Happy Mothers Day everyone, its been quite the weekend.  DD graduated from college, (summa cume laude) and then after the guests left and the parties were over we moved her out of her apt, back home.  We did have the cleanest apt in the dorm complex, so she will get all her deposit back.  I don't have a living room until we decide where things are going and if she is here for two months or three years (lots of difference there!!!)  Haven't touched a hook in a while, but may need to just for the r&r.

    Good Morning Yarn Crafter Friends!!!

Hope you all enjoyed Mother's Day............DD brought me some nice flowers for the garden & a 3 CD set of Hymns  "Amazing Grace" in a beautiful Thomas Kincaid tin.  :O)

I finished the covers for the porch furniture; now will do a few throw pillows.........All I did with yarn was untangle a big bunch that came out of the center of the skein............I hate when that happens!   ughhhhhhhhhh

Congrats to your DD Benchsitter..............I'm off to the thrift store for abit this morning; then ????   Cloudy here but no rain!  Have a good one!!

Hi everyone A day late but hope everyone had a great mothers day.

Congrats to benchsitters DD for graduating and having a clean dorm room.

I didn't get much done over the weekend. Friday night got potatoes and green beans planted. Then Saturday it rained all day. Went to graduation open house. Got groceries. What an expense thing to do. Food prices are terrible at least here anyway.  Gas is terrible besides. $3.72 a gallon. Enough on the soap box.

I didn't get any crocheting done. Looked for some yarn in my stash. Finished cleaning out my stash closet and looked through some patterns.

Marcia I am so glad Sterling got to come home. Hopefully you will post a picture of the little guy.

Betty have a good few days off. We will miss hearing from you.

I am like Marcia my kids are all grown but I do enjoy hearing about the homeschooling so please continue to chat and converse about it. It is interesting to hear about.

Kathy wish you were closer I need some patio furniture covers but am completely dumb when it comes to sewing. Sounds like you rated well this Mothers Day.

Still working on the computer issue for my son in law. I finally told him in an email yesterday to just send it home. I have talked with microsoft once, gateway three times and the company where we bought it several times. They all pass it to someone else. Very frustrating.

Well work is calling this monday morning so better get to it. Have a great day all. Jeanette

    Good Morning Yarn Crafters!

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I had a great day yesterday. Didn't get any knitting or crocheting done, but made some wonderful memories with my family. I posted a picture of the kids on my blog, so if you want to see them... Lindsay is so fair skinned, and was wearing such light colors that it was difficult to get a real good one of her, but all things considered it turned out pretty good. The really cool thing is, I now know how to post pictures on my blog, so I'll be able to get pictures of the kids in their sweaters soon, and post them there as well ;-)

I did get some knitting done on my top on Saturday. Almost finished with the back!

Gotta run. Time for the kids' spelling pretest. Will try to check in again later.

    Hi Everyone

Marcia I am so glad Sterling got home and you got to see him. Don't you just love to hold them. They are very tiny at 6lbs. You forget how tiny they are and can be.

Kathie I loved the picture of your DGD. She looks like a sweetie. The cake looks pretty good too.

I love seeing pictures of everyone and their familes. Went on Connie's blog and saw cute pictures of her kids. Loved the aprons.

I was so busy here at work yesterday. Meeting in another town to west in the morning then had to go west to another town in afternoon to meet with city attorney and then at night had to be at a rural fire meeting for which I am clerk so didn't get much done in between.

It has been so chilly here and rainy but we are suppose to have three sunny days in a row or so they say today anyway. That has a way of changing by the minute it seems. Farmers are all testy because they can't get their corn planted and getting late to do it.

I have not gotten to crochet for days. I am feeling withdrawl I thinkStick out tongue

I have Connie's patterns all together and thought I had an envelope to mail them in but too many and they wouldnt' fit so have to go to post office and get something else.  I also remember I need to look for a missing needle. I think I sent one of one color and one of another or something. Connie can you refresh my memory on that one.

Well better get to work for today. Everyone have a great day Jeanette

    Good Morning Yarn Crafters!

Kathy, your Granddaughter is beautiful, as is the cheesecake. I love cheesecake, but I seem to be the only one in my family that feels that way, so it's something I don't get to treat myself to very often. I suppose that might be a good thing...LOL

Jeanette, I just about have your package ready as well. Just need to find something to pack it in. The "missing" needle is actually a plastic one, that I expect managed to find it's way into the package by mistake. I was planning to send it back to you, so your set of plastic needles would be complete   should you decide to take it up again ;-) It's a size 6 pale blue. Let me know so I can hopefully get your package sent off   later today, or tomorrow.. Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm glad you enjoyed the picture. Nathan was mortified to learn I had posted it online. But he was smiling about it too. LOL

I actually managed to get some knitting done the last couple days! I finished the back portion of my top, so nothing left now but the sleeves, the "collar" and to sew it all up. Got started on the first sleeve yesterday. Got the ribbing done, and the increase row, then 2 rows after that. I knew it wasn't right. The pattern wasn't lining up. I muttered about the pattern neeeding amending once again, then reread what I had read over probably 6 times before knitting it and discovered it was my mistake. I had increased by 7, when I should've increased by 9. Those 2 extra stitches would make the pattern line up correctly. Fortunately, my mistake was early enough in the game that I wasn't too very distressed about frogging it all and starting over again. I now have the ribbing and the correct # of increases done. Hoping to find time to finish the sleeve today, but I do have some gardening to do so we'll see.

    Gotta run! Happy Hump day!

Just had to tell Marcia that dress in pink for new granddaughter is just the cutest.

Connie now I remember yes I do have the other blue needle. Somedays I think I am loosing my mind. I would like it back as I hope someday to learn to knit as well as you.

I agree with Marcia that cheesecake lookes absolutely scrumptious.

well back to work.  Bye for now Jeanette
