    Canadian Corner 10/05/08

     Good Morning CC Friends

Brenda Martin I bet is one happy woman this morning being released from jail and and home with her mother. What a nice mothers day gift for her mom. What she wanted for dins was Pizza. Peanut butter was her choice when she arrived back in Canada.

Looks like its shaping up to be a nice day - only wish the same for Cookie.

I'm making muffins and some errands to run then off to get my hair done. After that I'm taking a senior shopping and stuff for Mothers Day. Since I've been in London this wonderful woman has been in my  and my families life, is 85 and like Ada a going concern.

Hope you all have a Wonderful Mothers Day and safe travels. I don't know what Zoey has up her sleeve for me but it better be pretty good. LMBO Katie and Marilyn hope you both do okay this weekend, you are both good mothers too.

Gas is a terrible price $126.9 here. Enough to make me want to buy a scooter .

Pat, Meesh, Laura, Dolores and all have a wonderful dinner tonight. I would love to be a little mouse in the corner. I know you will have a great time.

Wendy - you have not mentioned your fridge in the last couple of posts - does that mean they actually got things right now? LOL

    Everyone have a great day

    Good Morning Crea and friends,

Just hung my first load of laundry out and more to go out.  Going to be a nice sunny day, calling for rain tomorrow.

Crea, I bet that B. Martin is one happy camper to be a free woman again. Back in Canada and to spend time with her family. Has a lot of catching up to do,  Canadian news and news of her neighbourhood and friends.

Crea, that is nice that you have a dear friend and a friend of the family.

For all those who have lost their mothers, we can think of our wonderful moms and cherish all the memories we have of them.

Sask. girls have a great dinner tonight and enjoy your time together.

    Have a nice Saturday,

    YF

three cheers for beesmom! that is the way to sneak in here !!!Big Smile

g'morning crea and cc'ers to follow

DH and i got home last night around 8:30. the kids were at their house earlier , and i expected all the lights on here when we got home.  hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm house in darkness?

my DD called, very excited, said that they were going to spend the night at their house. (everything is there , frig is full...........just a few odds and bits left here.)  she said she and the baby would be here this morning.  OUCH

i am so very happy for them, but.............this will take some getting used to.

basically, my life has changed so much over the past month...........and now this. boy oh boy, life is full of adventure eh

the people that came to pick up the furniture for the needy, were so appreciative.  they will come back next week for another load.  the things donated, are NOT sold, but given to people that need it. that is the part i like the most. they have a huge warehouse, and do so much for the community.

anyway, time to get some coffee........my attitude today? first day of a new chapter......

    have a great day everyone

It stands to reason that Beesmom would be first today. She will probably be up to her hips in alligators on the day before Mother's Day.

Speaking of....DD sent me flowers that I got yesterday. White tulips in a really sweet Delft-type pitcher. She knows that I'll never be one of those people who "has everything" because getting flowers is my very favorite thing.

Katie...you could always take in boarders:) That should fill up the house pretty quickly.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I want to have clotheslines so that I can hang laundry outdoors.

Ms. Pickle, watch your snail mail!

Katie;  I hope your new 'chapter'  will be a long and happy one. It isn't easy to make quick changes when you are older.....but you sound like you have a strong will and will adapt. Good for you !

I'm looking forward to our supper tonight with the 'prairie' posters and their families. Meesh has done a great job organizing everything.  I'm anxious to meet Cameron....at last. Dolores' GKs and who knows?

Crea;  Your 'position' as our PM may require your presence at one of our prairie gatherings some day in the future.  smile That should make headlines on the CC eh?

Beesmom,  wear your crown well today because tomorrow  will be another day.  The race is ongoing,  isn't it?  There are so many wanting to get the crown.  As for me,  I just can't get up early enough for it.

Everyone....have a good day today and a "good weather" week-end.

    Laura

    Coffee Good Morning ALL!!!!

I hope you all receive the appreciation and attention and spoiling that you all deserve this Mothers Day weekend! And yes, fondly remember yourown mothers, or attention them, if possible.

Such GOOD news about Brenda Martin, and weird news about the train that they had to hold in Folyet. Can you imagine, all 3 medical problems showing up at once? If I were the local medical people, I'd be a lot concerned, too! But isn't it nice to know that they were all actually attended to?

I've got muffins smelling wonderful, right now, will be making a coffee when they have cooled a few mins, and have a late breakfast.  A gorgeous day here...still 13C, and not sunny, and not much warmer the rest of the day. I'll need to make and pack myself something for supper and I'm drawing a blank right now. I usually have some fruit around that I can take, but I forgot to pick some up when I was out. I'll figure something out. It's such a nice day, I think I'll walk...it'll take me a little over an hour, I suspect, but what a good way to get in some exercise!

You ladies will have a lovely time together, I'm sure! Crea, it's so nice to have such a friend, and Ada, aren't you the luckiest lady in the world, to have such caring people around you? It must be becuase you are such a caring person!

HUGS for YF, and Yooper, and Katie, and Crea and Ada, and Meesh, and Laura, and Beesmom, and everyone who follows! I'm off to do battle with Ritmos Latinos and Leonard Bernstein. Have a good day, all!!

    Good morning Crea & all,

I could of sworn I posted here but then again??????? LOL I think I do a lot of things when I really haven't.

Katie we have a Mission here that gives instead of selling too. I give them furniture & household items but they don't take clothes so I give them to Goodwill to sell. I was talking to DS to see what he wanted to keep before I give it away. She had a sofa couch that isn't the greatest but the bed part sleeps so good. It was pretty expensive when she bought it. We kept a crocheted cover over it to make it look nicer. That will be so heavy to get out of the house.

Not much going on today, got all the cleaning done yesterday so here I set. We'll get the boys today sometime so I've got hamburger meat thawing to make them some tacos.

Hope everyone has a nice Mother's Day. Nothing planned here, just let it slip on by, I guess.

A very quick hello, DH went to the store to buy hashbrowns and eggs so we can have Bacon N' Eggers with hashbrowns.  Cloudy day, but not raining.

YF, the pictures I showed yesterday, the water picture was DD#2, she has hair that doesn't even touch her shoulder, the second set of pictures was of DD#1, but the second one was taken in her pajamas, maybe that threw you off?

Gonna have the two mothers over for BBQ tomorow.  It isn't my day, it is the day for our mothers.  One day, when my kids are old enough, I will get my day.  I do know that DD#1 made somthing for me in school, will find out tomorow I guess.  I did tell DH that if I am doing supper for the mom's then Sat he takes me out for supper, Sunday is crazy at the restraunts.  That sounds fair, doesn't it?

Okay, off I go, get that bacon frying!
