Waving good morning to everyone!   I am getting up a little later than usual and I want to make sure I have all my stuff ready to go to the gym before Jake is up and running for the day.      Be back later!

     Good Morning!!

Jen - ONE MORE DAY~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I'm so excited for you :-)

dusta - I have a couple 3/4 sleeve tops, but I prefer long or short. It's not that I don't like 3/4 sleeve, but I usually don't like top more LOL!!!  And most fashions do look alike - I can get somethng at Target for $20 that looks very similar to Wang's which will cost me $40.

Jolene - have a good gym day!  What's on your ipod? I put new stuff on mine wednesday before I hit the park, just grabbed a bunch of songs at random. Got some pretty cool things from the 80's, 90's, and some early 2000 like Nirvana's Lake of Fire; also have ACDC's Thunderstruck (is that the name of the song?!?). I was surprised that Lake of Fire was good to walk to, I thought it might be slow but it was actually good. So was New Radical's "you get what you give", another one I wasn't sure about but worked well.

I"m really tired this morning, didn't sleep all that well. Samantha was fussy & we had some wicked storms last night. I can tell I'm getting to the end - she's so heavy now, and I'm uncomfortable almost all the time. Crampy, achy, short of breath.... all the fun stuff LOL!!!!

I made the BBQ beef sandwiches Jolene posted. Very good. Wicked good :-)  DH wants a bit more spice, so I'll play with that a bit next time. But we loved the flavor and they were easy to make. I only used 1 lb. instead of 1-1/2 lbs. of meat so we had extra sauce. Which was great to dip tostidos in :-) Which we did LOL!!!  I used ground turkey instead of ground beef.

Hope everyone has a great day & a wonderful weekend

Back for a few, Jake's eating breakfast, I'm packed for the gym.   Munching some dry frosted mini wheats.   We are out of water, debating on taking Crystal Light to drink while on the treadmill.

Dusta,  I buy men's tshirts because I like the end of my short sleeve to reach my elbow.    But I'm with you on the 3/4 sleeves, especially if they are loose and can't be pushed up!

{{Dawn}}   You are in the homestretch    :)    Just rest, rest, rest when you can!     So glad you both enjoyed the sandwiches, and I'll tell you, the leftovers were great mixed with a can of the new Bush's Grillin Southern Pit BBQ beans and wrapped in a tortilla!

Hmm, on my Ipod...  I opened an mp3fiesta.com account, check it out if you haven't, most songs are .10 and whole albums for $1!      Some of the latest stuff I grabbed:

Atreyu: Lead Sails Paper Anchor  (Falling Down, becoming the Bull)

    Beastie Boys: Sabotage

Eddie Vedder: Into the Wild Soundtrack  (Great movie if you haven't seen it)

Lenny Kravitz: Greatest Hits (American Woman, Fly Away, Are you Gonna Go my Way, etc)

Limp Bizkit: Greatest Hitz (Nookie, Faith, Break Stuff)

Rob Zombie: Past, Present and Future (Thunder Kiss 65, Brick House)

Three Days Grace: One X  (Pain, Never Too Late)

    Korn: Greatest Hits Volume 1

    The Killers: Somebody Told Me

    Social Distortion: Ring of Fire

and  a bunch of random Foo Fighters songs

Will check out the songs you posted, thank you!

    :)

Good morning, and "Hi" to everyone.  It's cool here in NE today, the sun is trying to peek out, but now that Ol' Prince has his motorcycle, I get to hear the weather report every morning....to see if he can ride it in to work!  We're supposed to have rain by later on this afternoon.

Busy weekend ahead!  Tomorrow I am going to finish cleaning out the camper...while I'm thinking of Jen's day.

JEN!!! YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW!!!!

Then DH is hosting my 50th b'day party.  I managed to escape without having to make anything.  I plan to stay right out of the way!  He's making all the salads, etc. and doing all the cooking.  He has dinner out planned for Mother's day, and I will swing by my mother's sometime Sunday.  (His mother is in FL...and has nothing to do with us.)

Starting at 3:00 today, I am officially on vacation, although I checked out like, on Wednesday!  At least I have a couple of meetings today in order to keep my mind busy!

Lil' Prince is enjoying "Senior Skip Day". I hope the heck he stays out of trouble.  I mailed the Grad party invitations today, with severe warnings to him to make sure he gets his diploma!  LOL

Hopefully, while on vacation next week, I can try out some of the recipes you all have been posting.  Lately, I've been rather uninspired in the kitchen, which is a challenge when trying to eat healthfully.  Last night I seasoned some thinly sliced chicken breast cutlets with an Asian sea salt, and steamed some yellow cauliflower.  With a salad, that probably only came up to about 400 calories, which was what I was shooting for.  Lately I try to keep my Kcal between 1300-1600 per day.  Points, fat grams, carbs, etc. don't work for me, and I know how to eat "healthfully", so with that in mind, I focus on calories each day.  I haven't weighed myself this week, but my clothes appear looser, and I've been walking every day, so I think by tomorrow morning (weigh-in day), I'll see a pound or two less!

