Good Morning Dear Friends in Tea, May 12th, Sip By Sip

Good Morning Dear friends in Tea. I am delighted to open the door to the TeaRoom and find so many caring friends and sentiments awaiting me. God has carved another heart inside of me and its weeping, but he is sewing it in and although this particular loss has no familiar to me, there are other losses that have similariTeas. That is where I am leaning to find my way. That is how one day will replace another, until the floor, walls and roof take shape.

I had a lovely experience yesterday morning that I would like to share. DS Aaron took me with him to get the perfect Mother's Day Breakfast food, Kispy Kreme [I know spell check but I like how it looks] Dough Nuts. We were coming home the country way and as we wound ourselves through the neighboring city of Linden DS made a stop at a new business in the town square.  There we had a truly spectacular cup of coffee at 'Bear Creek Coffee'. I have never really been a coffee lover, so this is an excellent test of a product. The owner offers a wonderful line of teas from "Tempest Tea Company". My tea this morning is called 'Peace'. It is a Rooibos Tea with cammomile and mint, described as similar to Sleepy Time by Celestial...but, I think it is much better. I can't wait to try their other blends. The teas are available by visiting Bear Creek online [but it is every so nice in person].

If you would like to take a virtual business trip with me please visit www.latteyourway.com and say hello to a splendid gentleman who made my day with his friendliness.

Your very grateful hostess and friend, Mary

Good morning, {{{Mary}}} and Tea Angels!

What a nice Mother's Day experience, Mary...donuts and coffee with your DS! I love the play on similariTeas. We've had quite a bit of rain and cool temps. Yesterday felt like an autumn day. Sending prayers and hugs to you, my friend!

Thinking of you all and waving Hello!

A very good morning from a beautiful Southern California.  I hope your days are just the way you would want them to be.

Sounds like many had a beautiful Mother's Day, especially yours, Mary.

My son being well is the best mother's day for me and my daughter called last night and we had a beautiful visit.  She also sent me a card and it made me laugh.  She said that she was sending flowers to me but then when she found out we were headed north she cancelled them so she drew pictures of flowers in her card saying they were the "new" flowers she was sending.  It made me laugh right out loud.  Better than any bought flowers, for sure.

Hi Carole....When I want lyrics for a song, I simply put in the title of the song or the group, singer and add the word lyrics to it.....example, Amazing Grace lyrics or Beatles lyrics....it's usually pretty easy!

Hope you ALL have a peaceful night...

Good Morning Tea Babes!  Phew!  I almost set out to build us an ark after the crazy weather of the last couple days.  Today looks much more promising as the sky is blue and the sun is shining.  DD is off to the State level competition for National History Day.  Remember last year she came in first place?  We're not really hoping for a repeat this year as Nationals seems a little bit of a stretch after going last year.  We'll be happy for whatever she gets, of course, and I think she'll be more than a little relieved if it all ends tomorrow.

I must go shopping today!  Since DD will not be home for supper, I think we'll have quiche.  Everybody likes it but her, so she won't miss anything.  Need to fill the cupboards as well!

Mary, I hope these days are precious to you even amid the pain and sadness of loss.  There is something precious about those as well and I know you'll find it.  Many hugs to you, my dear.  I hope you can "feel" us with you.

Well, Carole's up and out.  I was scared not to post today after that scolding!  haha  Where is everybody else?  Good morning, good morning!  Have a great day.  I'll be back later.  Hugs and 10,000 blessings, Lisa A.

Good morning, girlfriends!  We are headed for a hot weekend and it is supposed to start today.  The valleys will be in the 90's and only escalate from there.  Good thing we have a day trip planned to a camping spot on the ocean.  Friends got a spot for their camper but by the time I logged on they were sold out.  We will go up there for the day, on Saturday, and put up a tarp and plop our butts on the baech to read and enjoy the water.  I never go in the water because I don't like the feel of salt water on me and how it dries on you.  I also don't like the feel of sand on my feet so I wear sand shoes.  I know, I know, I'm a mental maniac!  The problem with this years sand shoes is that I bought them too large.  i've got to keep my eyes open for a good sale and buy a smaller size.

LisaA, quiche sounds good.  How do you make yours and what will you serve with it?  I have hamburger out and will probably just fry it up with some onion and a little garlice and then add shredded cabbage.  Something quick and easy.  That's what it is all about, lately.

Carole, stay cool because I know with your heat comes humidity.  I don't want you to frizz up your hair!  LOL

Mary, hope you are doing well.  I think of you often.

Susie, that's how i get the lyrics to songs also.  I like to turn on my yahoo music and then find the lyrics and sing away with them.  Good thing I'm in the back part of the house so I don't drive Earl crazy.

    Hugs

    Kathy

Good afternoon to everyone.  We are having an overcast day, but no wind so it is fine with me. Mary dear,  I pray that your heart will begin its journey to healing now, and that you can find joy and rest again.  The heart has this magnificent way of healing a bit at a time.  Reminds me of the Scripture that tells us that "we are fearfully and wonderfully made".  Indeed we are, else we could not continue our journey with hope after such hurtful things come our way.

Good afternoon angels,  It has been a beautiful day here today.  A little cloudy, a small rain shower for about 5 minutes then sunshine again.

LisaApron,  I was not scolding.  Sorry if it sounded that way.  Just concerned about all our missing angels.  Hope your DD does good again this year in the History thing.  I always hated history.  I can not remember dates.  I remember events but not dates.

Kathy,  Mama left Sunday going camping again.  She will probably be gone a week as usual.  We never know until we see the motorhome pull into the drive.   By the way my hair does not frizz.  To short and to straight.  but yeah the humidity gets bad.

Mimit,  are you getting rain?  we need some so bad.  Everything is so dry here.  Have a good day.

Kay, slow down, it will still be there later.  Hope you are doing good.

    {{{{{{{Mary}}}}}}

Well,  lets see who else we can scare into posting. LOL LOL  Everybody have a great afternoon, evening and sweet dreams.

    Hugs

Aww Carol, I hope you know I was just kidding with you.  I know what you mean about needing our ducklings to check in.  Half the time I'm one of the guilty ones!  I'm still waiting to hear how DD did today.  She's boppin' along, blissfully unaware how we're all on pins and needles.  Oh to be 14!  Have a good night everybody.  Big hugs, Lisa Apron

Carole, it's good that you shake things up and get me to writing a few lines instead of just reading. Not that I have that much to say most of the time..I've been trying to learn all about my new computer and how it operates as it is so very different from my old clunky, slow one. This one really zips along at top speed. (A surprise Mother's Day gift from DH and DD). I guess they got tired of hearing me threaten to throw the old one out the back door.

It rained and rained all day long and it was cold too - a depressing sort of a day. However, I do believe we are in for nicer weather as it is suppose to climb to 80 by Thursday - wow, summer all at once. Then I'll complain that it got too hot too fast. We don't usually get that warm even in July, but this year all bets are off with the way the weather across the country has been behaving.

Mary, I've been thinking of you and your family and hope your aching heart is feeling better each day. Lisa, let us know how your daughter did in the history competition - what a good experience for her. Cathy, what fun to look forward to some lazy, hazy days at the sandy beach, even if your sand shoes are too big. What exactly are sand shoes anyhow??

Time to head for my pillows - you all have a wonderful day tomorrow and be sure to check in here so Carole knows what we're up to as she always is there for us. Goodnight Tea Angels -

    Anne
