How can they slip this hot weather in on us so quickly

In the Northwest we haven't had any ease into hot wather.  I'm not sure I'm ready for this heat wave.  I'm in my office and it's already hot at 9:30 or so.  Thank goodness if it gets too hot, I can turn the air on.  Now that I am spoiled, I could never be without it.

I hear you!  We had a fire in the woodstove on Tuesday, and now we're supposed to hit 100 today!  WOW!!  Love the AC!

I am not looking forward to this afternoon.  I've turned the air to 70 here in the office, but it won't be that cool at home.  Ugh.

I always hope for a nice, leisure spring time, but we always seem to go directly from the 70's to 100+--and I don't like it one bit!!

I am so conditioned too...from the A/C'd house, to the A/C'd car to the A/C's work or grocery store. I'd have to move if we didn't have them!

    lol

It's still on the cool side here, which I don't mind as long as the daffodils are blooming - the heat just kills them.  But they're all gone now so it can warm up any time!

It is supposed to be in the 90's today, and I have sweaters in the wash.  My poor dh is out in the hot sun putting a deck up.  I hope he comes in and cools down when it gets really hot in a couple of hours....

you being in the north, i'm sure your version of hot and mine are different!LOL AND maybe a different kind of hot. it's 67 here now and a little cool. got to go walk and will start out being cool but i'll warm up. last night around 6pm i put on my summer sleeveless dress to go tanning and stepped outside and almore came back inside. it was in the 50's. i hadn't been outside and didn't know it was supposed to get chilly! i knew when i came out from tanning i'd be hot so i went on.

it's supposed to get into the mid 80's next week and i dread it. i hope it's not too hot for me to walk outside. i've lost all my "insulation" so maybe it won't be so bad. we'll see.

sandee in west TN where it will be close to the 100's or better before all is said and don't this summer!
