    Hello Junies!

It looks to be a sunny day here, but a little chilly, only supposed to reach 59 today, it's 37 now.

After I drop boys off this morning, I need to head to Super WalMart and get groceries.  Low on a lot of stuff.

I've got laundry going already.  I need to do kitchen floor and vacuum today.

Yesterday was nice,  we went for breakfast around 9 am.  I pretty much just lazed around the rest of the day.  Around 3, we headed to my sisters to see Mom.  We were home by 5:30.  Watched the season finale of Survivor and then to bed.  I got cute cards from Royce and the boys.  Never did see or hear from Ryan  :  (   .

good morning all.  Rained all night and wind howled so took forever to get to sleep.  Still raining but wind has calmed down.  I'm off, have a chiro appt this am and have to be home for cable guy, AGAIN, later.  But gives me a reason not to work so guess that's ok.  LOL  If it keeps raining will probably delay our concrete pour since we are scheduled for Wed but the guy has another job he is working on and if he can't do it today we get pushed back.  But Ed is glad to have found some one he feels good about.

Making roasted veg penne for dinner if I find the veggies I want otherwise broc/caul tetrazinni.  Also will make a rhubarb crunch.  Holly continues to settle in, has appts today and tomorrow like dentist and eye dr then off to Duck.  Scott and kristine are excited as their puppy comes today.  I'll go over this eve to see him.  Maybe he'll have a name by then.   :)   They have some ideas but wanted to see him first.

Saw on the news where a tornado went thru Dublin, GA, Ed's oldest DS and her DH live there plus 3 or 4 of their sons and families.  My SIL in VA called last night and said she heard that it did hit their farm but not the house, a barn roof, tool shed and not sure what else if any since phone connection was really bad, cell phone.  Couldn't get any of the family.  But apparently power out all around there.

Margie, have a good day, don't over do.  Glad you like your swing

Cherie, that was so nice of the kids to remember.  Sorry you had that scare but glad it missed you.  HOpe the next few days speed by.  Vacation coming.  :)

HI to everyone else.  Have read the posts I missed but don't have them in front of me to address everyone.   Jill

Wow, I am tired. Only got 2 hours of sleep. Should have had 3 1/2 but had trouble going to sleep after that 3-11 shift. It was ok place, it was a great chance to get to serve our veterans who gave so much for the country and now have Alzheimers. Some of them you could tell were highly educated. ONe was a doctor. It was so sad. He would wheel his chair around to the other residents and ask them if they knew anything about ______ and the blank would be some big old doctor word that you knew they didn't know anything about. Church gave all the women a bag with some lotion and some liquid soap type stuff and several bags of herbal tea and then a really neat little bag that is very sturdy and has pics of hydrangeas all over it. Will have to take pics later.

Margie, I hear you about the swing. I have no idea what Pearl and her bunch did with the swing Gregg and I had over there. It would have needed a new cushion and top, but still, it was really neat. Oh well. Sure hope nobody does anything to yours. It was very relaxing when the weather was nice.

Might be late getting back on if we have overtime. Have a lung doctor appointment at 4. so that will put me in the heavy traffic coming home. ANd have another errand to ruin after that.

    Have a great day everybody.

Patti, sorry you didn't hear from Ryan. Glad you had a good day otherwise.

    Deb, pizza sounds good.

Do I hear there is yet another Sherry on here? Wow, that makes 4. I am going to have to start putting SherryS or Sherry from AZ or something (LOL)

Jill, sorry about relatives being hit by storm. Must have been scary for it to be so close.

Sorry it damaged any of their property.

Have a great day. Got to pack lunch and find coffee. Badly in need of coffee this morning.

    Meatloaf

    3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
2 large yellow onions, peeled and minced
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
      3 lbs. ground chuck
      1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
      1 egg, lightly beaten
      1 cup fresh bread crumbs
      Salt
      Freshly ground black pepper
      3 tbsp. Ketchup
    Preparation
    1. Heat oil in a medium sauté pan over low heat. Add onions and garlic and cook until soft, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
    2. Preheat oven to 350°. Combine ground chuck, tomato sauce, egg, bread crumbs, half the onion-garlic mixture, and salt and pepper to taste in a large bowl. Stir just enough to mix.
    3. Place meat in a 3" X 11" loaf pan and round the top with your hands to form a crown. Top with remaining onion-garlic mixture and drizzle with ketchup. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand about 10 minutes for easier slicing.
Horseradish Meat Loaf -- Omit the tomato sauce in step 2. Substitute 1 - 2 tbsp. horseradish, 1/4 cup cream, and 2 tbsp. ketchup.

