Hello readers,
In the past several days I have finished DEATH OF A SNOB, AGATHA RAISIN AND THE MURDEROUS MARRIAGE, DEATH OF A MACHO MAN, AGATHA RAISIN AND THE TERRIBLE TOURIST--M. C.Beaton plus COUNTRY PASSIONS --Rebecca Shaw. I enjoyed each of them.
Today I am reading GIRLFRIENDS CLUB--Judith Henry Wall. I am enjoying it also.
On the eve of Mary Sue Prescott's forty-fifth birthday and scheduled mastectomy, she and her three closest friends gather at a lakeside cabin that has been their refuge for years. Then Mary Sue's boyfriend joins the bittersweet celebration, and her three friends are forced to make a decision that results in a haunting and terrifying secret. How each of the women deals with this awful secret is a reflection of how she has coped with traumas and stress in the past. Their struggles, and the trials and tribulations of growing older in a culture of youth and beauty, are at the heart of this moving, honest, and ultimately triumphant story.
This has been a don't want to put down story.
Hope everyone has a good week with lots of good reading.
We had a beautiful day, although they had forecasted rain. Tomorrow is supposed to be rain free, going to try to get some weeding done. Then rain again tomorrow night and Tuesday. Betty
