 Good Afternoon Sisters,

I'm all alone DH and DS have gone for the day so I've been washing and I have the quest room ALL clean up .Not much to do right know so am going to get to one of the book my SS sent me and read for a hr..Thank you again for the books.

We are going to have DHA over for Mothers Day will get her after church going to make chicken cacciatore. My DH and DS are going to take me out on Monday for lunch and then chair shopping.

Saying prayers for everyone~I think we need it, don't we!  Laurie, will be waiting for an update about hubby's surgery!

Sandra, we got the stimulous check a few days ago...I guess we stimulated the gasoline business! YIKES, this morning it was 3.85 per gallon....then the grocery where all the prices have risen, also. Yep, some stimulous program

I guess I will stimulate the gas station this weekend~tonight I go to DGD concert at school, them tomorrow to the zoo with another DGD first grade class. Then to work Sat and Sun. I am the new kid on the block and since my job is concentrated on the one thing most given to the 'moms', I get to work those days. Today we were SO busy it was hard to believe the day was over! They had senior day and ladies day today and wow, were we busy!

LC, I am so glad you were safe from the tornado! A few years ago in the winter, there was a tornado a few miles south of us and when someone called in to report the tornado, no one believed them. Shortly there was tornado damage to a few homes and not one police responded nor a siren because again, no one believed them. Wouldn't you think SOMEONE would have checked it out? Almost an hour before anyone responded. BUT, then again it is the same police force that got a call about a car off the road in a field and noone responded until the next day...Sadly, there was someone dead in the car!  I am glad I don't live in that town! YIKES

  Good Evening, Sisters!!! 

  Sandra, we got our stimulous check this week too.  It was direct deposited in our account. Gas in our area went up 10 cents today so now we pay $3.69 a gallon.  One gas station kept the price at $3.59 for a short time as many people quickly decided to fill up the tank.  I hope the sun shines for your sons wedding and I hope all goes well for you!!!

  Laurie, keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.  Take care of yourself too. I know how hard that is to do, when so much happens at once.

  I made a Rhubarb Custard today.  The doctor told Ron, if he ate Rhubarb to eat it right after the nurse checked his blood for the coumadin.  The nurse took his blood this Am and she wasn't even quite out the door, when I started the rhubarb pie. LOL  It was so good!!!  Ron had to watch his Vitamin K intake, and Rhubarb seems to have vitamin K and other "acid stuff" in in that can make any meds a person take, not to be asborbed.....Like grapefruit  with Chorlestrol medicine.  Thank God, I only have one Rhubarb plant to deal with....LOL  I can freeze the pies or just freeze the rhubarb for later.... Anyway, the Rhubarb pie was enjoyed by all....LOL

we just found out today that if you used a program like Turbo Tax to file taxes and used your refund to pay for filing fees you will not get your stimulas payment in direct deposit. (also I think if you used places like H&R Block)................ we were so counting on gettig it tomorrow. was hoping to get it in time for mother's day. But now not until late June, wich in the mail that means Julyish.

 Dang, we need a new vaccume, our books (including my cook books) are sitting in boxes on the car port waiting for us to get new book shelves, DS's birthday is June 2nd............. ok I could go on....

we went to get Malcolm's new glasses today he looks cute. Did we ever get that Secret sister photo album up??

We are making Brats and potato salad for dinner (OK I am making it)........ 

I was hoping to hit a few stores today and still didn't get to go............. I'll never get to go to Michael's again will I.[:'(]

Hey Sisters!

The stimulous check arrived on Monday. Before direct deposit, we always had it delivered on a Monday and it was the same with all the direct deposits. Maybe it is the alphabet systems, but for as long as I can remember, good news always came on Monday~

My DGD was of course the CUTEST in the concert. Her singing is only fair but she is one heck of a dancer. I was really proud of her. Then would you believe they left her name off the program? I know it hurt her feelings but the kids were all in such a great mood, she didn't care much~at least tonight. She knew she did well so she was feeling good about herself. She is the one that had MRSA last early fall and almost died!

Amy, I hate to tell you this but the album just sort of got put on hold. This round started out kind of bumpy and then the mail and then my job...save that photo for next round...I PROMISE there will be one. I am so sorry. I always look forward to them too~

Okay~now I need to catch up on the recipe board and get ready for my group of 4 first graders tomorrow! It is kind of like trading one zoo for another for me! lol

WOOOOOHOOOOOO it's Friday! Morning......

I was just thinking( yea yea whatever :o) ) I filled out forms for my Mom/Dad stimulous check...........now for the question  would she have gotten a letter letting her know if she was or wasnt getting a check? I guess I should add they dont have to pay taxes because their income is so low.

Amy~ Did they say why no direct deposit if you used Turbo tax in the way you stated? I think someone dropped the ball on that one, that doesnt sound fair in anyway shape of form. I hope you get yours soon.

Well it looks like (knock on wood) a mostly sunny/cloudy day Saturday!!!!!! Rain will be coming in the evening and thats ok. The wedding is at 2 with reception to follow right after so I figure I will be home by 6.....7 the lastest. lalalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Well I got son off to work this morning, these 5 am wake up calls sometimes cause me to nap in the afternoon. I think I am going shopping today with my out law sis, she needs an outfit for tomorrow. It's been so long not counting the last month that I have been out in the stores looking and buying I need to be careful. I have been seeing clothes that I really like, which is not normal. LOL

I havent decided what I am doing for Mother's Day other than going to visit Mom, I saw a different looking hanger you set a basket filled with flowers in, in one of the store ads for this week, kind of  leaning towards buying one if they have any left by the time I get to the store. I know I will be making her some scones and son will be picking up some speciality breads from work for her. I doubt the kids will be coming over Sunday, with the oldest just married and David doing his church outing. So it will be a nice day to visit  Mom.

 Just checked my bank account and the IRS stimulus check is not there. That ticks me off as according to the IRS SS ending with our numbers should be today.  I knew that if you used an outside sorce to such as H&R it would be later but nowhere did I ever read that it would do the same using Turbo tax... so we are PUNISHED for doing something that is NOT wrong...It certainly is the most convenient way to get your taxes filed on time and into your account....  I am just irritated by this...oh... welll... such is life, I guess....

Pooh - I just typed a nice long message . . . and when I hit the post button, it all disappeared.  I have no time to re-type it now.

I'm thinking of all of you . . . I'll try to post again later.

Hey Sisters,

Just getitng ready to head out back and pace out the garden and start planting.

We are so lucky the huge snowstorm yesterday missed us!!!!! They got up to 2 feet of the white stuff yesterday and it is still snowing this morning in the south part of the province.

Anyone catch Survivor last night? Amazing what some people will fall for.
