I just saw this myself and thought it was pretty cool too!!

I love the logos they come up with for different holidays and milestones.

How did people properly tease their cats before lasers were invented?

Not counting the ones built into electronic equipment, I think we currently have five.  Two red laser pointers, two green laser pointers, and another red one built into a unit which projects it in squiggles on the ceiling.

Oh I've seen Dis's cat scaling half way up a 10 foot wall chasing after a laser beam. 

Funny it doesn't have hardly any affect on Maddie...dogs are just too smart (or not smart enough) for that stuff I guess!

When I was in 3rd or 4th grade, we were loaded on a bus and taken to the near-by university, where we saw *gasp* a laser (looked like a long machine gun) and *gasp* a gigantic IBM computer that read punch cards.  It was cutting-edge technology & we were supposed to be highly impressed by this glimpse of the future! 

They turned the laser on & showed us the pretty red light.  I don't remember them telling us about any practical application for this light, though.  I'm not sure they had any back then.  They were just a university with a laser, which was Big Stuff & a reason to bus the kiddies over to see it.  

My favorite part of the trip was being allowed to take home a punch card to show to my parents.  Woohoo.

 HeeHee!  I just saw this vid on MySpace...it shows how much fun 2 kittens can have with just a jar.  We spend so much on toys for our 2 cats, but they're happiest just playing HIDING FROM YOU in a blanket.  

I quit buying toys for my cats.  They bat whatever it is once with a paw and then look at me - if they could talk, they'd say "There - are you happy now?"  Then they walk away!  The kitten is happiest chasing the fly in the window - I think because it causes such havoc on the windowseat.

My Patchi cat loves catnip toys.  She'll gather them all into a pile and lie on them.  The Chika monster has one toy--a fishing pole with suede strips on the end of the line.  She demands it, every day, as soon as I get home.  Really demands, vocally, poking me, standing on her hind legs and yowling in my face if necessary.

But Buddy loves the green laser.  He loves any excuse to run at a full gallop and since he's faster than I, the laser is perfect.  Buddy is a hard-bodied dog of a straw-colored cat.  (See avatar on left)