    Yield serves 6 - 8

Good morning!  Sounds like all who have checked in had a pretty good weekend.  Me, all I did was work!  LOL, that's normal for me!  Had a scare last night with the storms.  Tornado warning heading right at us.  I posted last night about.  All here is ok, wow the wind has been fierce.

3 more work days until vacation.  Big Smile  Lots to do at work in able to leave for the 9 days.  Dan (my oldest son)  Got on line last night and purchased and printed our Busch Gardens tickets.  We bought the 7 day ticket.  We'll use it 3 days.  It was only $20 more than a single day and we wanted to go at least 2 days.  Also went on line and changed our hotel reservations to a hotel closer to the park.  Gas is getting worse and worse.  It will not keep us home, though!  Just have to plan it in the budget.

Andy just got out of the shower and wants me to blow dry his hair!  So got to go and then I'm going to try and get another hour sleep in.

Hugs and love to you all.

    Cherie

    to all my June friends!

Chilly here again, but the sun is out & it's supposed to warm up to around 60. Had lots of rain & wind yesterday, good for all the new plantings!
I have a ton of laundry to work on, and need to sweep & mop floors. I will head to the post office when they open and get the grad announcements mailed out; we finished them all yesterday. I also ordered more pictures; I oops'd and forgot to order a couple I needed, and Shelly handed out almost all her wallet size pics already, LOL!!
Had a very nice Mother's Day, out for brunch, then home; I got very sweet cards from all my kids, and a candy bouquet with a Willow Tree Kitchen angel in it, a hanging basket & a new garden flag. Danielle's class also made a flower pot project; it's a painted wooden pot with pretty flowers "growing" in it! We made pizza last night & had my mom out for supper.

Margie, hope you don't work too hard after your busy day yesterday. Look forward to seeing your new swing!!

((Patti)), glad you enjoyed your day, even tho you didnt' hear from Ryan. Sounds like you have a very busy day planned, don't work too hard!

Deb, sorry you're having trouble posting siggies, that's frustrating. Hope your weather clears & you enjoy the day!

Jill, glad you enjoyed your long weekend, but bet you're glad to be back home. Hope your appt. goes well this AM. So sorry to hear some of your family was affected by that storm; hope they are all ok.

((Sherry)), sorry you didn't get much sleep. Hope your appt. goes well this afternoon, & you can get to sleep early tonight.

Cherie, how very scary to be in the path of a tornado!! So glad it turned & you are all ok. Glad your kids remembered you yesterday. Hope the next 3 days go quickly!!

Sherryh, welcome to the Junes! Sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day!!

Well, can't remember what all else I read, and need to get busy anyway. Hope everyone has a great day!! hugs,

Lisa, meant to say, thanks for sharing the pics of Shelly.  Lovely pics.  Must have been hard to pick which ones to get made up to send to people.

Good Morning Ladies. Hope everyone is having a good Monday so far. it's another cool and cloudy day here. I'm so sick of this gloomy weather. Sounds like everyone had a nice Mothers Day weekend. Like I reported yesterday, I had a great day too. DH and I spent mosty of the afternoon outside. I mostly just sat around while he puttered around, but it was nice to spend time together. WE got taske out for supper last night, and then watched out latest Netflex movie, Flyboys. it was a good movie. So far, today has been my usual morning routine. DH went off to work and now I just finished breakfast, I also have laundry in the machine. I plan on watering houseplanrts, and doing some cleaning as well. Suppper for tonight will be roasted chicken, stuffing, gravy, and a salad.

This week will be crazy at my house. WE're having some bricks layed out by the flower garden, and a wall repaired, actually, he's taking the wall down altogether, and redoing it. When that is done he is digging up, and repaving the driveway!

Margie, Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you.

Patti, Glad to hear your Mother's Day was nice.

DEb, A usual, we're having the same type of weather. I wish it would fel more springlike here. I'm so sick of the cool gloomy days!

Jill, Good Luck at the chiro appt.

Sherry, Hope you get to sleep better tonight. When I don';t get enough sleep, Im good for nothing the next day!

Thats it for now. HELLO to anyone I missed.

    Hi girls

Well today I have the time to read and reply to all the posts, but I have a splitting headache!!  I can't really think clearly.  I have been getting these migraines for the past few months and I am fairly certain they are hormonal, but will give it one more month before I go to dr for pain Rx.

Hope you all have a nice day - I am going to go back and lay down.  I work in the kindergarten class today and want to see if I can shake this headache some.

Just got a minute to say good morning.  The boys are here, and they are all ready for breakfast.  I have a ton of laundry that I need to get on the line and need to get some posts put in around the apple tree so I can put up a fence.  Gary is eating the blossom buds off it.  Enjoy you day.
