The Rose Room ***May 17, 2008***

Good Morning all. Nothing much to report here. Rained a little last night. Yesterday I got a bit more unpacked.

My cousin gets married today. I won't make it to the wedding but am suppose to go to the reception at 5:30pm. I'd rather stay home and snooze but I promised a while ago I'd be there. Sigh....

Well, that's about it - pretty sad isn't it??? LOL I guess it's better than being ill or something.

Good morning IM, and all the rosies to follow... quietly peeking in from Fluffyville, Michigan.

Not much spring weather here to speak of - we actually had nicer weather than this back in March - ah, but oh-so-typical for Michigan. Living here my whole life, you'd think I'd be used to it and not expect anything more (from either Mother Nature's Great Lakes Outpost, or from Life In General), but hope and stupidity spring eternal for this ignorant woman.

I've been up since 5am with too much pain. Like the weather, some things just never change.

Wishing a lovely day to all - fluffy hugs all around, to go with IM's fuzzies. Dog

I haven't failed; I've just found 10,000 ways that dont work.

Good morning IM and Fluffy. I'm real busy so I'll just copy what I wrote in the other room.

I came home with a carload of plants yesterday. I bought Bill some fresh local asparagus to make him happy, it is supposed to be the very best, I wouldn't know I don't like asparagus.
I planted the impatiens under my apple tree and then it started raining; so I was finished planting for the day.
My last 3 daylilies came in the afternoon and they are sitting on the patio with all the other plants.
I'll get a little done but this being Saturday I want to do a few tag sales, then go to the store and get something for lunch for the girls. I see this week they have fresh corn on the cob and that's Kate's favorite so that's a must to get.
I know I'm not going to get too much serious planting done........there's always another day!

Hi all.  I am working this morning because I missed so muh work this week.  Yesterday I completely lost my voice, not even a whisper!  It's much better today, though.  I am so tired that I feel like I could sleep for 27 hrs a day and still not have enough rest.

    Tango- Way cool!

    I can't believe Jordyn is 1!

The birthday cook out was fun last nght.  Kids crack me up, especially ornery little boys. We all decided to go to the dirt track races next sunday since most of us have Monday off.  (not me- I have to come in and work for a little while wah!)

Got to get busy.  Hope everyone is having a fun weekend.  Hugs!

Good Morning  - Just trying to lay low and shake this, or at least not get any worse.  I will try for a quite weekend.  I did go out for supper with a former neighbor last night, but we came right home afterwards and didn't stop for another drink.  Her DH is the accountant, and he's off to Canda fishing for a week, last week was camping with the guys - So we usually get together and go out in May.

Maizey, I so wish I could see your yard when everything is going - It must be a show place, with all of the effort you put into it.

Pip, how you feeling today? Glad the voice is better.

Happy Birthday, Jordon - - How did that happen?  It seems like yesterday..

Fluffy good to see you stop by.

Lynn, I'm sure you will have a good time when you start scrapping! Enjoy the company.

IM - sounds like things are fitting together in the new house.  How exciting.

Roma, safe travels and keep cool  - - - can't believe it's that warm there. 'm sure the girls will keep you on your toes this week end.

Mary Ann, glad the new job is working out. Sounds like you are busy at home.

Laura, hugs for you and your family - Little Hayden will be fine after this.

    Gotta keep moving. Later.

    Well, gotta go -

Good morning Rosies! I sure miss the old days when I was here all the time. I'm afraid to turn my back for a second. Emily can be very mischeivous at times! Sometimes if I'm in the bathroom and things are too quiet, I'll ask, "What are you doing?" and in her most sing song innocent voice she'll reply, "Come here and you will see." and that's when I know that I'm in big trouble!!!!!!

Tango: Congrats on the win!!! I got the newsletter but didn't read it yet.

Happy Birthday Jordyn!! I agree, how did this happen??? It feels like yesterday she was born. Before you know it, we'll be celebrating Hayden's first birthday too!!

Maizey: All of that fresh produce and beautiful flowers you describe sound wonderful! I wish I lived closer so I could see your garden in all of its glory.

Imspecl: Have fun at the wedding!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

I have a lot of errands today - bank, cleaners, drug store, grocery store so I'd better get a move on.

    Hi Rosies!

    Happy birthday to Jordyn!

Today is my DH's birthday.  I'm just about to head out and pick up all the stuff needed for the party.  We're going to surprise him.  Meeting at a nearby fitness center.  DS#1 reserved the bowling alley.  There will be pizza, pop, and a yummy cake with fresh strawberry and Bavarian cream filling.

We babysat last night until late.  But luckily, the baby was very good and slept most of the time.

Hugs to all.  Have a great Saturday!~~~Laura

    Just say NO to B.O.
