Re: June Cleaver Club Thursday 5/15/08

Good morning ladies, I laid in bed and just relaxed with my furbabies this morning, it is a beautiful sunny day here in Maine. Shower tonight, but we need the rain. Today I have planned to finish planting 2 more rose bushes, and clean out the back of my pines, as I am extending my Hosta garden in back of them, where it is nice and shady. Ought to be able to get at least 20 new Hosta plants in there, they should be very pretty.  I brought a new Hosta this year, which is called Little Mouse Ears, it has smaller leaves and is just a tiny blue Hosta. Then I have to trim the hedges out front, which DH is helping me with, and then all I have to do is put some nice brown mulch out front in my flower garden, and then it is time to weed a little bit in my back garden. That ought to take me the rest of the summer, gardening is never done, that is why it is so much fun.

Hope all the Junes are happy and safe, my DS from California sent me 10 different colored Orchid flowers, in a bunch by Fed-Ex yesterday, they are yellow, tangerine, red and pink, they are so beautiful. He also gave me a GC on Amazon for 100 dollars to buy what I want on it. Haven't decided what I want to buy as yet, but something will come to mind.

Have to go finish my chores, then some gardening, Tilapia for supper tonight, so that will be easy. Margie, looking forward to the Letter F recipes, hope you are in your swing alot. Had both my furbabies in my swing yesterday, and they were liking it. So be good girls, waving to everyone, sorry I can't address you all at this time, but I got up late, and the morning is just flying by. Will try to chat later.

Well, it is almost 80 and cloudy now.  But still nice.  Worked until 1ish then off to Lowes and Wal Mart, now home and avoiding any real work.  LOL  Got a rotissorie (sp) chicken for dinner.   Will have veggie and rice with it.  I think.  Use leftovers for chicken salad and other things.

Patti, did you get to play in the dirt today?   What plants did you get?

Lisa, hope you get to enjoy opening day with no rain, is it expected?  Do they sell bbq chicken etc meals?  They use to at all our opening days as ways to earn money for the league.

Margie, hope you enjoy Sam's.   I get differnt things there.   Their dried fruit is great and nuts.   Also often get plums and apricots there.  Their milk is cheaper than most places here too.

Sherry, did you have to work registry?  How are you feeling as the day goes on?  Hope all works out well for your physical tomorrow.

Laura, wow, you are going camping already?  What are the temps there?  Won't it be rather chilly?   How's the asthma been behaving?

Shirley, sorry it's been so hard going thru all the stuff.  It's hard to get rid of things, I know.   In our early years we moved so often I was terrible, it would go just so we didn't have to move it but since we've been here so long things have started to pile up again.  Sorry the b-day girl wasn't thankful at all.  Sad how some people are just like that.  YOur cakes sound wonderful

Sherryh, yes I'm a nurse, so is Sherry S.  Did you get to have lunch out with DH?

Becky, love love love asparagus.  Could eat them every day and have so many recipes to us them with lately.  As kids got older they started liking them too and now they all like them.  Guess as my youngest would have said, their taste buds changed.  Guess mine did too because as a kid I didn't like them.

Kathleen, wow, that's alot of sprinkles, icing etc.  How did it go?

Belle, your garden must be beautful.  You have so many different things

Shelia, glad the zoo went well, tho sorry about the break down.  We may be in our house a yr from Sept/Oct but who knows.  It's one step at a time.  :)

Well, guess i should try to be somewhat productive.  Jill

Good Afternoon Ladies. I had another busy but productive day today. I'm so glad i did the cleaning in the front entry, looks and smells so nice now!  Only one worker showed up today and thats to break up the driveway. What a lot of noise and what a mess he is making!! It will all be worth it though when the project is completed. Other than that having a quiet afternoon. I did talk to my sister on the phone earlier, and this afternoon I enjoyed my soaps. The weather didn't turn out too bad afterall. It was cloudy in the morning, but the sun was out later on. Right now, it's teasing us once in a while, but at least we're not getting rain. With the talk on the board today about wholesale shopping, we have BJ's, Sam's and Costco all here in CT. I've never been to Sam's, but we were members of Costco until a BJ's opened up in the next town from us. I think we've been members there about four years now. It's so much closer and much more convenient for us,. so thats the only club we're members of. I love their meats, and the prices on milk, juice, and eggs are pretty good too.

    Bye for now,

    Denise

I'm really not too sorry I didn't have to work registry, especially since I already worked Sunday.

I am goofing around. I figured out how to take names off siggies and add mine to them.

    Here is a sample (LOL)

Re: June Cleaver Club Thursday 5/15/08

I have been doing it from Photo Impressions.

You click on Get Photo, then you click on From Folder, then select the picture you want, and double click on it. It should come up in the black box. Then you click on Edit and if you need to take any text out, click on the Retouch and click on the eraser and erase whatever you need to. In some of them you lose part of the picture. If you don't need to remove any text, you can just click on Text. I then pick a font (I like Bookman old style), a type (I like Italic bold), and a size (I like 24) and then you choose a color, type whatever you want into the text box and hit enter. Then the text will be in the middle of the box. You have to drag it down to where you want it and then hit enter once you get it where you want it. Then click on save and there will be two liitle boxes that open up. Click on Save As and then title it what you want, but use the jpg extension. There will be a box that tell you you will lose the layering and do you want to continue. Click on yes, then click on what you want to save it was. Then you should be done.

I'll try to make you one and post it here.

Is photo impressions a separate program from photo bucket or within it?

This originally said "Have a Nice Day", then I changed it to Sherry, then I changed it to Jill (of course I kept a copy of the Sherry one LOL). Here I am out in my pool, which I am going to do in a second :-)

Jill, it isn't part of photobucket, that i know of, I get to it from one of my windows. Not sure if it was something that was preloaded into my computer or not. I'm really not the greatest on which programs are which.
