Two White Tree Nymph butterflies hold a branch. Global warming could pose a greater risk to tropical insects and other species sensitive to the slightest shifts in temperature to creatures living in the world's tundra, US scientists warned Monday.

Good Morning to all the C.S.'s FRIEND's::: Special PRAYERS for all who have any problems

    today (ANNE)  during the surgery.

Margaret, thanks so much for the cake recipe, DD in TX called this morning and wanted the

recipe,,of course, most of my recipes are still in storage... This cake recipe is one I have

used for many years and I thought I had it down to memory but you know how that goes.

If you do not want a crunchy top,  use butter instead of Crisco... Makes a big difference.

So easy to make and really delicious.

Still feeling the trip this past weekend,,, getting too ole for them.,,especially the steps we

had to go up and down. But it was well worth the pain to see DS's face ,,he did not know

who was coming for the grraduation. Once in a life time. LOL

Need to get busy doing something,++ started writing checks and got side tracked

laundry needs doing as well as some baking.

Today (May 7) is GS's birthday, the oldest one who lives across the street from me.

Wish I felt like baking him a cake.+++might end up with a cup cake.

    More later.

Good afternoon from Indiana, it's cloudy out there & only 69, kind of cool.

Just came home from going to the bank, had all the montly stuff to do, now to pay all the bills.......groan.  Will have to go back to yesterdays posts to see what is wrong with Anne, know she's having surgery, hope all is well with her.

Going into DD's to babysit with the kids, not looking forward to it, they always cry when their Mother leaves, guess they don't like Grandma.  Just got our bedroom cleaned & a load of jeans in the dryer.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hello Everyone, it's raining cats and dogs here today, although this siggie just has dogs.  Seriously, we have been having rain all day, and sometimes heavy, but so far not any thunderstorms.  If it starts lightening and thundering, I'll turn the computer off to be safe.

I need to get back to the soup, I am making, and will try to come back later.

Merle, Happy Birthday Greetings going out to your grandson.

And I'll close with a siggie that Anne made for me too.

Hugs and Prayers for all of you.  Glad Russell's surjury went well. Now, it'd be wonderful if we heard from Randi, Betty, or P-Patty, and find out how they are.

    Good afternoon Everyone –

I’ve been checking off and on all morning, GRACE, to see if you heard anything about ANNE.  I know you’ll let us know as soon as you find out anything.  (((ANNE)))

LOIS, thank you for posting the recipes again, and thank you, PEG, for volunteering to fill in for Lois.  J

Hi, NANCY B – glad you made it safe & sound and hope you like

     your new MD.

ZORA, you make plugging and unplugging computer wires sound so easy, but you're not convincing me!  LOL

We’re having a dreary week – haven’t seen the sunshine for a couple of days, now.  It’s OK, but I hope we see it on the weekend, when DD & family should be able to come out here.

(((LEISA)))  Are you still feeling crummy?  My DD & DSis both got it over this past weekend – pretty wicked bugs!

Big wishes, waves, & smiles for each of you   - Helen -

Hi, Helen. No news, but maybe the surgery hasn't happened yet. I'm hoping to hear from Lynne soon, because I've been checking my email every five minutes. That apart from the fact that if there is new email my computer lets me know about it - I don't need to check it.

Leisa, hope you're feeling better. That goes for everyone who is ill.

Helen, I sympathize with your dreary weather, and I do hope it clears up for the weekend so you can have a wonderful time with your family. I'm going to do my utmost to keep the snow up here so it doesn't inflict itself on anyone else, but I'm mighty tired of it.

It's been a long time since we heard from Randi. Hopefully she's just to busy, but even then she needs to rest and to visit occasionally.

Have a great afternoon and evening.

    Grace

    Hi, everyone.

Having a slow, droopy day and not much energy for a lot of activity.

I will be praying for ANNE and hoping all goes well with the surgery.

Russell is doing just fine, and CS prayers work wonders. PTL Doctor and hospital nurse called again to check on him.

Not too talkative today, guess I need one more day of recuperation. The early morning, late day took alot out of this old body.

Hi Everyone...Colleen Here.  My Mom, Sally, has been healing from a nasty fall she had while I was at a training 2 weeks ago in St. Louis.  She fell at 10 PM at night but did not want to disturb anyone so she tried to get off the floor for 3 hours!  Finally at 1 AM she called 911 and they sent the fire department.  She did not break anything, just badly bruised and scraped up.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers,  She was able to read the posts today and try to catch up but the pain meds make her very sleepy.  I will keep you posted and hopefully she herself will post soon.  Take care and please be safe Cool

Thank you, GRACE - I thought you'd be checking your email often.  When I'm eagerly waiting to hear from  someone, I turn my volume way up for the email signal.  Otherwise, I usually leave the volume off.

COLLEEN, thank you for letting us know about your mom...we were concerned about her!  Tell her we send our best wishes for getting over this latest owie!

Just got an email from Anne's daughter Lynne. Anne is fine and was talking with her kids and joking. She had a quadruple bypass, and in the morning they will get her up and sitting in a chair. They sure don’t pamper people in the hospitals these days. She says HI to all the Cookin’ Seniors.

I’m so relieved I feel like crying. I think I’m going to have a stiff drink now.

Sally, I’m so sorry to hear of your mishap. Wishing you a quick recovery, and a big thank you to Colleen for letting us know.

Me Again:  Prayers are being answered, Thanks for keeping us up to date on our sick

    C.S.'s

They have taken Lorraine off life support++++just pray this is good news.

I baked the pound cake for Nathan's birthday,  did not cut it but he is going to let me know

how it turned out.. It came out of the tube pan really beautiful but the inside is what I am

concerned about. Never had a sad streak in one but there is always a first time. Had a first

with this one too,  two of my eggs were frozen solid when I was making the  cake. and they

were still in their carton. Got a good laugh when I went to crack the eggs and they would

not cooperate with me, thought I had a baby chick. LOL

Getting late so SWEET DREAMS to ALL.

Helen-Still alive but just barely. Have a nasty cough coming up from the bottom of my toes. Tomorrow my rib cage should be so sore I can’t move. But the chills and soreness have gone. Thanks for asking.

So glad Russell’s surgery went well and hope he is better than new soon. Nancy Z remember to take care of you too and don’t let yourself get run down. Hugs to you both.

Still waiting to hear how Anne’s doing. Yipppeee I see that all went well.

Grace-Thanks for keeping us all updated. Is it still snowing?

Colleen-Thanks so much for the ”news” on your DM. I hope you told her not to be so cotton pickin stubborn. Just shaking my head at you Sally!!!!! Hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs to both of you and Miss Edna too!

Zora-I still have the roux recipe on the kitchen table waiting to be made. Hopefully soon I will feel up to doing it.

I see it is almost 9:00 and time for my bed. Seems this bug just poops me out.

A big howdy to everybody else and I will see you in the morning.
