RELAY for LIFE ... THIS WEEKEND

My daughter & I will be doing this VERY SPECIAL WALK this weekend - Saturday and we ask that you please keep us in prayer. This RELAY for LIFE means a lot to us as we have had some close friends and a few family members loose their lives to CANCER & we want to do this for them ... it's a special walk this weekend for me because my little sister back home in NH is fighting BREAST CANCER and I want her to know that I am there for her & praying that she can beat this disease that takes so many lives.  So, please keep us in prayer and also pray that the weather holds out !!  I will come back and share sometime next week of how things went over !!

**Karen**  I do hope the weather holds up for the walk!  It's great that you and your daughter are able to do this together, representing the many women and men that have and continue to battle this terrible disease.  It can happen to any of us.  nancy

lives have been lost to this but a lot of us have made it. we just all need to keep praying a cure can be found to stop this.

We had a good walk today & the weather was GREAT & so it was a bit on the windy side but for the most part it went well. 

After we walked we went to pizza hut for dinner and had a good dinner and we did really well ... we ordered a CHICKEN VEGGIE PIZZA & so we had been sitting there waiting for about 15 minutes then the manger came out and told us they had forgotten to place the CHICKEN on the PIZZA so they made us up a new one so we got a FREE SALAD for each of us.  Then, my daughter wanted 1/2 order of the dessert breadsticks & we got it to go and took it out to the car and checked to be sure it was right and we got A FULL ORDER instead of 1/2 so we did really good !!

Then, we went to get GAS in the CAR and I put the WRONG GAS in and so thank goodness hubby was not to mad so ... I am HOME & all is well with the world and I am going to get a bit of work done then climb into bed and watch a MOVIE with my daughter called " AWAKE " so let's hope I can stay AWAKE this time to watch all of it for her !!

We had our Relay this weekend too.  We walk from 6 PM Friday to 6 AM Saturday.  I'm glad you had a good time.  It means a lot to a lot of people.  I do the luminaries and the people love seeing their luminaries on the track.  On the bleaches on the other side of the track, we put HOPE and CURE and it lit up beautifully during the Luminary Service.
