Good morning.  How are you all?  Ended up spending a fair number of hours at the office.  Then home and finish up here.  Havae two early pts to do, one a timed lab then the office a short bit then home.  Chiro wants me to ice ice ice to see if it helps with the inflammation.  Saying probably arthritis, bursitis plus my piriformis muscle is inflamed and all together causing most of my problems.  So ice I am.  Get hip xray this week to make sure nothing going on there and then back to him Monday.  At least I slept a bit better.  Learning to sleep on my back.  Never been a back sleeper.  No gardening this week, thankfully have all done I need done.  :)

Margie, hope your sister gets the job.   Have a good day.

Cherie, exciting about first ultrasound.  Hope your day goes well

    Shelia, love all 3 houses.

Sherry, can't you sign a release not getting the chicken pox vaccine?  I signed one for Hep B as I'd had it but couldn't find the records.  That's all that they needed.  Hope you have a good day.

Hi to everyone else.  Hope you all have a good day.   Have to leave soon with fog and traffic so I can get to pt's house on time.  Don't want to hold him up too long before he can hang his medicine and he can't until I draw the labs.

I took some venison out of freezer for today, I'll put that in crockpot in a little while.

Margie - Sure wish your dream was true!  Wouldn't that be grand?!  Maybe it's a preminition.

{{{Kathleen}}} - well, that just wasn't nice of your MiL to say those things.  Sorry she has upset you.  What did hubby say about it?  Did you show him the email?   lots of hugs my friend.

Hi  Margie it sounds like  you will have a good day with your sister and eating lunch with James,  enjoy the day away from home.

Our CInco di Mayo  party was great...the clients as usual had a ball and we had all the usual stuff for them to enjoy , Kassie had many Mexican songs and they do a limbo dance under the pole and a pinata and things that shook and I can't pronounce the name.  good food, taco stuff and salad and spanish rice and brownies...they danced and laughed and it was so nice to see them having fun.  Kassie had to load the car with all the music stuff and sound board and then we had to load it all back in the car again...I miss my van for all this stuff...I think a guy a work is going to buy it...I will miss it but it has been idle for over a year.   I sure do love it and we had a lot of sweet memories of trips and loading Jer in his wheel chair up the ramp  to take him places and when I was doing it alone he would hold his hands on the door and I could not push him in the van and I thought I was doing something wrong and here he was kidding me by holding both sides of the door while I was huffing and puffing to get him up the darn ramp.  oh yes good sweet memories...

Well Prom is Friday and nerves are getting thin, dress had better be ready soon, I hate to be so worried but I know it will be beautiful and she will have a great time.    have a good day everyone.....Shirley

Good Morning Ladies. Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday. It's going to be another beautiful day today with temperatures in the high 70's. I'm having a good day so far, doing my usual morning routine. I'm planning on doing spring cleaning in the living room. I have to go grocery shopping later on too.

Margie, enjoy your day with your sister and having lunch with James too. What a nice idea.

Patti, Looks like we're having the same type of weather. Good luck with your thyroid ultrasound,.

Lisa, Hope you get to work outside today. I have to get outside this morning too, and water the plants. My husband is worried about the african daisies he planted., he hopes they're hearty enough to survive the cool nights we've been having. They're so pretty, I hope they survive too!

Copterwife, Good job on your A! You must be so happy. Meatball sandwiches sound so good. it's a nice and easy meal, but tastes delicious.

Thats it for now. I haven't eaten breakfast yet, so i'd like to do that before tackling the livingroom. HELLO to anyone I may have missed. Have a great day everyone!!

Re: June Cleaver Club Tuesday 5/6/08

Good morning ladies, it is going to be 71 degrees today, and a nice gardening day to boot. I didn't get on to post yesterday, as I was outdoors gardening till 1 PM. I was out there for around 3 hours, I dug up plants in front, that I didn't want, they had reseeded and I ended up with 3 tall Baby Aster plants (purple) and a Heather plant, that was making a mess in my garden, and another plant that was very nice, but didn't bloom.

