    Good Evening Sisters!!!

I want to wish ALL the Sisters a nice Mother's Day!!! And of course, I hope my two Special Sisters enjoy an extra special day too!!!

We are going to my oldest DD for supper on Sunday evening.  My oldest GS is coming home from college Saturday and will be leaving for New Orleans and his Internship with Shell Oil on Wednesday.  Amazingly, everything has fallen into place in spirt of all the nail biting and stress.  What a wonderful experience for GS and he says he can hardly wait to get started working at Shell Oil and to see New Orleans.

Sandra, I will be thinking of you tomorrow and I sure hope the sun shine brightly!! Take lots of tissues..  When my kids got married, I cried like a big baby!! Our government check was deposited in our account this week.  Mom is waiting for hers, but I think hers will be mailed.  The rhubarb custard is delish......it is one of my favorite pies.  If I talk about the pie, I will want a slice, so I better zip my lip!! LOL

Redawna, my friend Hauke said something about the snowstorm yesterday.  It missed her, but it snowed where her DD lives in Canada.  It is supposed to be spring!!

Happy Mothers Day To ALL Of YOU!!!

    Hugs,

Marcia, that is good news about your grandson.  Will continue to pray for him.  Question, did you see my personal notation to you or the email I sent?

Secondly, I want to wish all the ladies a truly Happy Mother's Day.

They are opening a new bookstore here in town.  It will be a trade in store, sell coffee, and have gifts.  I am hoping to possibly work there parttime.  I am a voracious reader and do know my books.  They will also have possibly some rare books also.

Connie, have not seen you here for a bit.  Is everything okay in your neck of the woods.

Linda, are you enjoying your job at the greenhouse?

LC, sounds like the weather has been miserable in your neck of the woods.

Redawna, how is everything up in Canada?

Hugs to all the SS and special ones for my two.

    Evening all,

Just got back from the hardward/garden supply places. I need things!!!!

The back yard is coming along well, I got a lot accomplished!!!!!!!!! I riped out sod and weeds and put in fabric and bricks, this is going around the north and east sides of the garden to border off the trees and blueberry bushes. We are going to get gravel to fill it in on Sunday. I hope it does not rain so I can get all the rest of the brick and fabric in tomorrow. The garden rows are marked but not planted yet. I have to BBQ right away so I don't have time now.

I hope everyone had a good day!

I will have to read and catch up later.

    Good Morning Sisters!!

Marcia, good news about little Sterling coming home from the hospital!!! Now you can "really" spoil him properly!!!

Evie, did you check on the thread "Swap Spot" to see if your partner got your cookbook? With the swaps there are always a thread where you post when you ship and one when you receive......You partner should have posted her thank you to you and let you know she received your package.

Redawana, glad the snow storm missed you!! It missed Hauke too, but her DD area was hit hard.

We are off to Walmart today for Mom's Hair Do Day and to do some shopping!!!

I want to wish all the Sisters, and my two Special Sisters a Very Happy Mother's Day!!!

    Re: (¯`*•.¸May 4 - 10, 2008 Secret Sister Chat ¸.•*´¯)

Morning Ladies!  I've been behind from reading this week, so I had to catch up.  We used Turbo Tax, but we didn't file electronically.  DH and I compromise.  We mail our paperwork and have it direct deposited.  We got the best of both worlds.  We got ours rebate last Friday.

here's a funny about the taxes.  I was telling my mom about 2 weeks ago that we would be among the first to get our $$$ because my number is --13 and DH is in the --30 area.  Mom says well, you'll be a week or so later then because his number is lower.  I said, NO, they go by the first name on the taxes.  She said then they would go by DH.  I said, NO, I do the taxes, so I put MY name first.  She may put Dad's name first, but I do the taxes so I put MY name first.  She thought that was odd of me.  Gee, Mom.  Didn't you teach me to be independent and think for myself?????  Well, apparently putting me first worked out for us!  If DH does the taxes, he can put himself first.  If I'm doing them, I put me first!

