REC...New twist on Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

I didn't want the soft cake-y cookies that the entire package of vanilla pudding makes.  So I only added 3 TBS.  The cookies are lightly crisp but very chewy.  I made them early today and just ate one and they are still soft and chewy.

    Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

    1 cup butter, softened

    1 cup brown sugar

    1/4 cup sugar

3 TBS instant vanilla pudding mix

    2 eggs

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    1 cup whole wheat flour

    1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon baking soda

2 cups chocolate chips ( I use the dark chips )

    1 cup  walnuts, chopped

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar, until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in pudding mix and vanilla. Combine flours and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts (dough will be stiff).
Drop by rounded TBS 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield: 4 1/2 dozen.

I love that you used some whole wheat and that they aren't real sweet. I'm copying your recipe and will make it this week. We love our chocolate chip cookies chewy.
