thing as a lighted crochet hook. But then I'm not in to crochet.

Justme---Thanks for bringing Apple over to have coffee with us.

Lauriet---Sorry you couldn't get here yesterday. Don't know what is up with this board, I've been having trouble also.

Mamma--Another day of testing. Hope it goes better than usual.

Well DH just got up and he brought me a cup of coffee. Will wonders never cease? Said he came to bed at 1 AM. Can't prove it by me, I don't usually even hear him.

Well it is hairdresser day and I want to try and get the freezer defrosted. Really need to go to grocery but don't want to put anything in freezer till I can defrost. So I had better get moving. BBL

     Gooooood Morning, Grannies!!

A gray, windy start to the day. It isn't raining now, but it did earlier and will again later.

Cjayh, It sounds like another fun day at school. I'm waiting for the picture of the flower project. It sounds nice.

Apple, That crochet hook sounds interesting. I never hear of that. Good the presents are all bought. Buying for teens can sometimes be a problem.

Lauriet, I hope you can catch up on your sleep this weekend.

Mamma, Hoping the days goes better than you expect.

Justme,  It sounds like DGSs tumble could have been worse. Glad he will be okay after a couple take it easy days. Payday is always nice. My DH always wished there would be no work on pay day, but the boss never went along with that.

Suzi, Defrosting the freezer is not a fun job, but it is always so nice to have it done. Clean and full is even better.

I hope we hear from Debbie's family soon. Also prayers for Ginny, Vicky and Liny's DH.

Just have to sew around one quilt today and finish the food pantry stuff. Then I can always clean.

    Re: 5/2 Grannie Neighborhood

Good morning. Well so much for spring this week. We had a couple of beautiful days and now it's trying to rain again. I know we need rain but not all in one month. Can't it be spread out over the summer. A few things have started to grow and they sure look nice.

Cjayh take pictures of all of those Mother's day bouquets. They sounded cute. I was never very creative with that kind of projects and sure wasn't very good either.

Apple it sounds like you had the prefect day yesterday. We will hear about the gifts after she gets them and the buffet sounds so good. I'm afraid I've never even heard of a lighted crochet hook. I've got a lighted fishing bobber though.

Lauriet you already have as much done as I'm planning for today. Have a good one.

Mamma sorry about all the schedule changes. I know they like routine. The scrambled eggs, toast and oj sounds like a good start to the day.

When the sun isn't going to be seen for awhile it's hard to get off of this chair. But, I had better. Hope everyone has a good day.

    Hugs and prayers for all.

CoffeeGood Morning! I'm drinking my 2nd cup of coffee. We did get moved into our larger place last weekend, everything was unpacked and put away last saturday, only pictures left to be hung and I'll do that later. We've had a hard time getting maintenance to come out and fix a few things, my DH has already fixed most of them. We also were given the wrong mail box key, then we were unable to get our mail for 7 days, finally yesterday my DH insisted that this was enough we needed our mail and he was not leaving there office till our box was opened, well there was so much mail I don't know how the mail man was able to fit it all inside the small box. We now have a key, but need to make copies. Also we've had a hard time with getting our phone straightened out, but I think that hopefully everything is now complete and okay. I had bible study on wednesday, only 2 more times we'll meet then break for the summer. I think we are headed to northeast tx tomorrow to visit friends, they live on 250 acres, very rural, maybe a great break for us. Automobile

    Re: 5/2 Grannie Neighborhood

Good Morning everyone. It is gray looking, but 55*. Rain and possible severe storms are forecast for today, but clearing by tonight. "Maybe" Sunday will be a spring day!

CJ, Mouse was biting at my toes through the blankets at 5:45. I got up to let him out but he hid on me. Then at 6:15 he was racing around down here. I got up and opened the basement door and he laid down and rolled over. So I was disgusted with him and "tossed" him down there. (not hard!)! I just dozed on and off from then on. Darn cat!!!Smile

Apple, I don't crochet, and especially in the dark!

    Laurie, take an umbrella today!

Mamma, it was lightning coming home last night. Kept me blinking and ducking! LOL

Wanda, glad the DGS isn't more seriously hurt.

Suzi, my DH brought me coffee here just now, too. They know our two important things - coffee and the GN!

Fran, one of my circle members received a carton full of lap robes from a local nursing home which closed. We are going to make quilt tops of them. They are double sided and most are 36" square. She also took a carton of room divider curtains and a lot of the window drapes to use for quilt backings and tops. She'll bring me a smaller box of the lap robes on Sunday.

Sorry, I saw the word post at the bottom and clicked on it before I was finished!

Alby, it is gloomy here, but our weatherman said the coming week should be more like spring, once this storm system moves east. I usually trust him, but this year I don't know weather to or not!  Even he said he was tired of the rain!

Annie, glad to see you here. It sounds like you've had a lot of problems with your move and getting settled. Hope it is much smoother now. How is your dad doing?

Still saying a prayer for Ginny and for Debbie. Do wish her family would contact us.

Good morning all!  It is drizzling here right now. Would like it to get out of its system today. Prom is tomorrow and pictures here. Hope the weather cooperates!

Not much here. Been very busy getting things cleaned and ready for flowers outside. Put hummingbird feeders out this week. Hope they come back like last year. Bought some potted plants. Afraid to plant in the ground just yet the way weather has still been!! Maybe in a week or two.

Dad is doing good. Busy spring cleaning the cabin. Washing wall, windows, ect... Went to first therapy session yesterday. Has two apt next week. Says he is fine as long as he doesnt make a wrong move.

Need to finish my coffee and continue cleaning inside for tomorrows pictures. Have a feeling they will be indoors. Pray for sunshine tomorrow!!