DH and I tried sending flowers to our mothers for Mother's Day.  I sent to his and he sent to mine.  Well, when we got home from school, we got a call from 1800 flowers, saying they couldn't deliver in time to my mom and could we give an alternate address?  So we called it in.  They called back an hour later and said the florist refused to deliver to their home because it's in the country!  DH said, "Fine!  Cancel the order and you need to work with florists who are willing to deliver in the area!!!"  My Mom lives about 5 miles from the main highway.  Which means a total of about 6 miles from the school she's at!  So my MIL got her flowers and we are going to take flowers to mine tomorrow at church!

It's a busy week here.  Today is a Stamp Camp for me, then Prom tonight.  Tomorrow is Mother's Day!  We have many many activities at school this week.  Sports Banquet Monday,  Friday is Seniors last day.  Plus we have National Honor society induction that day followed by a reception, Senior Night with awards and induction of NHS officers, so they can serve at Graduation the next week!!!!  ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!   CALGON.....TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!

Well, better go for now.  Got to start getting ready for the day!  Have a good weekend.  Everyone stay safe.  (they have predicted "moderate" chance of stormy weather again today!)

    Good Morning-

Beautiful day today.  A little cool now, but it is suppose to be at least 60 today and 80 tomorrow.

I got up this morning and I have a beautiful gardenia blooming on my plant.  This is so exciting because they are not suppose to do good in this climate.  I have a lot more buds on it, so I am going to take it to the cabin with me on Monday.  Thanks again to spanishteacher.

DH had carpol tunnel surgery on Thurday.  Something he should have done a long time ago, but you know how these men are.  LOL

Marcia- Glad to hear your DGS is doing better.

I got my order from Maytag Cheese yesterday.  I ordered blue cheese and a 2 # block of swiss.  Yummy!

Yeh, the Jazz won last night, so that will make my day more exciting tomorrow when I go to the game with DS.  Can't wait.

I hope everyone has a very special Mother's Day tomorrow.

    Good morning!

Micki, I too am trying to scan over entries to somewhat catch-up on posts!

I AM ready for the Pampered Chef party though & will see you all in about an hour right?

Marcia I'm thrilled that Sterling is home!  Pictures please.

CookingKate, I agree with the Survivor thing!  How stupid to give up your own immunity!  Especially since they all just finished saying you never know what'll happen in the game & that you can't trust anyone.  And in front of Ozy, James, & ...the other guy who trusted & was voted out!  Sheesh!

    Have a great day! Deb

Going thru stuff in my kitchen. The little gal that waits on us at our favorite restaurant has separated from an abusive husband.  She is going to come up after work today and pick up some things that I have for her... Found a home for my dishes that I am just replacing, I guess!

Hmm,this is strange.  I wasn't doing anything on here and my cursor jumped to another place and there were three or four little beeps.... I hope there isn't something going on ... I do have mcaffee and a scan ran last night....

Well, gotta get running.  Be back later.

Marcia I am so happy to hear that Sterling got to come home... That is so sweet of you

to help that lady out. That is so sad to be in that kind of relationship.

Micki you are one busy person I know you are counting the days until school is out.

Yesterday was a Senior Skip Day. Some boys went to the lake to go swimming and

they got out of the designated area to swim and 2 boys drowned in the lake yesterday.

One was 18 and the other one was 15 it is so sad being Mother's Day weekend is

    even worse.

    CJ you are in my prayers and thoughts.. {{{{{{{{{{CJ}}}}}}}}}}}

Sandra I hope it doesn't rain today on your daughter's wedding.

Connie I sure hope everything is fine with you haven't seen you around this week.

Patty you have been one busy lady yourself. Time to sit down and take a break....

Hi to Ms Kurtie and my SS. I want to wish you both and all the Sisters a Happy Mother's

    Day!!!!!!!!!!

    Hugs,

    Barbara
