Margie, running late this morning. Read post but don't have time to say much. Have to leave for work. Have to talk to Banner on Monday if I can. They are offering me the job, just have to schedule the physical, etc so I can get orientation scheduled.

Hope the storm misses you. You have had a lot on your plate this year Margie. I'm always well prepared for Christmas and last year I really wasn't all that prepared except the stuff I made. This year will be even worse I bet because I'm working more hours and the budget is tighter with the price of gas and everything

I'll be back on later. Hopefully I either won't get overtime or else registry won't have hours for tonight. That will be pretty wicked if I don't get off until 3:30, home at 4 and they call at 5. I would prefer to work overtime at post office and skip registry, even if that means I have to work a 3-11 shift tomorrow, which would not be fun either. I'm sort of hoping they don't have hours for either shift. I wouldn't have signed up for either shift if I had known we were going to get more overtime this week. I had a bad sinus headache last night and had to put a bunch of my blue menthol stuff on my neck and take a pain pill. Might be partly my jaw from the root canal, but when my sinuses are messed up, my neck always pops a lot and gets really sore. I must sleep oddly when my sinuses hurt or just tense up from the pain or something

    Have a good day everybody.

    June friends!!

Chilly, but finally seeing some sunshine this AM; supposed to get into the upper 60's today, then it all goes downhill. Supposed to have rain tonight and t'storms tomorrow, and only get into the mid 50's.
Don is working & Shelly is at her dad's, so it's just Danielle and I this AM. Danielle has a GS meeting later, so I will run some errands while she's there, then plan on practicing ball with her & working outside after we get back home.
This evening we are going to my aunt & uncle's for supper, celebrating family birthday's and visiting with them before they leave on a big vacation next weekend. They are both retired now, are heading first to California to visit some relatives she has there, then taking a Hawaiian cruise, then traveling through some Western states before heading back home, and will be gone almost a month!! I'm so happy for them, they have worked long & hard to be able to take a trip like this, and I hope they have a great time!!
Tomorrow we are going out for brunch, and I may make supper for my mom; not sure what she has planned yet.

Margie, my goodness you've been busy already this morning!! Glad you enjoyed your evening! I have also seen pictures & video from that storm, and I am so thankful you are all ok; prayers going out to all those who were affected by the storm.

Need to get moving, I will be back later! Hope everyone has a great day!!

    hugs, Lisa

    Happy Saturday!

    Good Morning June Friends!

The sun is out, but it's chilly, only 39º. Suppose to hit 60º later, but then tonight it goes downhill here also.  Rain and chilly tonight and tomorrow.  That will put a damper on any cookouts that were planned.  We're not really doing anything.  Not sure what yet.  Will go see Mom sometime.

Today I am headed into our little town that we live right by, it is city wide rummage sale day today.  The local ladies garden club are selling perennials so I want to check them out for sure.

Not sure what else I'll do today.  Royce plans on tilling the garden.  I won't really do anything with it yet.  Possibly rake a spot, not sure, depends on when he gets it done, if it's too late, I doubt I'll have any ambition left.  Hopefully next week we'll have some nice weather so I can get busy planting.

Good Morning Ladies. Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday. Not too much going on yet. DH and I both ran on the treadmill, and had some coffee. In a little while I'll make breakfast. I also have laundry going in ther washer and will change our bed sheets as well. The weather turned out better than expected. it's not raining, and the sun is trying to pop out. Hopefully I'll get the laundry on the and it will dry. Later this afternoon dh and I are planning on going to a car cruise, as long as it doesn't start to rain again. Today is the postal services food drive, so i put a bag of groceries on the porch for the mail man to pick up.

Marge, sounds like your going to have a busy day enjoy it.

Lisa, What a nice idea celebrating family birthdays together. How nice for your aunt and uncle going to hawaii on vacation. it's so nice when couiples retire, and they actually get to enjoy themselves.

Patti, Have fun goiing into town today. Hope you get to do your planting soon.

Thats it for now. HELLO to anyone who comes on after I post. Have a great Saturday everyone.

    Denise

    Good Morning........

I'm going to pop in quickly this AM again.  Slept in this morning and just got breakfast over a few minutes ago and got the dishes washed.  I'm getting ready to tidy up some as well.

The sun is shining nicely out this morning but it's alittle cool - Temp to be around 70* today.

Yesterday Dh and I went to a greenhouse and got our mom's a flower for Mother's Day. I also got some wave petunias for in my hanging baskets on the porch and a few other petinuas for in my larger pot on the porch then a African Daisy to put out on the deck in a pot. I also got a tomato plant (Better Boy)  I got them all planted after we got home.  We will go and visit with MIL & FIL later today and take MIL her flower. Tomorrow I'll take my mom's flower.

DH and I are going to get the rest of the mowing done today as well........

Last night we had some rain and thunderstorms to pass through the area.  I also talked with a good friend of mine on the phone for a good while -- We hadn't talked for a few months so it was nice to talk with her again.

Margie~ Thank you for sharing the pics -- Your dolls and duck are cute.

    *Waving* to everyone~~ Have a great day.......Deb

Good morning to all of my June friends!  I want to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day.  I work 7-? tomorrow, so probably won't get on here.  Just another work day for me.

What are the plans for tomorrow?  Anyone doing anything special?

Margie, the dolls and duck are cute, I had to copy them and blow them up to see them.  My eyesight is getting so bad!

