    Re: 05/08/08 CS's Chat

    Hi, everyone.

Having a much better day, at least I stayed awake. Nice day for working in the yard.

PEG, if you do a search in Community for the soups, you may find some recipes.

PENNY, any day that's a no cooking day is a good one. Some days thinking of a menu is a big job. I get tired of some of the same old, same old.

GRACE, I don't know if I'm going to let you mention snow. LOL  Russell is feeling good, thanks for asking. Of course, I keep hoping you will be feeling good, soon, too. Too much hanging on too long.

RUTH, I'd check out a good lunch like that, too. Hope your aches have gone away.

CILLA, nice name for your group. More meaningful than just plain knitting, etc., etc.

HELEN, a big ole smile and wave back at you.

BETH, nice of you taking pics for your friend. Evidently it is a very nice house.

BEVERLY, how rude to let the goats roam. Don't they have to be fenced in?

Yes, LOIS, prayers are powerful and more so from friends.

MARGARET "E", you will probably find lots in common with all of us. Many arms of diversity, but lots of friendship and love.

    {{{PAULA}}}, wishing you better days.

ZORA, that was a passel of chicks to send out. And, I suppose they were all peeping at the same time. Never had a po' boy sandwich. Is it like a sub sandwich?

Glad to hear the news about ANNE.

Russell is doing really well. The brace gets to him, because it curbs some of his activity. He is not one to just sit and he is itching to get in the yard, or his workshop.

Hugs and prayers for all CS.

    Nancy Z.

Hi everyone, just have a few minutes, was going to post, then dh told me my printer /scanner was low on Black Ink, we just had office max fill it up , but I know we did not use the printer/scanner much. Peg, oh my, I would have told that dr. that fired you something , believe me,
I once had a dr. whose recpt, gave me troubles at the the front desk, & that was before I could speak up for myself. ok, but then in the x room he told me I should see someone, I told him, he & his office has already been reported to my & his insurance company, boy, did that change his tune, I love that. then he did have me for a short time, till I chose to move on.

We met a guy today , poor thing just 48 yrs, old, and had so many problems, and heart, intestional, men's stuff, ,but he attributes it his yrs, of drinking hard liquor, he did give us a few dr. names, but this gent had to be in bed at least 5 day, kidney problems too, think he got food poison.  See, like I said, there are ANGELS out there over our heads.

who ever said long marriages are easy? No One.

Nancy B are you back from FL, what is this about pogo son?

    got to run.

we got lucky no rain day, but gas prices are high/lower then High again, it a losing battle...

Indiana primary is over, and we missed it all, lots of tv too!

Oh tippy  you asked about my chop suey recipe, I make my beef stew meat in my pressure, can you use one, it's the only way I ever learned from my Mom, meat comes out so tender. only takes 15 min at 15#'s of pressure.

Oh i made the other day, a copy cat recipe for Wendy's chili, in my 8 qt pot, I tweeked it so much, Used Nothern beans besides, I think I'd have to remane it . * smilin, and I did not measure,  most of the seasoning, but I did not use tomatoe puree, used tomatoe bits,

    Hugs

So glad you had a better day, Nancy, and that Russell is doing so well. Also, sorry about mentioning the "S" word! Smile

Anne is also doing well, very sore, but they might let her go home on Sunday. Can't believe how quickly they throw people out of the hospital after such a major surgery.

Paula, I'm sorry. Don't know what I was thinking off - yes, it's Anne from KY. My brain hasn't been with me for a few days Big Smile. How are you feeling? Hope all is well with you.

TJ is going to Winnipeg tomorrow to buy himself a new vehicle, so it will be just the two dogs and me for the weekend. He needs new wheels 'cause he and Elizabeth are going to the Yukon, North West Territories, and possibly Alaska in August. They asked me to come, but I told them somebody had to stay and look after the dogs. But between you and me, I'm not going any further north than I am now! Besides five days in a car each way is not my idea of a good vacation.

I'm off to bed - it's darned cold here and I hate to pay for heating in May! Jeez.

    Goodnight, everyone.

    Grace
