    Good Morning June friends!

I hope you all slept well!! I did, but was making lists and looking at recipes for camping after I was in bed, then got so excited, I couldn't fall asleep! LOL

We went to watch oldest DD play soccer last night for the team she's a sub for. She didn't want to go, it was rainy and cold. But she had a great time! The coaches would like her to be there every game, but she's too busy with work, BF, school, other soccer, piano exam, etc... I parked my van as close as I could to the game and stayed where it was dry.

This morning I sent the girls off to school, swept and washed all floors... have a few more chores to do and a bit of laundry to finish, then I'm off to see my doctor about the underactive thyroid and do a few other errands. Have to pick up DD after school, other one has to work. We might stop and check out a job for her where she used to go to gymnastics, for 6 years, she'd love to work there! She still loves gymnastics and loves working with kids, so it would be ideal for her. Later tonight she has soccer practise.

Have a great Tuesday everyone. I'm off to get a cup of coffee, then back to read the posts.

Good morning Junebugs, sorry I have been so busy on Mother's Day and my Birthday, my family has kept me quite busy. DH took 4 days off, so we could spend some time together, and get some things done in the house and yard also. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day, and that you were honored as a wonderful Mother. My family was so great, I had flowers galore, and a beautiful Orchid plant from my DD, and a GC from my favorite greenhouse from DD as well. They over did it as usual, that is such a nice family, that I have.

My DH took me out to Longfellow's greenhouse yesterday, and told me to buy what I want, goodness you don't tell a gardener to do that out to a greenhouse, Lol, so I did just that. I brought Little Mouse Ears, a new Hosta, I have been wanting, 2 dark and light blue Delphiums, 2 white and purple Foxgloves, Lobelia flowers, 3 packages of Hollyhock seeds, 2 Clematis, one a yellow I have been wanting, and a Nelly Mosher Clematis. I also brought a wrought iron trellis for my yellow Clematis, cucumber seedlings, 1 Lemon Boy tomato plant, that I want to try, and that's it, Lol. So today I am doing some more planting, DH moved 2 bushes for me yesterday also, can't dig those up yet, as my back won't tolerate it, so that was a big help to me.

I have my raised beds all ready to plant seeds and seedlings, but will wait until Memorial Day for that, as it gets too cool at night here. I also have cleaned out my Hosta bed and Lily bed, and they look so nice. The weather has been in the 60's, so it is great planting weather, and I am getting a lot done before it rains. Tonight my family is taking me to Olive Garden to eat, and I am going to have Seafood Portafino, with shrimp and mussels in it, and noodles and a cream sauce. I asked them not to get me a cake, as I am doing so good on my  weight. They have the waiters at Olive Garden sing Happy Birthday to me, and it is so embarrassing, my face gets so red. They also bring over a big piece of cake, so I will make my DD eat it, Lol, for being such a brat. She gets a kick out of hearing them sing to me.

Hope everthing is going well for everyone, thank all of you for the birthday wishes, I appreciated every one of them. Thank you for sending me birthday cards in the mail also to my dear Margie, and sweet Patti. I was so happy to receive them. You are such a nice group of friends to me, I don't know what I would do without all of you, I really enjoy each and everyone of you. So thank you again and hope you all are planting some nice bulbs or flowers today, to make you happy, and Margie, I hope you have that swing up, and are enjoying every minute that you are in it. I will be thinking of you when I am swinging in mine also.

    Hello again.

I'm taking a break.  I've finished my kitchen windows, the blinds are laying over the deck outside drying and the curtains are blowing in the breeze also.

    Ironing is done too.

Hope to head outside shortly, not sure what I'll accomplish, but will get at something.

Morning everyone!  The last few days have been very busy. We are still working on the bathroom. Sunday DH took the toilet out to put in the wall paneling and floor tile. It was about 2:00 p.m. when he did this and didn't get the potty back in until 11:00 p.m.. Needless to say it was a long day. When ever we had to use the bathroom, we had to go down to DH work place. I have a bladder the size of a pea- so there was alot of trips!!!  We got the shower back up. When we moved in it didn't have a shower so DH bought the stuff to make a shower with rods. I did find some pretty shower curtains at dollar general.  Basicly all we have left is the trim , quarter round and vanity. I think I might make it through!!!! I've been power cleaning with graduation on Sunday. It's amazing the dirt you can find if you look real close. Maybe I'm just a bad housekeeper!!!

Margie. DS gets out of school tomorrow at noon. That's because he's a senior, The rest of the school get out on May 23

Sherryh, It's just makes me sick about the gas prices. Here in western Nebraska gas is 3.39 -3.65 depends on the station. Milk here is 3.45 a gallon. That is for skim milk. Thats the only kind DS likes to drink!!  Another thing I don't understand is the price of eggs, One week they will be 2.93 then the next 2.54. Whats with that? .Are the chickens going on strike? LOL

Well I best go and get some cleaning done. Wishing all a great day!