Not much going on here.  I've got a couple loads of laundry done and cleaned out the ice chest we're taking with us on vacation.  Andy took it on a picnic and didn't clean it out before putting it away.  I made him put hot water and bleach in it.  Came out looking like new.  Thank goodness, I didn't want to buy a new one!   I work 10-10 today.  I think I'll go out to lunch with my friend George.  Probably Italian.  We don't have very many places to eat out here.  I've got a pot of spaghetti made for the kids dinner.

Well, go to go and hit the showers.  Love to you all.

Hi   well we had a lovely day yesterday, cool but no rain and the kids looked beautiful, they took pics at a lovely place with a bridge and water behind them...Kassie looked so pretty as did the other gals.  My DB and Karen came out with Evan and he had a tux that Karen made him and she said he was ready just in case one of the boys got sick...it was so cute   only 19 months old and a charmer.  After they got on their way we came back and just sat around the fire pit until we had the energy to cook something...I made the best thing..it was from the Food network show At home with the Neeleys and it was the brocolli cheese cornbread...it was wonderful, I can see it as a meal...The kids got home after 11:00 and changed and went out back for their fun time.   all were on the floor sleeping by 3:00 a.m. and they are just now getting up, one of the boys is helping Don out back putting the finishing to the patio.  It was just a beautiful time and today they are going to the Indians game at 7:00 tonight, they are going in the company Winibago and it is Grady Sizemore blanket givaway day.....they will sure be using those tonight as it is going to be cool at the game.   Some of the kids that did not go to the Prom are going to the game.   so many kids families just could afford it this year...Some of the dresses that some of the girls had were over 300.00   yikes....plus the rental of the tux.  very expensive.   at least they will enjoy the game today....well better get going, I made muffins and Kelly is making eggs.  take care   shirley

    Hi ladies,

    Happy Saturday to you all!!

I slept in a little late today.  I am stil in my nightgown and robe!!  Last night we rented "The Bee Movie" on pay per view and I fell asleep watching it!  Everyone said I was snoring, but I don't believe them!!  LOL

I have some houswork to get done today.  I have a few chores for the kids to get done too.  Tommy has a baseball game at 1:30 this afternoon with a team pizza party afterwards.  Then Donnie has a game at 5:00 this evening.  Not sure what our plans are for tomorrow.  As far as I know we have none.    Tommy and Jason brought home some really cute Mother's Day presents from school yesterday.  So darn sweet, it almost makes me cry!!

Well, I better go have some breakfast and get my day started.  Have a wonderful day everyone!!

    Good Morning June friends!

I made Cinnamon Swirl Biscuits for a treat for breakfast, yummy with coffee!!  One DD is away at a sleepover, and the other one is still in bed, she's not feeling too good, coughing a lot.
This afternoon we're invited to a bridal shower for DH's nephew's GF. Still don't have a gift, they've been living together for awhile, and don't need anything. What do you buy?? I was thinking about getting a few containers of flowers for their yard, this is their first summer in the house.
Not much planned for the rest of the day. Need to tidy the house a bit more, already did the bathrooms. I want the house to be clean so I can sit around like a queen tomorrow and enjoy the day!! LOL
    Have a good one!!

    Hi again,

I am moving slow this morning, but enjoying not having to rush to be anywhere.  The sun finally came out, but it is not too warm, so that is nice.

I am going to head to Lowes this afternoon.  I saw a rose there the other day called "Grandmas Blessing" and I was going to get it for my mom for Mother's day, but put it back at the last minute.  Well the more I thought I about it, I wished I bought it, so I am going back today in hopes that it is still there.

Ray had to go into work this morning and is bringing back lunch for everyone.  There is a teriyaki bowl place by his office that is to die for!!  They make the best sticky rice, so he is bringing that back for us.  Can't wait.  I like the teriyaki beef with extra green onion on top - yummy!!!!  (can you tell I am hungry?  LOL)

Hope you are all having a nice Saturday afternoon.

Re: June Cleaver Club Saturday 5/10/08

Well, we almost got overtime again. Registry called and said they found me a shift for 3-11 tomorrow so I told them not to put me down anywhere for tonight as it was to be either tonight or tomorrow but not both. That will make Monday morning very rough and I won't be on much tomorrow, but it saves me from taking a nap tonight so I can do a few things around here and get a swim in and get some laundry done.. Happy Mothers Day to all of you in case I don't get to say it tomorrow.

Margie, the dolls and duck are really nice.

What I give everybody is a copy of that cookbook that I made that everybody loves. Sometimes I will get a gift card for a restaurant if I know they don't get to go out much and if I know which one they like. those are always good. The last two weddings  i have been to have been two of my goddaughters and they both registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond, so I got something there.

Cherie, have a nice vacation. That cooler story reminded me of me. I thought I had cleaned out the one from when we went to Sea World two years ago and I found it with cans of soda still in it and some very stale water. Couldn't believe I did that. Gross. Glad there wasn't food in it.

Patti, hope you are able to plant garden next week. All town rummage sale sounds really neat.

    LIsa, great pics of Chelle.

Kathleen, neat idea for a mothers day present.

Have already forgotten what else I was going to say, so will get back on here later probably.

Going to make crisy potato flake pork chops for dinner and probably broccoli and salad.

    Sherry.
