Good morning!  It's a bit chilly out here, but supposed to get warmer also.

My DD had to put a new radiator in my car last night and then found he needed a hose also.  Too late as the stores were closed so this morning our DF is going to get one and try and put it in.  Hope so, as we have our Ladies Nite Out tonight and I was driving.  We're going out to Warmen to the Knotty Monk for chicken wings.  This is our last draw for the season, then we start up again in September.

Laura, I sent you an E Mail.

Better go get my coffee and toast.

Camping in the cold and rain with little kids is miserable for mom, cause the kids don't even notice that it isn't nice, and they play and play and get so wet and cold, yet they dont' even know it!  But it is suppose to be sunny and mid 20's, so PERFECT for may!!!

EMC said she would be missing for a weekish.  I can give you an update on Heather.  She was working outside yesterday, and probably heard me scream.  You see, I was just going to move the sprinkler, and my three year old goes and turns it on just as I grab the sprinkler!  I scream, and he is up their laughing at me!!  Three years old, the little rat!

Today is coffee day at SIL house, we are having lasagna for lunch.  We had rain overnight,  might get some sun this afternoon yet, things are S-L-O-W-L-Y starting to turn green.

Good Morning! Need to start a fire in my stove to warm up...maybe take a shower. Temperature thingy isn't working for the outside temp, but it's gotta be a cool one. DH left early this morning to fill up an anhydrous applicator on a farmer's yard. Later he came back VERY QUIETLY to have breakfast. He came in at 7:30 to give me my meds before he left for the day, and a fresh icepack for my pillow. I just got up. I'm going out later to spend some time in my flower beds. Have a great day, Ladies!

    Hi everyone;

Sharon,  I got your email now waiting anxiously for my snail mail.  Thanks

It was -1'C this morning.  We probably had ice on the birdbath too Dolores.  When,  oh when....can we start putting out plants and pretending it's Spring here?  DH and I wanted to work all day out in the yard,  but it's still too chilly.  It's supposed to get 'hot' later ...up to +17'C.  Now isn't that a crazy range of temps?

I sure hope all you campers get perfect weather for the long week-end.

Now, I'm going to go outside and 'feel' the air.

Char I hope for your sake you get sun and 20 - Our long range shows rain all weekend.

Ada - sweetie - I hope you don't need more surgery on your face too.

Sharon - lucky you DH could do the rad. I just got back from the garage from getting a new rad installed and cost me $550.00. Yesterday eye appt and come out of there spending $500.00. Geez I need to find more work.

Wendy -glad you went for a mamogram - wish DD good luck on the surgery for the wisdom teeth and hope you does not get the crud too. Good luck at a nursery - I would love to go to one, all I hear here is these guys breaking up the cement balconies.

Dolores - good frost it sounds like - lots of dew here this am -but sunny right now and rain tomorrow.

Have a good time at the centre

Viola - I would be bringing in herbs  at night if you plant now, I got tons of herbs but I 'm leaving them on the window cell for now. Its impossible to get basil here after 24 weekend. People buy it like crazy and take it to the lake with them.

Yooper - hope you don't get rain on Friday. Spring has been the pits - I bet we go right into a humid summer too.

The clouds are clearing out. We've had some sun, and no frost here last night.

The long range forecast for here is sun now until Sunday and temperatures near 20.  We may be tempted to stay home and get lots done.  There will always be too much to do and not enough hours to relax.  We'll take the long weekend now 'cause there won't be a chance of getting away until after harvest.

More to load into trailer. and  we have 2 deliveries tomorrow for Winnipeg.  Catch everyone later.

Crea, why do people take basil to the lake with them? Or are you talking about the bedding plants and summer cottages? Going outside now...before the sun gets too bright for my eyes. I prefer semi-cloudy days, can you tell? LOL

Back home from work, it was foggy this morning you would be surprised how many people don't turn on their lights. I 'm suppose to know when there is a car ahead of me.

I was thinking about CB just a few days ago, we still miss her. Crea give her my best and good luck in all the entries.

Char that must have been a funny scene when Zach turned on the hose.  I bet he will do it again to get mommy wet.

Wishing you all the best health Ada, how was your Mother's day? Tell me can the younger people keep up with you? What about Bill?

Yooper, it turned out much nicer today compare to yesterday, and it looks like more rain tomorrow. I know they need rain in Sask. some years it's too dry and others too wet.

Hi Grubup, I suppose it near your bedtime, enjoy the weather day.

Viola, don't talk about planting your plants on the balcony....it will depress Crea, she is so upset with all this bull.

Cookie, is it warmer now that the snow is gone? How are the critters?

    Re: Canadian Corner 13/05/08

HEY....I'm not PLANTING....I'm moving the dirt around the pots. I don't know if I can get some plants this year or not, but I've got some seeds....And I just did about half the pots before my back told me it will not play THAT game anymore. I'll do the rest tomorrow. And then I can clean up the balcony floor and make it at least presentable.

I just did a "burn" of the BBQ, and am letting it cool, will scrape it all as clean as it'll get, and maybe there's enough propane to do some chicken tonight. If not, it'll work just as well under the broiler.

Whew, cars DO cost, don't they? Every time I get to thinking how nice it would be to HAVE one.... some very thoughtful friend reminds me of how much a little repair or simple tune-up will cost, and it makes me happy with my bus tickets! $50 or so, a month for rides on Big Orange...I'll take that!

LOL....we've been hearing about the OPP traffic helicopter, and I'm watching it fly over the highways right now. The news people said that they've already caught quite a few speeders and unsafe drivers....GOOD!

    Everyone have a good afternoon/evening!
