OT: Question About A Bridge In A Stove

I went shopping (looking) today for a new range. I really liked the bridge that connects two burners. Does anyone have that feature and do you use it a lot??

I have a glass-top stove with a bridge burner but I have never used it.  It is for a grill and I don't have one.  I have an electric grill so have no need for one to use on the stove.  But I'm sure it would be very good if you want to use a grill.

JoRose, what brand is your stove and do you like it's other features?

I bought a smooth top right before they came out with the bridge burner. There have been a few times I wish I had it and if I needed to buy a new range I would include it, but you can still use two burners at once on a large roaster pan to make turkey gravy, for instance, after the turkey roaster comes out of the oven.

I'm not sure what you mean that it's meant for a grill?

Susie, I mean you can use a grill or gridle on it and it will heat evenly instead of just on each end.