I also planted a few annuals here and there in the front row and it looks very nice mixed in with the other plants. I put in purple petunias, big yellow marigolds, and a few red plants to brighten up the colors. I trimmed my rose bushes, got the dead from winter off of them, tied them to the trellis's, and went back out at night and worked another hour to tidy up the yard, and plant some pale yellow sunflowers, by the bird feeder, and put a little fence around them, so DH doesn't mow them down. I have a purple Clemetis in with the sunflowers, which twines up the bird pole, that ought to be beautiful.

Today I have a dentist appt. and I am going to go to my favorite greenhouse afterwards, and buy my seedlings, so I can hardened them off for a couple of weeks. While I am there, I am going to pick up some snapdragons of many colors, Lobelia, and some rock garden flowers in yellow and pink. For vegetables seedlings, I am going to pick up my Bell Peppers, my big Cherry Tomatoes, some Early Girl and Better Boy tomatoes, my Pickling Cucumbers, and some Beet seeds. That ought to keep me busy for awhile. I have my Sweet Potatoes ordered already from Johnny Seeds, they are coming from Tenn. so will have to wait another week for them.

Have to get some breakfast, made some nice WW Pumpkin bread and put in some raisins, and it was delicious, in the other loaf, I put in mini chocolate chips, and it was delicious also. My family got into both of the loaves, and I have half of the loaves left. I better get some for brreakfast, or it will disappear overnight. They always seem to know when I am baking, one of them is at the door, Lol.

So be good girls, get out in the sunshine and plant a few flowers, all I am planting right now is Pansies, Flower Bulbs, and Annuals that have been hardened off. Will try to chat later, Margie, I like  the Mother's Day recipes that you have going, have posted a few for you, ones I would like someone to make for me on Mother's Day, Lol.

    Belle

Re: June Cleaver Club Tuesday 5/6/08

Margie, hope your sister gets the job. Glad you get to get out of the house for awhile and that James is coming out for lunch while you are thrre.

Cherie, hope the ultrasound appointment goes ok.

Sheila, I liked the houses, loved the kitchen in the second one, the mountains in the third one, the building style in the first one.

Deb, have fun with the boys. Happy birthday to Jeremy.

Jill, Happy Nurse's Day :-). Sorry your back is giving you such fits. I just went ahead and got it since they were paying for it. THat way I have proof that I had it. I don't understand why if it is so critical they didn't make me get it last year when I started working there, but I don't know. Have not heard of signing release for that. It may be something about AZ, not sure. I know I had to reobtain a lot of shots when I was in nursing school because my mom had inadvertently thrown them away (my old records) and it had been too long since I was a kid and the state didn't have records of them either and the pediatrician was long since retired.

Patti, hope ultrasound goes well. Your temp is almost as high as ours (LOL). We are only going to 82 today.

((((Shirley))))). Jerry must have been such a hoot. Since they only died like 3 weeks apart and seem to have had the same crazy personality, I'm sure heaven is a much funnier place. Can you write down some of the great memories you have of the van in a journal or notebook or something. I wish I had started doing that when Gregg first died. I am going to try to write some of them down eventually. Some I don't think I will ever forget. Others it would be nice to have written down.

Jessica, way to go on the math course. Sending prayers for the appointment. I don't have a meatball sub recipe, but I'm sure there is a good one on the board somewhere.

Denise, your weather sounds great too. Enjoy!!!

Belle, your garden just sounds so beautiful :-)

I don't know if I will have hours today or not. If not, have plenty I can do and I guess will sign up for Saturday night. Have Bible study tonight also if they don't have hours. Have to go to registry place (only 1/2 mile away) and do some online mandatories and sign some things that say I passed them, which I'm sure I will. Have plenty of parish nursing stuff to do. Need to get gas before going to Bible study. Still have cards to send out to a couple people, charting on a couple people, and a lot of stuff to compile that I can start working on a bit at a time. Might run over to other house, check out the desk, get a new blade in the pastor's scraper that we borrowed to take up the tile with and take that to the Bible study and check on getting a couple of the old chairs while I am up there.

