Confused [*-)] Whatcha Cookin' for Friday, May 9TH?!?

    Howdy, Folks!

Since our Pretty Patty is taking a Well-Deserved Vacation, her Kitchen is vacant for the time being...so Whatcha Cookin' in *YOUR* Kitchen?!? Cool

I'm going to fry up some Bob Evan's Sausage and make some Corn Bread...in a Cast Iron Skillet.  How's that sound? Yes

Hope you're having a Happy Friday!

is that breakfast sausage or a smoked sausage???? cornbread in the skillet sounds great....all those crispy edges to enjoy....

husband cooks on fridays now too....yipeeeeeeeeee....I am getting to just hate cooking...lol and he wanted roast turkey breast....so he's making:

    oven roasted turkey breast

    mashed red skinned potatoes

    corn

I made the rolls several days ago and put them in the freezer....

    Hi Krissy!

Tonight we are firing up the grill and having hamburgers. I am making homemade hamburger buns. Chips and a pickle for DH. Yum!   They say it's supposed to rain today, we might have to grill those hamburgers under the porch.

    Hi Krissy.

The answer is nothing.  It's Friday and I'm going out.  Not sure where yet.

I'm still working on the dirty rice. I have filled a 12 quart stockpot.

Then I'll get the cookie dough started. I was going to go with the old stand by chocolate chip and sugar cookies but instead I decided on

Cappuccino Royals -  a coffee flavored cookie with milk chocolate chips

Raspberry Pinwheels - raspberry jam, chopped nuts and coconut

and I'm leaning toward Cashew Crisps and some kind of chocolate cookie I think. I have some phyllo dough in the freezer and an urge to make baklava but I doubt that's gonna happen lol.

Supper will most likely be Stouffer's Lasagna Italiano and garlic bread unless I get really frisky and decide to cook rofl!

Hi Shelley!  The Sausage I'm frying is Breakfast sausage.  You enjoy your Gobble, Gobble feast!

Hi Tammy!  Hoping the rain will hold off until the Burgers get grilled. Smile

I hope you enjoy your meal out, WC!

Footsie...I'm getting exhausted just *reading* about everything you've got cooking.  I bet your Kitchen smells heavenly this afternoon.

Hope y'all have a great rest of this day!

Hi Krissy, thanks for starting the thread.  Your dinner sounds yummy.

Today is my husband's CostCo day.  He'll be getting a big bag of broccoli floretts and since there are only the 2 of us, that means I'll need to blanch and freeze at least half of them.

So tonight, after our bicycle ride, I'll be making little steaks and big piles of broccoli.  Probably no carbs with dinner since we stay up later on Fridays and will probably have either nachos or a dessert item later in the evening.

Thanks for starting this, Krissy. Your dinner sounds good. In fact, everyone's does. Can't decide between tacos or burgers on the grill.

It's a beautiful day here in north central Texas but it is warming up. Supposed to get up to 86 today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.     MM (Joan)

    I haven't completely decided yet.

Either a shrimp stir fry or broiled fish.  Any preferences?

I am not sure what you call this. But I put a package of scalloped potatoes in a crock pot. added the  seasoned cream sause mix. Over that I put frozen peas and carrots (you could add any veggie) I then added onions and pats of butter. Seasoned with salt and peper to taste. Add 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of milk. Over all add a meat of choice. Today I am doing pork chops but ham or chicken works well. Set the crockpot on high for 4 hours OR low for eight hours....yummmmm smells so good I can not wait...OH for those who like them add mushrooms...Its a great dish you can experiment with and its easy

For supper I invited ourselves over to my parents house for steak and wine dinner.  I am bringing some marinated sirloin steak, and a potatoe casserole.  My mom is providing the wine and some sort of veggie or side dish whatever.  I'm hoping it will be warm enough to eat  outside, as that would be a first for this year, but I certainly am not counting on it, as the clouds are rolling in now.

It feels like a mouth in foot kinda day!

Hi Krissy, thanks for doing this while Patty is gone.  We'll miss her won't we?  It's chilly here, sun is out, but only 66º and I have on long sleeves. no windows open either.  DH is napping, he's in long sleeves too.  Just doesn't want to really warm up here.

Tonight, I have some steaks thawing, will fix some baked potatoes and some kind of veggie to go with it.  May make some pudding, of course, that could all change if DH decides he wants his favorite which is ice cream.  I always ask first!  That man could eat ice cream 3 times a day!  LOL......Gram  Smile

    Hi All!

I've got chipotle-black bean soup simmering in the crock-pot and I plan to make a pan of that Mrs. Neely's (Food network) broccoli cheddar corn bread. MMM

I'll top my bowl with sour cream and salsa and some hot sauce.