    Sheri

Hello Again Ladies. I've had a busy but productive day so far. Sometimes I amaze myself with how much work I get done, other times, I can't get motivated!!! The workers arrived this morning at 9am, and boy have they been working hard. The wall is knocked down already!! DH called and was very happy to hear the workers were here, and the project has begun. It;'s still windy outside, but at least the sun is shining. Since i fi nished my hoiusework, I decided to post a little, then I'll probably read this mornings  paper, since I only glanced at it earlier.  Soon it will be lunchtime, then I'll watch my soaps. Maybe I'll get a little reading in too. Have a great day!

    Good Morning All!!

Going to attempt a REAL post.  Not too much pain this morning so I will be working in the kitchen cleaning up and making something for the kids for after school snack.  Probably cookies.  I want to make the PB tollhouse, but I am out of ink.  If I wait until DH comes home, I can put his laptop in the kitchen and just keep it on the screen.  Not the most convenient way to do it, but a doable solution.  Dinner tonight will be pork cooked I don't know how, with a side dish of who knows what, and cauliflower or broccoli as the veggie.  I am very indecisive this morning.  I have the duct cleaners coming at 9:30 and the furnace installers at 12:30.  I am required to be here, so I don't know when I will get to the pharmacy to pick up my pain meds.  The pharmacy can take up to 3 hours (no joke) in wait time.  They really need to open a second one up somewhere on this installation or do away with the dmv style service.  We are supposed to be rainy today and clearing up tomorrow.  Saturday is supposed to be near 90 and then back to cool and wet on Monday.

Margie, I'm sure you will come up with something deliciously delightful for supper tonight.  You alway have the best sounding meals.  Hope you dry out soon.  I am planning on digging out weeds and what not this weekend.  My kids have, 22 1/2 days of school left.  The last day, June 19, is only a half day and they have 2 half day Weds (teacher development).  They are also off May 23 and 26 for Memorial Day.  Then they are off June 9 for, get this, teacher development.  Can't the teachers develop over the summer?

Jill, I know you said what kind of puppy, but I am forgetting this morning.  Some breeds take to crate training quicker than others.  Hopefully they will have the patience for it to be successful.  We had an Australian shepherd mix that took to it.  Within a week she willing went into it.  We gave her a rawhide whenever she had to go into it.  That was the only place she was allowed to have it.

Deb, I can't get my siggies to post at all.  My computer too is having issues.  I know for a fact one of my RAM sticks is gone.  I think that is 99% of my issues lately.

Patti, supper sounds good.  Hope all your valances come out nice and your "new" doily and tablecloth as well.  I love getting "old" stuff and using it.  My blinds need a good cleaning.  I want to get one of those Pledge dusters.  My one neighbor bought one specifically for her blinds.  They look brand new (well the ones the cats haven't trashed) and she has been in her house for 5 years.

Cherie, sorry you had such a rough night.  How exciting to be so close to vacation.  How many days again will you be gone?  I sympathize with you on the gas.  Between my car and DH's we put $100 every check into them and I don't think DH even completely fills his tank.  I have a 2001 Kia Sephia and DH as an older (91) Pontiac Grand Am.  They both have about 13 gallon tanks.  He fills mine up completely as I will use 1/2 the first day to do grocery shopping and we always go out to dinner on payday and take my car as it is more reliable.

Sherry, what time's dinner?  My DD would love (as would I) what you are fixing.  She requests it every time I ask for menu ideas.  Could she go swimming after dinner?  Her favorite HOT weather activity.

Lisa, isn't that frustrating to have something turn out NOT the way you expected?  If you have luck like mine, it is always when time is short.  Good idea to start practicing with it now.

SherryH, I had friends in Tucson that kept bees.  Boy, was that ever good honey.  They got lots of it every year and were very happy to share it with anybody who needed/wanted it.  They started getting allot of African bees and ended up giving it up as they were just too aggressive.  My DH would like me to get a job, but I pointed out that with gas being so high I would be making nothing after filling the tank and paying daycare (my two aren't old enough to be home alone yet).

Denise,  good morning!  Sounds like you have your day fairly well mapped out.  I'm just gonna wing it today.  DH will have to sleep most of it as he workd a 24 hour shift.  He gets off at 9 so I expect I'll see him at 9:15 or so.

Kathleen, why is it the kids don't mess with dad?  I am the one that issues the discipline and I am way more harsh than dad.  Yet, when he says jump they do it.  Don't get that at all.  Hope all goes well with the special ed teacher.

Becky, pizza for supper sounds good.  Hope your storm isn't too noisy for you this evening.  My parents had a mini-farm, but we did not have any problems with predators getting the chickens.  Hopefully your problem is solved.

MyPie2, hope the weather holds for the zoo trip.  I am hoping we have good weather on the 30th as that is when the 2nd graders (DS) will be going to the zoo and aquarium here.  I signed up to be a chaperone.  I'll have to see if they can use me or not.  The teacher only needs 3.

