    Good Morning Everyone!!!!

The coffee is ready!! Who needs a cup or two or three??? MIchelle, how about you?? I am sure you need the added caffine boost with all you have on your plate!!!!

I just got up a little bit ago, so its almost time to get Mom up. Not alot new here.  I wanted to bring Rebecca's post over to todays so everyone would be sure to see it.

    Hello All!

I am preparing for my final tomorrow. I have an "A" going into it. I am so looking forward to a break from studies. Please wish me luck and say a prayer or two...my final is from 2:30 -4:30.

I've missed popping in here, hope all is well. We are pretty good here. Paige's baby brothers have been better though. Matthew (7-months old) spent Friday night in the E.R. He was given an antibiotic Thursday for an ear infection and it looks like he is allergic to penicillin products. His whole body turned rashy and red and his legs swelled severely and were taught and shiny red. Poor guy! Then Isaac had a stomach virus with a high fever all of Saturday, and he was still not quite with it yesterday.

Here's a big hug to all. I better get back to studying.

    Rebecca

Morning all. I'm here - very tired but here. I had a meeting at work yesterday at 1130 - real bad time for night workers!!! Anyway, since I had to come over anyway, I brought a load of stuff over. After the meeting I unloaded it, went home and went back to bed. I slept until I came in to work last night. I had intended to bring another load over with me last night but that didn't happen LOL. I'm thinking today I'll pack up some more stuff and maybe bring a load over this afternoon or early evening. Then reload before coming in tonite. I'm off tomorrow (Thank Goodness!!!!!) and am planning on bringing over the bed and tv. That way I'll be here for my 4 day weekend I'm working. A LOT less running, saving gas and getting acclimated to the new house is what Taffy and I need. I'll also get a chance to unpack, list what else I need then get that over here. Then I can focus on cleaning out the other house and be done with it all!!!! Whew, will that be a huge weight off the shoulders.

My diet has been bad, bad, bad the last few weeks. I'm not getting in the calories I need to stay healthy and that along with working so much has me dragging. It'll look good on the A1C I'll have done in June as my sugars have been looking good - sometimes a bit low, but it'll be a "false good" so I'll have to be honest with the MD and tell him not to get excited if the A1C is down/good.

I promise to work harder at eating better and getting more rest. I'm feeling the effects and am paying attention to the warning signs of exhaustion. As I said, as soon as I get my bed over here I'll stop running for a couple weeks and get a bit more rest and proper nutrition.

Well, gotta go move. Love and lots of Fuzzies!!!

    Good morning, everyone.

A quiet morning, here, too. But, will be a normal May day, finally.

MARY, same old, same old, here now, too.

MICHELE, little by little is good. Best part is you will be settled, soon.

Have JOYCE in my thoughts as she goes to the hospital for tests, today.

Quiet morning, and a perm this afternoon. BBL

Nancy – I saw a couple of gas stations have gas for $3.95 this morning, but I haven't seen any over $4.00 YET. I heard on the news the other day that we could possibly be $7.00 within 3 years. What are people going to do? Thank you for the prayers and good thoughts on my tests this morning. Have a nice time at the salon.

Hauke – I hope you all had a wonderful birthday celebration for your Mother. Belated best wishes to her.

Mary – I can't imagine you having snow that close! In May – that is unimaginable. I'm so glad Ron got cleared from home health care. That's a very good sign.

Rebecca – Good luck on your test. I'll be praying for you. The poor little boys. I hope they are both feeling better now.

Michele – You are just amazing with all that you are getting done. WHEW! I'm tired just reading. It's no wonder you aren't eating right. You don't seem to have any down time to eat proper meals. But I know you will get back on track once you are settled. I can completely understand that you want to get things moved and get it behind you.

Good news! My coins weren't stolen. I wrongly accused. They had fallen over and had rolled under the front seat. I don't remember hearing them fall, but they evidently did at some point. I feel so bad (and stupid) that I accused somebody. I promptly put them in the trunk and will go cash them in today.

I did go for medical tests this morning. The only surgery I've ever had was to have my gall bladder out and we didn't do any of these tests. She took 8 tubes of blood! And there were lots of other tests. They gave me this device that I have to use to do breathing exercises for 2 weeks before surgery and 2 weeks after. One test they didn't do that I expected was a stress (or treadmill) test. Also, a colonoscopy. But I don't mind that they didn't do either one of those!

We have a nice day here today, but tomorrow it is to cool down and they are predicting rain.

Re: DC Conversation - Tuesday, May 13

Good Morning all ~~ and those to follow:

I feel as if this is a 'free' day, as bridge was cancelled today.  Our hostess has unexpected house guests; the brother of the husband was very ill and died yesterday.  She has do idea how long the guests will be here (they live in Florida).  So, after spending most of yesterday out of town for another doctor's appt., I can at the very least spend today at home.  Since I'm on the Nurture Comm. at church, I do have to prepare Italian Beef to take tomorrow evening for our Koinonia night.  The whole evening consists of 2 different Bible studies, dinner, choir practice, and a program for the childern.  Different groups within the church take turns preparing the Wed. dinners, and this week is our turn.

