I have been very busy and tonight even more so.We had 10 tons of gravel delivered at 6 and have been moving it to where its new home is. It is looking fabulous out there and will add more pictures to the gardening thread tomorrow.

I hope you are well, so hard to believe this 6 months is almost over.

Hi there my Sweet Sister!  Oh how you made my day again!  It never fails!  I returned home from my California buisness trip late Sunday evening and there it was.....a card from you!  In it were Cinco DeMayo receipe cards and some YUMMY Marinade mix!   So looking forward to making steaks on the grill.............it is BBQ month(my favorite way to prepare a meal).  To answer your questions, yes I am very tired from traveling, enjoying it though!  California was FANTABULOUS!!!  It is some beautiful country out there!  Went to the GasLamp district that was way cool, went to La Jolla Beach-did not see any Hollywood stars there-we were hoping to but not so lucky!  ALso was able to go to the SanDiego Zoo-SO BIG!  So we had a little free time to do those fun things-traffic and getting around there is crazy-but all in all-had a great trip......now I think I am good until September!  My DD is doing very well thanks in her college semester!  My DS he is excited to be a senior in high school next year!  One more year he says..YEA!  Hubby is doing great as well thanks we are all very busy, my DD is in Germany right now touring Europe with her "Honors Choir" for school.  She has an angles voice and is there for 3 weeks.  My DS is getting ready for his soccer training to start-every day all summer weight training and soccer!  Also he has a job.  He will be busy!  DH and I are very busy working 10-12 hour days..........still waiting for the house to sell!  I also miss being able to post-because we are way out in the country our high speed is no longer working at all-so I cannot post from home so I write my thank yous from work....speaking of which got to get back at it!!!  Thanks so much again! ......    JJ

I received your cute card today .Thank you for the caring hugs and prayers.Also with the card my sister sent me a shopping bag that zipup and I can put it in my purse so I don't have to get a plastic one at the store ( GO Green ) I use to have one a long time ago and lost it so am very happy to have this one. Thank you so so much.We are having beautiful weather time to go shopping!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful card and the wonderful BBQ recipes.  I am going to make the BBQ Beef Sandwiches with the BBQ sauce Saturday and the Oven BBQ Chicken with the Cheesy BBQ Garlic Mashed Potatoes on Sunday.  YOU are my menu this weekend.  I am very excited!!

Thank you so much!!  Have fun putting the pool up and Enjoy!!  Oh, I love sitting on the porch in the evenings during the summer also.  It is so relaxing and I tend to catch up more this time of the year with neighbors.  Maybe I'll scoot on over, grab a big glass of Iced Tea and join you.

To Sunny....................I received your package 2 days ago.  I'm sorry that I couldn't post earlier.

I truly appreciate/love the book which you sent me.............TASTE OF HOME  Parties, Potlucks & Barbecues (368 Recipes for Casual Gatherings).  This is the First book which I own from Taste of Home.  It looks great and will definetily be trying some of the recipes.

Also, I love your "BBQ themed" computer paper.  I think I will be using the paper to do some invites............probably for Canada Day.

Everyone is doing well...............gearing up for another C-R-A-Z-Y and fast-paced sports season!!!!  Sabrina made it into the U12A girls' competition team.  (I told her I'm truly proud of her.........she's turning 11 on May 20th and she's already a whole year ahead in soccer!!!!!).  Stephen is going to be playing Competition Soccer this summer (he plays year round..........and he's one of the Top 5 players in his division).  He's also on the Football team.  The coach favors Stephen.............he knows his game, shows enthusiasm and is an all-purpose player (he's in the running for starting Quarterback or Slotback).  Sean, is going to be playing Soccer also.  He didn't make the Competition team............but it wasn't his fault (the League forgot to call certain boys for try-outs? and since the teams have been formed, they will use him as Reserve and place him for the Winter Season in Competition).

Sophie is doing great................she's a naturally happy child and her vocabulary is growing EVERY day.  She is such a mix between a Girly Girl and a Tomboy!  Just like big sister and Mommy! (LOL)

The bad news is that my car is KAPUT!!!!!!  I had to have it towed to a garage (it stalled on me and wouldn't start).  My timing belt got unaligned and it hit one of the Pistons.  So, the engine is finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Great!  Now, we're down to one car and hopefully, I will be able to get another one soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you're doing well and just think, in a couple of months, we'll be able to write/talk to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Secret Sister first I want to apologize to you, as I did receive the thinking of you card awhile ago and forgot to post. would you please forgive me I won't let it happen again I promise