I'm off to do some "work".  Have a great day.  PammieJ.

God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind that I will never die.

Pammie - enjoy your vacation!  And Happy Birthday Party!!!  hope you enjoy the party, sounds like DH is doing a great job :-)

Jolene - I like the idea of mixing the meat with beans & doing a wrap. You get a serving of beans plus a filling sandwich! And much healthier than scoopingit with tortilla chips LOL!!!  Love the play list, I'll have to find a few of those.

I've never been good at counting calories, or fat grams or keeping track of any of that :-\  the only thing I can reasonably stick to is serving size, and I just hope that's enough LOL!!!

Good morning. It looked like it was going to rain this morning so I rode the bike earlier and now it is sunny. They said it was suppose to get up to 92 today.

We had shrimp last night, I cooked mine in skillet with seasoning and some of it I dropped in boiling water with Crab Boil. Liked the one in the skillet. Mel fried his, surprise!

Rest Dawn, sorry you didn't sleep well. That is something else I remember about being pregnant, I would wake up and the side I was on would be numb. Guess it was hard to turn over toward the end. Neither of my babies moved much, just sort of felt like butterflies. :)

    Have a great weekend.

Dusta - all this shrimp talk is making me hungry for them :-) I"ll have to figure out a recipe for next week's menu!   I get the numb side also, seems like if Samantha is comfortable I'm not. And vice versa. You're lucky they didn't move much, Samantha is *so* active when she's awake. I know that's a good thing, but sometimes she has a knack for pushing on something that isn't comfortable. I honestly think she figured out that when she kicks my hip bone, she gets what she wants LOL!!! It feels like when you hit your elbow, that funny bone thing. Most times I'll let her fuss, especially if I'm comfortable and it would be hard to adjust my position. But after a while she hits that hip bone & I have to move. I seriously think she has it figured out. how is that possible?!??!?  LOL!!!

    Hello everyone!

Dawn I heard that you all had a tornado in NC! Hope you are OK!! :) I think it was closer to Winston-Salem/Greensboro.....

Well I have my eggs done for the potato salad and the deviled eggs, have cookies made,  now I need to marinate the pork, cook my potatos for potatos salad and make a cake and pudding desert....Whew!! I also babysit this morning for two kids, so this is a crazy weekend!! LOL!

Hope you all have a 'Happy Mother's Day' and a good weekend!

jet - can I come to your feast? Everythign sounds so good :-)   The tornados were closer to greensboro & winston-salem, they think there was one or two that touched down just west of charlotte in a bedroom community called Belmont.  I never understand when the weather people say they can't confirm a tornado - people have pictures & with the sophisticated equipment the stations brag about all the time, it seems odd to me LOL!!! At our house we got a lot of rain & strong storms around 2am. But that was it for us.

I"m heading out - the office is pretty much empty so no reason for me to stay :-)  Hope everyone has a great weekend

The jets were out again today. Lulu and I went out to look, there are 6 of them and when they would sweep over it looked like they were so close to the house.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Happy Wedding Day to Jen and Dustin!    I wish you both much happiness.   Hope that you have a wonderful day and enjoy your trip!

    Good morning Dusta    :)

Jake was up and running early this morning, just getting a chance to sit down.   I stayed up way too late with Tim again last night, eventually all this burning the candle at both ends is going to bite me on the butt.

My sister is coming today, we'll be going to our last lunch out on Saturdays for a while, she's having surgery on Wednesday and will be immobile for 2 weeks and then probably in a cast for another 6 weeks after that.     She was carrying Jake downstairs to put him for a nap, missed the last step and broke a bone in her foot.   She waited to go to the ER, they missed the broken bone when she did, and finally 6 months later they are going to correct it.

Need to catch up on the posts, forgot to open a new window.    Will be back in a bit.

Jolene I remember when your sister fell, so sorry it took them this long to find a broken bone. Hope she has a quick recovery.

I have had a brownie recipe that is suppose to have 1/2 point, find it hard to believe. I know there is a place to go on ww sight to put in a recipe to find to points. Have done it before, but can't find it now. Do any of you know how to find it?

Dusta, I can run the recipe through MasterCook for you, but I believe that nlfpa sent me that recipe before and there was NO way I could get that sucker to come out to .5 a point.

Pammie, hope you have a wonderful Bday and vacation    :)   Way to go for DH for putting it all together for you    :)

Dawn, glad you're ok, yeah, I love that "we can't confirm" thing too!

    Jet, your meal sounds wonderful!