Once the Italian beef is in the slow cooker, I do need to get some ironing done.  With all this cool weather, I have been very lax at getting lighter weight clothing out and ready to wear.  But, I think I've put it off as long as I dare.  One of these days the temps will be in the 80's, and I'll be complaining of the heat.

Last week SIL and I went to check out a new business that has opened in town.  It is a combination flower/gift shop, and they also serve flavored coffees, lattes, etc.  Well, ladies, I have never in my life seen a place so empty and bare.  Not only that, but their lattes were terrible ~~ no flavor, and they were cold!  Unless there is a complete turn-around, I can't imagine this place staying in business very long.  And, it sounded so neat.

It sounded like many of you had wonderful Mother's Days ~~ mine was very quiet.  It seems I have 3 very busy daughters, consequently DH and I spent a very quiet day alone at home.  One daughter was sick ~ she is coming home this coming weekend, one was frantically trying to get ready to head for Virginia for a week with 5 dogs (she said we would celebrate Mother's Day in June), and the third daughter was so very tired from working too many hours, with not enough sleep, that she just wanted to stay in bed.  So, DH prepared a wonderful beef roast dinner, and we spent the day doing 'whatever we wanted'.  All in all, not too bad.

I may have a difficult time staying inside today, as it is sunny and headed for the mid 70's.  Then, of course, rain again in the later week.  Well, I'd best get going....................

    'til later, Sandy  Big Smile

    Hello Everyone,

Hope all had a pleasant Mother's Day and restful weekend. DH went to the md yesterday & it was decided that he will be scheduled for the angio within a couple of wks, and advised to complete his disability paperwork, md said it was going to be awhile before he goes back to work, but no eta's. So I'll just enjoy having him home.

I wish I had the energy you all seem to have around here looking at your schedule's, I'm kinda tired now, so hope everyone has a good evening and will check back later. zonebrat.

    Hi, everyone.

Home from the perm, and a few other errands. Found more great hanging planters at Aldi's. I stopped at Aldi's for a few things, and the flower supply came in. So, the choice was so good.

JOYCE, glad you found your change jar. Your assumption was normal with all the circumstances. But, I did lose some cherry tomatoes the same way, one time. That was a lot of blood to draw, but they must be checking everything.

SANDY, I'm sure you will miss your card night. We get so used to regular social activities. Your meal for church sounds really good.

ZONEBRAT, we will keep your DH in our prayers for things to do well. Russell and I know how powerful prayer can be.

Have a good evening, ours will be wet, I guess.

    Good Evening Everyone!!!!

Joyce, I am glad you found your jar of money!!  I would assume the same thing as you did.

Zonebrat, prayers to you and your DH for things to go well.

Hi Sandy!!! Sorry you are missing cards tonight!!

Rebecca, sorry to hear the boys are not feeling up to par!! Good luck with all your tests! We all miss you!!!

Nancy, my DD got me the prettiest plant for MD.  It is yellow wave petunia...a real pale yellow. I can not put the plant out yet...hopefully soon.  Bet you are feeling pretty perky getting you hair permed.  I have to get on the ball here and get Mom her perm. Just so much to do right now, I keep putting it off.

Not alot new here. I did alot of cleaning, changing the beds and chores today.  Cooked a good supper of turkey, mashed potato's, asparagus, green bean and corn.  It was pretty good. I am stuffed.

Wishing you ALL a GREAT Evening!! Don' forget to watch Idol and Dancing with the Stars tonight!!!  Did any of you watch the Bachelor??? It was pretty good this time around, but you feel sorry for the girls he kisses off.

    Hugs,

    Mary

    Big Smile

    Good Evening Ladies;

Well this weather can smarten up any time, we had rain most of the day, but its to warm up by the weekend, then we will be complaining that its to hot.

Mary yes I made those stuffed mushrooms, DH said that I could make those again but not give them away as they are to good to give away, then I told him that it was for the person that put such a big smile on his face,(Trina's wedding) then he said I guess so, that recipe is a keeper for sure and sooooooooo  easy to do.

Went back to the diabetic clinic to day, I will let you how I make out I do not have to take the insulin till 9.30 our time and I have to get up at 3 pm to do a finger poke, and do that for 2 nights then I have to increase my insulin every 3 nights till it gets to 7 in the morning, I may as well have a new born at home with the 3 pm finger pokes, will keep you posted, the pen I think I will be ok with  rather than the needles.

Thanks for all your support through this, again this is such an interesting board, and  for info and support you are all great,
