I have a question about a cooking stove

I asked this on recipes also. I went shopping for a new range today. I really liked the one that had a bridge that connected two burners. Does anyone have this and if so, do you use it a lot?

I think I know what you are speaking about....large grates that cover both burners, or two regular sized grates with that extra between them......no gaps between them is what I mean.....my last stove had these and I must say I like them...you can easily slide a pot or skillet to the back burner if need be.....I had the large grates....no bridge....

I'm not sure what you're talking about - I've seen the stoves that have a center grate...so you can slide a pot completely across, side to side..that feature is very nice.

Yes, this was two regular sized burners with what they call a bridge between them that heats. I thought it would work great for a grill or griddle.

PS: The bridge connects a front and back burner.

my cooktop is like that...I get it now....lol...

I haven't use it as I have no griddle.....but if I did it would be a great thing to use....

I have another burner that can be large or small....depending on the twist of a small knob..no simmer burner however...and I sure miss that.....

That would be an awesome thing to use!  I use a two burner griddle on mine, but the center gets cooler then the ends.

I don't think they make a stove with all the features I want.

i found one that i want but haven't quite convinced dh yet. it's gas and has 5 burners. if they made electric with 5, it'd be nice but they only have 5 burners but one is a warming center. i want the actual 5 burners.
