Good Morning All!!
Going to attempt a REAL post. Not too much pain this morning so I will be working in the kitchen cleaning up and making something for the kids for after school snack. Probably cookies. I want to make the PB tollhouse, but I am out of ink. If I wait until DH comes home, I can put his laptop in the kitchen and just keep it on the screen. Not the most convenient way to do it, but a doable solution. Dinner tonight will be pork cooked I don't know how, with a side dish of who knows what, and cauliflower or broccoli as the veggie. I am very indecisive this morning. I have the duct cleaners coming at 9:30 and the furnace installers at 12:30. I am required to be here, so I don't know when I will get to the pharmacy to pick up my pain meds. The pharmacy can take up to 3 hours (no joke) in wait time. They really need to open a second one up somewhere on this installation or do away with the dmv style service. We are supposed to be rainy today and clearing up tomorrow. Saturday is supposed to be near 90 and then back to cool and wet on Monday.
Margie, I'm sure you will come up with something deliciously delightful for supper tonight. You alway have the best sounding meals. Hope you dry out soon. I am planning on digging out weeds and what not this weekend. My kids have, 22 1/2 days of school left. The last day, June 19, is only a half day and they have 2 half day Weds (teacher development). They are also off May 23 and 26 for Memorial Day. Then they are off June 9 for, get this, teacher development. Can't the teachers develop over the summer?
Jill, I know you said what kind of puppy, but I am forgetting this morning. Some breeds take to crate training quicker than others. Hopefully they will have the patience for it to be successful. We had an Australian shepherd mix that took to it. Within a week she willing went into it. We gave her a rawhide whenever she had to go into it. That was the only place she was allowed to have it.
Deb, I can't get my siggies to post at all. My computer too is having issues. I know for a fact one of my RAM sticks is gone. I think that is 99% of my issues lately.
Patti, supper sounds good. Hope all your valances come out nice and your "new" doily and tablecloth as well. I love getting "old" stuff and using it. My blinds need a good cleaning. I want to get one of those Pledge dusters. My one neighbor bought one specifically for her blinds. They look brand new (well the ones the cats haven't trashed) and she has been in her house for 5 years.
Cherie, sorry you had such a rough night. How exciting to be so close to vacation. How many days again will you be gone? I sympathize with you on the gas. Between my car and DH's we put $100 every check into them and I don't think DH even completely fills his tank. I have a 2001 Kia Sephia and DH as an older (91) Pontiac Grand Am. They both have about 13 gallon tanks. He fills mine up completely as I will use 1/2 the first day to do grocery shopping and we always go out to dinner on payday and take my car as it is more reliable.
Sherry, what time's dinner? My DD would love (as would I) what you are fixing. She requests it every time I ask for menu ideas. Could she go swimming after dinner? Her favorite HOT weather activity.
Lisa, isn't that frustrating to have something turn out NOT the way you expected? If you have luck like mine, it is always when time is short. Good idea to start practicing with it now.
SherryH, I had friends in Tucson that kept bees. Boy, was that ever good honey. They got lots of it every year and were very happy to share it with anybody who needed/wanted it. They started getting allot of African bees and ended up giving it up as they were just too aggressive. My DH would like me to get a job, but I pointed out that with gas being so high I would be making nothing after filling the tank and paying daycare (my two aren't old enough to be home alone yet).
Denise, good morning! Sounds like you have your day fairly well mapped out. I'm just gonna wing it today. DH will have to sleep most of it as he workd a 24 hour shift. He gets off at 9 so I expect I'll see him at 9:15 or so.
Kathleen, why is it the kids don't mess with dad? I am the one that issues the discipline and I am way more harsh than dad. Yet, when he says jump they do it. Don't get that at all. Hope all goes well with the special ed teacher.
Becky, pizza for supper sounds good. Hope your storm isn't too noisy for you this evening. My parents had a mini-farm, but we did not have any problems with predators getting the chickens. Hopefully your problem is solved.
MyPie2, hope the weather holds for the zoo trip. I am hoping we have good weather on the 30th as that is when the 2nd graders (DS) will be going to the zoo and aquarium here. I signed up to be a chaperone. I'll have to see if they can use me or not. The teacher only needs 3.
Dowie, sounds like your girls keep busy -- and keep you busy. I would have done the same thing at the game with my vehicle. Sitting in the rain is not my idea of a good time. I didn't mind it when I was little and my brother was playing soccer. Hope DD can get the job at the gymnastics place.
Belle, sounds like you had a ball at the greenhouse. How sweet of DH to take you on a spree. I am going to be repositioning some Iris bulbs. I don't like where they are planted as I don't get to enjoy the blooms. I don't know who put them there, but it is just silly. I am going to wait for the ones with buds to pop before I move them. Any tips for me?
Sheri, I'm sure you are a great housekeeper. If you are like most people I know, you get overly critical when there is a special event or holiday that you are cleaning for. I would not be able to survive a day without a toilet. My one pill I take makes me have to go ALLOT. Mostly in the morning.
Well that's all for now. To anybody I missed I hope your day goes just the way you want it to.
Kim
If the kids are still alive at the end of the day, then I've done my job.
