Thank you to my ss ..... today in the mail I got these cute flip flop charms..........shaped like butterflies.....I absolutely adore them......thank you so much and also got a cute card in the mail.  I have this wonderful feeling we will be friends and sisters a long long time.  Thanks again for thinking of me...............Have a wonderful day!!!

I am so glad that this is Post Card Month because I am so enjoying the trip through the southland with you.  I have seen the Astrodome (from the air) but since I am such an avid football fan, I know that I would love to drop in and visit.  Moving onto Arkansas.  This post card shows the Blanchard Springs Caverns.  The development of caverns always have mystified me, but how beautiful!  I can hardly wait to see where the next card will be from!  I love traveling through America, physically or visually, matters not.  LOL  I think I'll just go ahead and pack a bag just incase you drop by to take me along with you.  Thank You for the fun...you're the best!!

Thank-you so much for the nice Mothers Day letter and Subway gift card. How very thoughtful of you!!! You asked about work, and it is going fine. I really like my job!! Now I must admit, I was a bit confused when you asked how my birds are doing, since I do not have any birds… BUT I do have 1 DH, 2 boys, 3 little grandsons & 3 fur babies & they are all doing GREAT!!! You also asked about the weather and I must admit today is MARVELOUS!!! It is 85 degrees here and I LOVE THE HEAT, so I am enjoying my afternoon off of work very much! Thank-you for thinking of me for Mothers Day.

when I went out and got my mail there was the card from you, that you made for me, it is so cute and the picture of you is great now to put a name with the picture, but I know I have to wait for that. thank you so much for the gift card from Applebee's I will be eating there soon, that is one of my favorite places to go, and barbecue ribs is one of the best there.  your picture is now in my billfold so you will be going everywhere with me hope I don't make you to tired running around, lol

My day sure was brightened!  I came home from work to a mailing from my Sister!  (I hope it's OK to post on this thread - the envelope said April mailing).  My Sister knows me too well - she sent us three "test" books.  They are for personality, IQ, and ESP!  They look interesting - I look forward to having the time to look at them.  I will try the tests and see how I score before I let my family touch them.  Of course, having teenagers - (you know how they are smarter than everyone else) I may not want to reveal my scores!

I got another great package from "Just Me"!  Sis, this actually came yesterday, but I was in a car wreck last night & I went to bed early.  I received a pretty Mother's Day card that she made herself on a computer, stickers GALORE!!!  THANK YOU!!!  I take stickers with me to Nicaragua on my mission trip to put on the kids that come through my station in the Medical Clinic!  I received a cute little fry pan, some GOO GOOS!  My favorite candy!  Thank you!  I am sharing with DH.  I received several of the cutest corn holders shaped like ears of corn & they even had the "tassel"!  A tube of "Melt Away Stress" body lotion(Boy, do I need to melt away some stress!!!),a cute egg shaped scraper, 2 silicone egg character spatulas, a BEAUTIFUL cross key chain that actually has a functioning locket in it!  Love it!  So unique, I have never seen anything like it!  I will put a pic of DH in ther, most likely. A C&W CD with several popular artists on it(Love it!), a cute kitchen towel with flowers & watering cans on it, a DVD of the movie "Ghost"(This is my favorite Patrick Swayze movie)So sad about him having pancreatic cancer!  A cookbook named "The Original Fanny Farmer 1896 Cookbook"  I LOVE it!  I have been reading some tidbits of wisdom in it!  And last but not least, a box of assorted teas.  Thanks so much, Just Me!  I  had a terrible weekend(had to perform CPR on a lady Saturday & then I lost my gold bracelet that my Mama gave me when she passed.[:'(]  Your package was like a ray of sunshine!  Hugs!  ~Jeanne

So Missouri was your next stop on your travels, huh?  I have never been there but do have a cousin living there, so the map on the post card helped me to find his house.  Okay, maybe that is an exaggeration, but there is a log cabin on the map and, who knows, maybe that one really is his.  One never knows!  LOL I'm having fun looking forward to the next post card and will be disappointed when this month is over.  I love to travel, even if it's through postcards.

Ok - now THIS time it's not my fault!!  I HAVE been picking my mail up every single day this week at the post office and I have yet to find any packages in it, including today when I went there!  I've been patiently, well KINDA patiently, waiting for a box to arrive from Canada with some stuff and because I knew that it had been shipped a long time ago, I finally called the post office this afternoon and made them go physically check to see for sure that they didn't have it.  Well low & behold - they had TWO packages for me - one from Canada and one from "Miss Winnie" and they had forgotten to put a notice in my PO box!  They'd been sitting there since MONDAY!!!    

"Miss Winnie" you have made my day and then some today!  I opened the box and saw the basket laying on it's side and I was sooo excited!  I was instantly trying to figure out what room I was going to put it in and what I was going to put in it!  The thought never even occurred to me that there might be something IN it!  LOL  You can only imagine how excited I was when I took it out and saw a whole BASKETFUL of lotions, sprays, gels, oils and a candle all in my favorite Bath & Body Works fragrance - Moonlight Path!!  You're right - I HAVE had a very stressful month and after the "reveal", I'm going to clue you in on just how stressful it really has been.  "Miss Winnie" also sent me a lavender-colored card (to match the lavender colors of the bath stuff) that I think she cross-stitched herself!  It says:  "Friendship is a special gift", what a nice card and such a nice letter too!   Thank you from the bottom of my heart - you have NO idea how much I needed this today.  Thank you!

By the way, I know that you said that you were struggling with the BBQ theme, just in case you didn't see that I had posted to a thread about this, here's the link - just scroll down the page and you'll see my answers.  I'm actually pretty darn easy to please.  LOL  Heck, I would've been thrilled just getting an empty basket in my box today!!  LOL

What a nice surprise today!  I came home to a big package!  DH sat with me & smiled as I opened it.  We got GREEN stuff!  Teehee!  Some green cups to go with green forks, knives, & spoons, green in 2 different sizes of paper plates, a green kitchen towel, and even green on the box of napkins!  So much fun!  She even sent a package of Skin So Soft insect repellent towelettes to keep the bugs away at our BBQ!

One thing I quickly lost custody of dear sis, was the peanut butter pretzel bites!  And before dinner (again)!  Thank you so much for brightening up our day & picnic supplies!

  What another wonderful surprise!!!  Thank you so much!  Not one, but two thick envelopes!!  First one that I opened had The Best of the Best from Washington Cookbook.  Thank you so much.  I've already looked through it.  I was always either saying to myself "oh that looks good!  No that looks good!!  I'm going to make that first, no I'm going to make THAT first!"  I don't know what to make first!!  LOL!!  I love it!!

  The second envelope I opened had the Best of the Best from Hawaii Cookbook!  Thank you!!  I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.  Thank you for thinking of my Hawaiian themed vacation up north.   I thought the recipes that you sent were wonderful, now I'll have to check out the rest!  I can't tell you how much I appreciate this! 

  Then I happened to open the front door, and there is yet another package!!!  DH was alittle excited when he saw that it was from Hickory Farms!  LOL!!!  Thank you so much for the petitt fours.  I love it.  What a delicious indulgence!  I've only had 3 so far!!  I think I'm going to have to be careful with them.  Just because they're small...  I had 2 strawberry ones and a coffee flavored one.  Very good!!