Dowie, sounds like your girls keep busy -- and keep you busy.  I would have done the same thing at the game with my vehicle.  Sitting in the rain is not my idea of a good time.  I didn't mind it when I was little and my brother was playing soccer.  Hope DD can get the job at the gymnastics place.

Belle, sounds like you had a ball at the greenhouse.  How sweet of DH to take you on a spree.  I am going to be repositioning some Iris bulbs.  I don't like where they are planted as I don't get to enjoy the blooms.  I don't know who put them there, but it is just silly.  I am going to wait for the ones with buds to pop before I move them.  Any tips for me?

Sheri, I'm sure you are a great housekeeper.  If you are like most people I know, you get overly critical when there is a special event or holiday that you are cleaning for.  I would not be able to survive a day without a toilet.  My one pill I take makes me have to go ALLOT.  Mostly in the morning.

Well that's all for now.  To anybody I missed I hope your day goes just the way you want it to.

    Kim

If the kids are still alive at the end of the day, then I've done my job.

Sherryh~ Happy Anniversary to you and your Dh -- Enjoy your special  day.

Lisa~ Gas here is $3.89 most places - But there is one station in town has gas a few pennies cheaper most of the time..Try to get my gas there most of the time. They stay busy. LOL...

Most of the morning there has been sun and clouds -- But now it looks like the clouds are breaking up and there is more sun...yay...

    Have a good day....Deb

Morning ladies!  Woke up to thunder and lightening but no rain.  Storms are coming in later tonight.  Still haven't heard about DH's job, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.  I've got awards banquet tonight at school.  I hate this.  I know it sounds horrible, but the kids here do not appreciate it, all they have done today is gripe about it and how they are just going to throw there medal away.  I could spend my time with my family instead of at school giving awards to kids who don't care.  Sorry, I just needed to vent.

No time for personal messages, but I love you all!

Hello again and a special thank you for the wonderful anniversary wishes!  Tonite I will show DH the beautiful wishes you have sent me.....

DH was able to catch the swarm this morning.  He had so much fun!  I will never understand it....LOL

I have been out volunteering this morning but would love to have the extra energy to do some housecleaning.  You ladies put me to shame with all of your cleaning.....washing the valances and blinds, etc.  Most days I feel lucky to get all the clothes done and cook the meals.

The weather here in Cherryville is so nice today....lovely and sunny with a little breeze.  I just want to enjoy it while its here because it doesn't take long to heat up and make us miserable.  My little "tommy-toe" tomatoe plants are full of blooms already and I can't wait for the results. The heat and drought of the last few summers have taken a toll on our bigger garden, so this year we are doing some simple pots of veggies.  We'll see how it goes...

Once again, thanks for all the messages.  I am going to get my notebook out and write all of your names down so I can remember you guys and address you by name!

    There's always time for gingerbread!

Happy Anniversary Sherryh and DH.   Hope you have a special day.

Well, went to see the puppy, Finn is adorable.  He was sleepy and Scott had just put him in the crate but took him out for me.  He just layed there.  Right now he is reddish brown/blonde and silkly wavy hair.  Not sure if he'll be curly like poodle or more like retreiver when older.

Ginger landed and is on her way home.

Ed came home early an dwas here when I got back.  he is putting finishing touches on house as they are pouring concrete tomorrow.  Didnt' think they would cause of rain yesterday and setting the guy doing it back but he said he is coming.  So Ed is outside busily working.

    Hi girls

Just taking a break for a minute.  The meeting at Jason's school went well.  He is doing fantastic, except that he has not been wearing his glasses the way he is supposed to - he told the teacher they were broken!  That stinker!  Ray sort of got on the teacher about it and said "one phone call to me about his glasses would have cleared this up right away"  He was peeved.  The teacher was apologetic and promised to keep us in the loop more about things like that.

After the meeting Ray and I went out for breakfast.  Afterwards he went in to work and I have been working around the house.  vacuumed, dusted some of the furniture, did  a few loads of laundry.  Oh, yea, and sat down and had a piece of cake!!

Well, I better get back to work, the dryer just beeped.

I am just popping on here for a minute, but won't be on long. I have caught some sort of GI bug, symptoms similar to flu. I was fine when I left for work and about an hour later it hit. I made it through the shift ok though. I have to do a split shift Friday so I can get in my physical for Banner. The orientation is the two weeks that I have off, but might not be all of the first week so I might get a day or two off in there somewhere.

It rained here and it snowed in Flagstaff, Its only like 75 here right now. We have been running mid to high 90's, so this is quite cool for us. Sherryh, I'll catch up with you and introduce myself when I am feeling better.

Deb, glad the pointer helped. One of my friends pointed it out to me and it does work better when I do it that way. Photobucket takes up a lot of space I guess.
