Good morning all. Happy belated Mother's Day. I hope all had a wonderful day.

Well, here's my weekend in a nutshell. Friday I was totally useless!!! Go figure LOL. I slept until 5pm, was up until 7 then slept until 0830 Sat morning!!! Uff da. Taffy and I took a load of stuff to the new house then spent the day cleaning. At 3:30pm we back, I cleaned church then went to DB's for the party. I enjoyed myself but was I tired!!! I left about 10pm and crashed about 10:30pm. I got up yesterday morning around 0700 with a big day planned and out of the blue I got the suprise of the year - NSDD called around 0730 from where she had babysat and asked if I wanted to go for breakfast - her treat!!!!!!! I showered, went picked her up and we had brunch at a nice diner. I was shocked. Then I took her home, went home myself to do a bit of laundry and fell asleep for a couple hours. Uff da. I decided that it was pointless to fight it so Taffy and I spent a very lazy day watching 7th Heaven DVD's.  Yup, felt guilty only for about 5 seconds and then thought "I deserve it".

The house is coming. I've decided I'm being way too picky and need to get moving. I can do a lot of it after I get my things moved in. Then Taffy and I will be here and it'll be easier. Once that's done, I can clear out the other house.

Well, it's order night so better get crackin. Have a great day everyone!!!!

Good Morning Ladies - THe sun is shinning!  O, Happy Day!  But, rain in the forcast for the next 2 days. . . Will we ever get more then 1 nice day at a time?

Had a nice dinner with the kids last night - They bestowed me with gifts besides - - a couple of the koozies they got to give out at the wedding - a picture frame, and then they told me I could chose one of the engagement pictures to put in it, a sign to add to my wine decore, that said, "I cook with wine, sometimes I even put it in the food" and the large Willow ANgle of Mother and Son.. GF said he picked that out by himself.

I'm running out of time - gotta run for now.

    Good morning.

I am glad everyone had a great Mother's Day. Lyle was going to take me out to dinner but I didn't want to go so he made hamburger sandwiches. Boy did he do good. Other than that I did nothing. My two kids called and later two cousins called me. Was nice talking to all of them.

Today is baseball for Hayley so will go and watch her play.

    Off for coffee.

    Good Morning!

Our power went out for an hour in the middle of the night! The Carbon Monoxide detector started beeping, I guess cuz it lost power ~ I took the battery so it would stop the beepoing.. Slept in an extra hour this morning..

Looks like a beautiful day today :) I will be at the animal shelter all afternoon...  Off to start my day...

Put your best foot forward and you will be happy in your own skin :)

    Hi Rosies!

Cloudy and overcast here.  I think I've got a Mother's Day hangover.  Not that I drank anything!  But I woke up this morning with my head, stomach, and back hurting.  Just now took some Advil and will go lay down.  I called in sick to work.  Thought maybe I'd do a half-day but just don't feel up to it.

The kids got me a very nice picture collage.  A picture of DH and I at our wedding, one each of all the boys and DIL, one of my MIL holding the baby, and one of my family taken when I was a little girl.  A absolute perfect gift!  DH took it to work today to show it off.

Hugs to all.  Have a great Monday!~~~Laura

    Good Morning everyone.

Zone 3, Main Bathroom and another room.  This week that other room will be the Laundry Room.

The Bathroom:  Clean around the backside and the sides of our toilets.  Wipe down all the surfaces.

Laundry Room:Today we are going to declutter all of the laundry supplies that we have hanging around.  Toss whatever you do not use or do not like.  This also means to toss all of those empty boxes and bottles that pile up.

    Happy belated Mother's Day everyone.

    Boy!  Where to start....

Maryann - The job in the bookstore sounds perfect.  Did you get a chance to do any of the secret shopping yet?

Jeanne - How is your knee feeling?  So glad your DH found your bracelet.  I've lost things that were never turned in or found.

IM - Good luck with the new house.

Maizey - How is Tom's shoulder?  Hope your back feels better soon.

Stacy - So far, so good on your court case.  How is Emily?

Pip - How is the new guy working out?

Lynn - I agree with the others.  If the service in your old place is not good they will lose the customers.

Tango - Good finds at the yard sales!  Let us know if you find any recipes that are extra special keepers.  Big Smile

Hoos - My sympathy to your family on the death of your niece.  Also Congrats to Jer!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUFF!!!

Dianae - Great pictures.  Has Sean decided where to go for college?

Pat - Beautiful young lady!  Keeping my fingers crossed for her to get that job.

All in all we had a very nice little vacation.  We had a tour of LV, did some gambleing, then got to Phx. and went right to the Hooding ceremony.   The Hood is a symbol of earning a Masters degree.  Not worn on the head but it hangs down the back of the gown and shows the school colors.  When that was over DD brought us to a Ghost town, Goldfield, AZ.   History lesson!  Makes you very glad you didn't have to live back in those days.  Then the graduation ceremony was the next day.  I'm so glad it was just graduation from ASU's College of Education.  There must have been close to 600 graduates.  Then the Grand Canyon on Sat.  400+ miles and DD drove all the way, her BF drove most of the way home.  We also hit an antique mall on Sun.  Yes I did find something small to bring home.   This was the first time we had the chance to meet her BF.  Seems like a nice guy.  Mannerly, polite, and very talkative for never having met us before.  I did not expect that.  Seems like most of the bf's I brought home were very quiet.

The bags are mostly unpacked and put away or in laundry!  Oh we also brought home a very large suitcase of DD's clothes.  I have to hang them up for her.  She still will have a car full of stuff when she moves!  Better go attend to the laundry.  The dryer is calling.  Third tub going in next.

Have a wonderful day.  I'll try to stop in later.

Happy belated Mother's Day!  I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday.  I fell asleep by the pool and got my first every true sunburn.  Ouch!  I am RED!!!!!!  When I got dressed for my last 1st Communion of the year last night I had a white blouse with sheer sleeves.  Becca said it looked like I was wearing a pink shirt because of the burn!

Laura - It sounds like you had a wonderful 1st Mother's Day as a grandma!

Dori - Sean is going to UNT to study hospitality management.  He is very excited.

Off to get the kiddos.  Later!

    Hi again.

Boy I've been on my feet all day.  Running with laundry, putting stuff away, going through mail and papers, and phone calls!

Dianae - I knew he was going to study hospitality management but didn't know where.  UNT = Univ. North Texas?  Hope that is close enough that he can come home sometimes.  Texas is a very BIG state!  Big Smile

Dinner is in the oven.  It's been cold and windy most of the day.  Weather man said we may have some beach errosion along the coast with this wind and rain.  I don't think we got as much rain as predicted.

    Have a great evening.

    Dori

Tomorrow at 9 am, I start taking care of the amputee.  It is a lady.  I am giving up that other job with the man.  Too few hours and it was a nightmare.  Also, I will be helping at the bookstore when she calls me.  The job with the lady is 5 hours a day and is $9 an hour.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel for awhile.  I love to read so will enjoy helping with that.

Hope everyone had a great day.  Hugs to all.  I am going to take a short nap and then do some work on the computer.
