    Good Morning Neighbors!

Cool and cloudy here this morning ... barely hitting low 60's with showers off and on all day. That may be a sign that things will be quiet in school this morning. Maybe lots of sleepy children and staff on this TGIF!

Lily ...  Prayers for Marv that everything will be A OK.

    Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Good morning. I think that bright light in the sky is the sun so it looks like it is going to be another pretty nice day.

Have to go in to have a cat scan done. A couple of weeks ago I saw blood in my urine so after all of the tests for infection and such they did a cat scan a couple of days ago and it showed a "mass" in one kidney. The scan today is just to check everything else and then they will schedule surgury to take the kidney. They tell me 5 days in the hospital and that should take care of everything. So, that is what we are all hoping.

So, other than all of that we are planning on finishing up some planting today. The league of women voters is having a plant sale and it's just up the street so I think we will go there. There are still a couple of bare spots in the new garden that Gary is putting in so it would be nice if we could find some less expensive plants to finish it.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hugs and prayers for all. Lily give Marv an extra hug from all of us.

Good morning Grannies!  It's to be 74* and fair here today.  We stopped and bought some plants last night before the graduation, hubby wants to put in a garden, I hope he plans to help with it.  The graduation was really nice last night.  He got his AA at a Community College, he will be 20 in September.  I am not positive (neither is he) where he will go in the fall.  I know he has applications in, so I guess we will see.  We took him out for dinner afterwards last night, he chose Outback.  I'll see if I can get picture emailed, otherwise I'll bring it to Red Wing. The guard cat is up then down on my lap.  I guess he's made I was gone last night.  Riley is stalking dust bunnies, that'll keep him busy for a while.  I better go and iron my shirt, I had to do one yesterday and I survived, so I'll do it again.  TGIF!  Have a blessed Sonny day, L

p.s.  Any Red Wing date yet??

    Good early morning Grannies.

Thanks for coffee Apple. Not making any as DH can't have any now.

Marilyn, beautiful day here, it will be coming your way soon. First Friday in five that we haven't had wet, murky weather!

Alby, prayers that all will go well with you. A big hug back to you and Gary and tell Gary to be sure to let us know how things are going.

Hi Stylist. Don't think I'd be crazy about my DGk's if they called me early in the morning. Even for going out to breakfast!  Smile

Hi Laurie. Congrats to DS! I don't know when or if we'll be meeting in Red Wing. Nothing much has been said by many. I'm a little doubtful we will make it. Sad

Good rainy morning to all!  We have almost an inch of rain already this morning.  I think they should call us off work today.  Wouldn't that be nice.

Left HugAlby, prayers and hugs for you and GaryRight Hug.  Please have Gary let us know how you are doing.

My hair is impossible this morning.  Guess it is the dampness.  I curled but it sure didn't cooperate.  Makes a person want to eat.  And with that in mind, I have to figure out what I'm having for lunch.  Oh yeah, I forgot...I had got a salad yesterday and didn't eat it because we got the free chicken sandwiches from McD's.  So a salad it will be.  For supper, well that is another story.  Have some leftovers but if DS comes will have to think of something else.  DH said we might have toasted cheese sandwiches and tomato soup so that is good too.  Maybe he will cook.  Wink

Well time to go.  All my umbrellas are in the car.  Good place for them huh.  Oh well, my hair can't get much straighter.  Heehee, and just the other day I was complaining that I wanted straight hair.  Seems I just can't be satisfied.

    See you later.

     Gooooood Morning, Grannies!!

The sun is peeking, but it is kind of an iffy day. We will have to wait and see what develops.

Grandma B, Welcome to the GN. I live in WI. Come back often.

MA, I hope the day goes well. I know the end of the year get kind of hectic.

Alby, Prayers for you that everything turns out was you hop with the cat scan.

Stylist, It sounds like the DGC are busy planning a busy day for you.

Lauriet, I hope you can post or email a picture. The RW is kind of scheduled for the june 28. Though we may not be able to make that. It depends on when or even if DD gets a flight, cheap.

Apple, I like your idea of a man with a remote. Smile  Thanks to Little Apple and you for breakfast. Glad the kitty is getting friendly.

Ruth, Prayers for Marv this morning. I hope everything is okay. A meeting without you isn't a good idea. Maybe we will have to do some replanning.

Justme, run fast so you don't get wet. I'd lend you my umbrella, but it is in the car too.Smile

Grammy, Your quilt is lovely, I hope I can get to mine soon.

Debbie, I used to shop like you. Now they no longer have double coupons here. They don't have very good sales either.

Jane, I hope your sore throat is better. NOw is not a good time for you to get sick.

We will be heading to town this morning.  It is our turn to put something on ILs grave. I guess Memorial day is coming faster than I thought. DH needs something from Fleet. Not that that is strange.

The garage roof is one, not sure if they will work on the house or not today with the iffy weather. BBL

Good morning to all.  ALBY, prayers and hugs to you--I admire your attitude, and will be thinking about you.  LILY & MARV, my thoughts and prayers are with you, too.  What special friends all the GN has become to me.  I'll try to get back later after I do a little work (only seems fair) and try to read last night's posts.

By the way, it is cool, but we have sunshine today!

    Re: Grannie Neighborhood 5-16

Good morning Grannies, this has to be a quick one. Am running behind and have to be at the beauty shop in about 15 min.

It is SUNNY here today. Nice after two days of rain and dreary. It is 49* going to 68*. That sounds nice to me.

Apple---Love the poem at the bottom about the dandelions. Several yards around here are abloom with them.

    Ma---Showery Fridays are no fun.

Alby---You are in my prayers. Will be waiting to hear!

Stylist--Can't say no to the DGC can we?

Lauriet---Here's hoping DH keeps up the garden.

Lily--We might be interested in going to Red Wing. Need to know the time though. Praying Marv has good results from his tests.

    Justme2---Careful, duck those drops.

Gram2---My doesn't the garage look nice!  Now to move on to the house.

    Got to run.  BBLAutomobile

OH darn Ijust lost another one and have no idea how it happened that time! I can't even make it happen now when I do the same thing!! APPLE you started something with the monkey bread! I kept thinking about it and finally made some. It was sooo good for breakfast this morning. Yuuummm:( Alby so sorry that you have another hospital trip ahead of you. I pray that everything goes as well as you expect it to. LILY prayers that there is no prob found when dh has his test today. STYLIST love to see of hear from those dgc anytime :( MA hope you get your wish today and all the kids are well behaved! Thanks for all the nice comments about the quilt. I'm waiting to see more of them finished :) GRAM we have 3 out of the five groceries that double cupons to 50 cents. With the 5 stores being so close there's competition! I just found out that WM and Kroger pharmacies started doing 90 day generic prescriptions for $10 and both mine are on the list! That's cheaper than my copay for the mail in insurance plan! I'll be going there after my next dr visit! DEBBIE you mean they expect you to do some work if you want to be paid!!! More fun to be in the GN :) Time to get ready to go to the mission. BB when I'm back home
