I've come up with some other swaps to moderate, but wanted to let all moderators know, so that we don't try and do the same thing, lol. I had thought about doing that Regifting Swap, but changed my mind. Good thing I did! Here's my list of future "me as moderator" swaps. Oh, and some of the swappers for the Alphabet Swap came up with these, but didn't want to moderate them:
1. Rainbow Swap (pick one color per month, etc.) Example: red- apples, strawberry, flag, hot things
2. Around the World: I would choose various countries and swappers would choose things they think would represent that country
3. Something Old/New: go through your house. Find something old that you don't use anymore. For new, find something that goes along with it at the store. Example: I have lots of old computer games I don't play. Would send those, and then buy something computer-related at the store.
4. Rags to Riches: For the rags, we'd buy dishtowels and rags. For the riches, we'd buy one thing that costs a set amount of money.
5. Name: Take your partner's first name and buy things that start with each letter. R (rattle) A (apple) C (cat) ...you get the idea.
6. Desktop: fun things for the computer desk
7. Mi Casa Es Su Casa: things we love in our home that we think others should have in theirs
8. Rhythm n Rhyme: things that start with the same letter and must include 2 things that rhyme (Rocks, socks)
9. Stationary Stationery: Paper to write on of all kinds (recipe cards, grocery lists, sticky notes, etc.)
10. Countdown: 10 of 1 item, 9 of another, all the way down to 1 item
11. Tabletop: things that go on tables in each room
12. Collectors: help add to the collection of someone's favorite thing (like my scrapbook fetish)
13. Home n Hearth: all things home-related
14. Masquerade: Swappers must guess who their partner is by a certain deadline. Anything can be swapped here. Guess correctly, win a prize.
15. Scavenger Hunt: 10 items will be listed. Find anything related to that listed item.
16. Sock It To Me: Obviously, socks have to be in the box
17. Movie-themed/Book-themed/Song-themed: 3 separate swaps. Pick your favorite movie/book/song and include items AND a recipe to represent that movie/book/song
That ought to keep me busy for a while!
