    Job Application - help me

I am going to be dropping off my application in person.  How do I "prepare" it?  I mean I don't want to staple it together and say HERE lol!  Any recommendations.

OH and I HATE interviewing Tongue Tied I know I will survive.  I just hope I get an interview.

The likelihood is you'll be giving it to a receptionist who will then pass it to HR.  It's okay to staple it and say HERE, 'cause she ain't gonna care much.

But DO call HR at the end of the day to make sure they got the application.

make sure you include a copy of your resume and a cover letter....don't want to staple it together.. put it in an envelope and address that to the HR person...

I've always dropped mine off in a brightly colored folder or envelope.

Thanks sstetzel. That also works well when I need forms completed by a doctor. I take them in a big red folder -- when they point to the stack of forms to be filled out on their desk I can tell him which one it is.

SOF...sorry, I don't agree.  When I was working we all paid attention to the person filling out an app. or dropping one off...what were they wearing, did they have their own pen, did they bring anyone with them, etc.  We could see their car usually and checked that out too.  Some would come in all sweet and then go out to the car full of friends and kids and dogs and you could see the real person.  If it was an older car, so what, it was the total package.

Go in clean appropriate clothing, have that black pen on you and put your resume in a nice folder if you can, not expensive, just clean and not wrinkled. If no folder, have a nice cover page and it's okay to staple it all together.  Good luck!
