Good morning Betty Boop & Sisters. What a few days it has been for my family and I ! Thursday night I arrived home around 9:30 pm after a nice night out with my BF, to find the alley way to my garage blocked at both ends. I parked out front and walked back through my yard to find the alley swarming with cops, SWAT and neighbors. Evidently a house that is on the corner of the alley is/was a Meth house and there were several explosions that night. Oh wonderful! The house was raided and lots of drug dealers, addicts, etc, were arrested. This excitement lasted about 2 hours or so I thought.
At 11:30 pm, I heard a loud crash out front with tires squealing away. I was watching tv anyway and ran outside thinking, "great, now someone hit my car". The street in front of my house is a very busy high traffic street. Well, no one hit my car but they totalled the van 2 houses up from mine. Thinking the excitement out back was over I raced around to the alley to park my car behind my garage finally. On the way to the alley, 2 police officers came running up from the alley with guns drawn and yelling. I stopped partly in the alley to watch and realized that the 'hit and run car' had tried to escape up a hill nearby only to get stuck in a ditch. The officers were running towards the car yelling "freeze, police!". They ripped the guy out of his car and had him on the ground in no time. Eveidently, he was very drunk also. As I continued towards my garage, I realized the excitment out back wasn't really over as the cops had been quietly staking out the Meth house all night and unmarked police cars still lined the alley. OH BOY! What a night!!!!
Friday afternoon, my oldest son was in a bad car accident. His car will probably be totalled and because of the age of the car, i'm sure he won't get anywhere near the $1800.00 he saved for so long to pay for it. A lady pulled out from a Meineke shop and crossed infront of my Son's car to get into the left lane. The very next minute she decided she wanted to cross back to the right lane and take a side street. It was all one swift movement and happened all within 20 feet of the garage. To draw it on paper looks like she came out and did a u-turn right into my Son. HE'S OK! A little shook up but upset because now he doesn't have a car. Her damage? Her passenger side running board was spilt open after it gouged my son's tire rim. She is from Texas no less, which means we need to get this resolved asasp before she decides to leave town.
SO > I now have about 20 more white hairs and have aged a few more years in just a few days. LOL! This week will be nuts as i have to get estimates and try to find alternative transportation for my Son. We also want to get dusk/dawn timers for our porch light so no one will have to walk up to the house in darkenss. I am also planning to call the bank and see how long I have to live in my house before I have enough equity to sell my house & move out of the city.
I hope and pray everyone has a safe and positive week ahead of them. Prayers for CJ and any other Sisters hit by tragedy this week. Hugs for everyone!! I know you could all use one and so could I. Will try to keep updates coming. Love, Chris