I woke up during middle of night when CPAP conked out a couple times. Thought it would require resetting again so got up to send an e-mail to the pastor, who is also the provider for the CPAP.

There were two different e-cards on there from people in the church who had send me happy nurses day cards. That was neat. One was the contractor. The other one is the locksmith who did all that work on the doors at the beginning of this mess and rekeyed the locks at the other house to match and his wife and little boy.

Sure will be glad when I am done with this Augmentin. It is making me sooo sleepy and kind of halfway sick. They told me to make sure I eat before taking it and I am doing that, but wow, is it strong. Guess its better than getting an abscess. Might move my hair appointment to another day. Thinking that a root canal first and a hair appointment later on Thursday might not be the best idea in case I am not feeling great from the root canal.

I went to the store the other day and they had different closeouts on coffee creamers that weren't selling too well. Got one I wasn't sure I would like. Black cherry streusel. It is very, very different, but I like it. Sort of like coffee and a cherry sweet roll in one, but without the calories of  a sweet roll. Sort of cherry with a mild cinnamon flavor as well. :-). I sort of suspect they are not going to have hours unless they get a late call. Usually they have called by now if they do.

I also am going to try to catch the lady I interviewed with at Banner the other day and see if she has heard back from any of the floors yet. Rehab has a full time day job up.

It is supposed to rain today, so not too sure I can get a swim in. No clue what is for dinner. Last night was not very healthy. Slapped together hot dogs and fried potatoes because had to rush out to get the chicken pox shot. Might do salisbury steak or something.and have some broccoli and salad with it.

Have a great day everybody. Hi to everybody I missed.

Good morning Margie and all the Junes, It is a beautiful day here in N.C.. John does not have PT today, so I will be his threapist for the day. His ankle is swelling so the threapist told him to wear the sticking at night and if that did not make it go down by Monday to call the surgeon. The doctor told him when they took the staples out , that he could take the stockings off. I hope everything is going tobe OK with him.

Margie have a good day with your sister and I hope she gets the job.

Patti, I don't hear much in the way of e-mails these days, is everything going good with you, Royce and the bOYS?

Jill sorry that you have not been well, I will keep you in my mthoughts and prayers.

I had fresh squash and brocolli  last night adn I though that I would put them together tonight and make a casserole. Does anyone have a recipe for this and do you think that would make a good tasting casserole?

Got to run, John wants to go vote. Talk later.

    Hi girls,

I only have a minute and another busy day ahead of me - actually busier than normal. and I have to go make lunches and breakfast.

thanks for your concern regarding situation with mil - she is a nut job!!  Yes, I have shown Ray all the nasty e-mails she sent me and he is ready just to end the relationship - you know how men are!!  Anyway, I don't know if you guys remember that photo of myself that I sent awhile back with me and 2 other women?  Welll the ultra skinny one that I am standing next to is my mil - she is only 18 years older than me (she is my step mil , Ray's mom died the year before we met)   Anyway, I e-mailed her this morning, since she won't answer  her phone when she sees my # on caller-id.  I told her that I didn't care to hear her rantings anymore and unless she could control herself (and her language!) not to bother contacting me or my family again.  I don't need that b.s in my life right now.  Will wait and see if she responds!

Well, I took way more time than I should have - looks like boys will be buying hot lunch today.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.  Thank you all for your friendship!!!

    Hugs,

    Kathleen

Jessica,You go girl on the A.I'm so very proud of you. Here is a meatball sandwich recipe that my family really likes.

    Meatball Sandwiches

    4 pounds lean ground beef
    2 eggs
1 package dry Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
1 package Saltine crackers, finely crushed
    1 jar spaghetti sauce

Combine all of the ingredients together in a large bowl and mix well. Add more cracker crumbs if the mixture is too wet and more eggs if mixture is too dry. Form mixture into meatballs slightly smaller than the size of a golf ball. Bake at 350-degrees until cooked through, or approximately 20 minutes. Pour off any excess grease. Place the meatballs in a crock pot or Dutch oven and cover with canned spaghetti sauce. Heat until sauce is hot. Serve meatballs on steak rolls and garnish with shredded mozzarella cheese.
