5/7 Grannie Neighborhood

I am not a great yard or flower person. But, I do enjoy doing as much as I do. What needs help is my house. Too much stuff and I have to get rid of more, each day. Hopefully, DD#2 will want some of my antiques and treasures. Some are from her grandmothers and there is furniture and crystal things and old glass items.

Russell doesn't really bake. But, when he was at home as a young boy, his job was to make an Aunt Jenny's Quick cake, every Saturday. I have the recipe, so we make one every so often.

Sadly, I don't have many "treasures". Nothing except from my Mother and they aren't anything valuable, except to me. I do have some luncheon dishes that my mother brought back from England when we went over, but all but 3 of the cups got broken on the voyage.  They weren't valuable either.  And no one really who will care much about anything. I did tell one niece that I want her to look my stuff over someday and take what she would like. Actually , she isn't a niece, her Dad and DH are cousins and her mom was my very best friend. But she calls us Aunt and Uncle and is very dear to me. More so than our actual nieces.

Nancy, I've enjoyed chatting with you, but I just remembered! I washed 3 sweaters this afternoon and they are still in the washer. Two I can hang on the line to dry, but the other I lay on a drying rack and it takes forever to dry. So I'd better take care of them while I still remember!!