Now on with it today I received a wonderful surprise from you. I received a package and in it were the most wonderful things you could imagine. In the box were the following items:

A package of silverware, package of cups, paperplates and napkins. Also a box of gourmet Jasmine tea bags. Never tried this but teas sounds really good can't wait to relax and try.There was a pair of serving tongs which will definitely come in handy, a package of French onion dip seasoning mix , a box of Tri color Rotini , a bottle of seasoned salt, a bottle of Lemon garlic sea salt, bottle of honey barbecue sauce, a bottle also of sweet relish. There also was a recipe for pasta salad which I will try for my next potluck or picnic outing. And last but not least a Family Cookbook which I browsed through and there are a lot of great recipes for me to try. And thank you for your letter. opps just notice a bottle of McCormich grill mates Barbecue. Thank you emensely Secret Sister you did a wonderful job of shopping for me. No I still have no idea who you are but can't wait to find out very soon. Hope you had a fantastic Mother's Day.

I certainly am looking forward to the mail everyday.  Because my Chocolate Sis is still taking me with her on a trip throughout America.  Today she/we traveled to Chinatown in New York.  She definitely took a lot of care in selecting this particular one as it showed a car driving down the street that brought back memories for her.  Now what are the chances of that?!  But, now I have a couple of more clues.  She drove a red car, went to college and apparently came from a small town.  Wow, that sounds like me too!!!  Maybe we're twins!  LOL  We do know that we're sisters.

The second postcard is from Richmond, Virginia.  Can't get a much more southern and traditional city than this.  Sis, did you notice that there was a red car sitting in front of the state capitol?  Give me your address and I'll send you a postcard from here.  I will be a challenge but I'll look for one with a red car in it.

 Easter Bunny, I got your card today. I didn't know it was Chicken Dance Day today. Thanks for letting me know. No I didn't dance today. I started have back pain mid-day. I wish I could quit work altogether.
I wonder if LC knows it's Chicken Dance Day?.....hummmm......

The weather has been nice these last few days and my flower (pots) are loving it.

I received a package today…..inside was a very pretty pink bag just packed full of Avon……all foot works, conditioning foot soak, moisture cream, foot file/scrubber, one step pedicure, socks, 8 hour overnight treatment and triple duty lotion. I should be set for sandal season!! Lol I am a bag nut and I have plans for this bag, thank you so much...I feel SO pampered!

Also………a spice rack w/6 spices…..I really like the size of these ~ they are tall and slender and spices I use all the time….now I can keep them handy ~ love them, again, thank you!

Next ~~ Tony Chachere’s “more spice” seasoning….we use tons of this so you already know I love it!!  A sample of Montreal Steak seasonings that we won’t cook a steak with out….thank you ~ thank you!

A small package of Milestone Colombian Supremo Ground coffee ~ this I’ll have to give to Mother (and she’ll love it) as neither husband nor I drink coffee (just one vice I don’t have) tons of others to take its place, sorry to say! *grin*

In this magnificent package was a pair of white gold earrings that are the perfect size and I prefer the white gold, perfect, sister hugs!

Sis was paying attention because I always talk about how much we love Tony Chachere’s products and sent me something I’ve never tried…Injectable butter and jalapeno marinade ~ DH is going to kiss you right on the face if he ever gets close to you…watch out! He’s been dying to try this and because it has NO sugar it’s on the top of his “do list”. Thank you from both of us.

Also in the package was the coolest wide grill brush…it’s so funny because we cooked out (I should say the men did) Mothers day afternoon and neither one of them could find the basting brush…and this is GREAT because it’s so wide, totally perfect, everything, thank you SO very much!   Betty Boop! You are such a dear sweet Sister. I got your card & your letter both today. Sorry to cause you any worry, I am ok, just a little frazzeled. I am finally starting to see the top of my desk at work and the incoming piles have started to slow down a bit. I am looking forward to another quiet relaxing weekend up at the cabin this weekend where I can de-stress and let my quickly greying hair down. LOL!

Oh!  SS, what a nice surprise!  Another package when I got home from a VERY trying day (oh yes, I do voice how I feel to the boss & certainly did today- thankfully it's a very relaxed, close, & understanding group). 

Of course DH (who obviously has learned to enjoy each mailing that comes) started snooping in as soon as I opened the package. 

He said "look!  She sent TWO bags of peanut butter pretzels this time....and a BIG bag of pretzels!"  The big bag of homestyle pretzels were opened right away (since dinner would be an hour away) & those really ARE yummy!  Thank you dear SS!
