    Mineral based foundation

There seems to be a lot of make-up these days with a mineral component.  I have heard the one that is sold on QVC is suppose to be good.  I think it is Bare Essentials?  I picked up a knock-off of that product made by Maybelline-"mineral power"  I have always used a liquid foundation.  But I've noticed when I put my moisturizer on underneath, the top layer wants to start peeling off!  So I thought that I would try the "dry" approach.  I thought that I had applied my make-up today O.K., until I saw in the natural light while in the car, the dreaded line visible from jaw to neckline.  Guess I better lighten up on the application.  Any comments on which foundation you like the best?

I've used the Bare Minerals and I like it, so does my teenage daughter.  I used a store brand (can't remember which one) and the coverage was good but compared to Bare Minerals it felt very rough to my skin.

I use the Revlon brand, and I love it. Much better than liquid foundation!

I bought the Bare Minerals and decided I ddin't want to get stuck in the revolving ordering every three months.  So now I buy L'Oreal.  Put moisturizer on and let it set on your face for awhile before applying the powder.  It doesn't take much of the powder, I don't need much either. So far mine has lasted a year. Recently,  I was able to buy one get one at Walgreens, so I'm set.   For me, the L'Oreal stays on better than the Bare  Mineals.  I did try to go back to the liquid one day just to see the difference and my face just felt sticky.  Never again.
