Marcia,  I don't think it's just you - it took forever this morning to get on - had to quit trying and go to church.

Hi Sisters! I've been lurking for the past couple weeks - just staying way too busy to spend much time on the computer.  It's cold, windy and overcast - feels like a fall day.  I'm going to throw a ham in the oven and warm us up!  Some day, I'll get to plant some flowers....

Good afternoon ladies.  It is another hot one today.  I am headed to the laundramat and then to the contemporary church service.   Then I start a new week tomorrow at the new job.  Hope everyone is doing great.  Hugs to all.  Once I get my first check, I need to get a small barbeque grill, charcoal, and fluid.  Also need to get another fan.  If it is going to be this hot, I need to keep cool.  My boss has air conditioning.

 Good Grief! Marcia, I wasn't just you! I was on a roll last night over on recipes and then all heck broke lose and I was about tearing my hair out. I deleted cookies, tried everything I could think of and finally decided it WAS the board and not ME!! lol Anyway, I'm glad it seems to be working again! Of course, now I need to rush off and get dinner started!! :o) So I will try popping in again later!

Hi girls!  As usual I wrote on last week's thread this morning.  Sheesh! 

 I got some plants transplanted into different containers this morning, laundry done, clothes out for tomorrow, coffeemaker set, and paper read.  Doesn't sound like it but I did alot of laying around today too.  What a great day! 

  Hi, everyone!  Boy, has it ben a busy week around here!  I've been trying to keep up with reading the posts, but have not had time to post myself.

 Last Thursday I went on field trip with Amber's preschool class. It was fun, but we did a lot of walking. Afterwards, we went to Hobby Lobby and did more walking!  But...I did find a LOT of bargains!

  Friday I had an 8:30am appointment at the cardiologist's. Everything was fine, he did change the dosage on some of my meds though. He and I argued because he wants to double my dose of coumadin. I don't want to because I get nose bleeds. Anyone else have this problem with this med?  The rest of the day went down hill after that.  Hurried home for a gas delivery,wound up waiting for 2 hours! Then I rushed to post office, paid water bill and then picked up Amber.  I should have picked her up later. We went grocery shopping, with gramma buying a lot of extras since Amber was staying all weekend.

 Saturday morning we were going to sleep in, but......Jen (DD) called and said there was a subdivision garage sale going on. Welllllll, we got dressed and headed out.  More walking!  Came home and collapsed for awhile then got up and made spaghetti and meatballs for supper, at Amber's request.

    This morning Jen and Cody (DGS) came over to do the yard work. We have almost 3 acres and it's getting to be too much for me and DH to take care of, so the kids help us out.  I stayed inside so I could breathe and to cook up a huge pot of chicken and dumplings.  Haven't had any in a while and boy were they good.  They've headed home and I'm trying to catch up on postings before DH gets in from work. He'll be home for the next 2days, so it's now or never.

   I hope everyone had a nice and not so hectic weekend. Our weather is finally beautiful, upper 70"s.  Perfect for me.  Everyone stay safe and remember:  Keep Smiling, it makes people wonder what you've been up to.

I had trouble getting on this morning too, wanted to get here and bump up the Summer swap sign up reminder and couldn't  ...... frustraiting.

slow day here, kids are driving me crazy. I'm bored, they are bored, havn't done anything it is 94 right now. They asked if they could go outside, I put a movie......... I knew they would be in before the titile rolled. (they were).

I NEED SHOPPING THERAPY..................

What a weekend.  I think I am ready to go back to work, it'll be more relaxing.  LOL  Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone.  And **Micki*  I only have 14 more school days!     nancy

Hi Everybody!

Sorry that I'm mainly MIA these days - someday it WILL get better!  Been trying to get outside long enough to enjoy the weather whenever I can even if it IS only for a few minutes at a time.

Good Morning, Sisters!

I thought yesterday I could get in a lot of post reading and recipes, but the board wouldn't cooperate! I know it wasn't just me, and I know they will be working on it for awhile to make it better for everyone

Redawna, you are really shaping up your garden! I am sure you are looking forward to the final move of the gravel~that is a lot of work, isn't it!

The wind was brutal here yesterday-Couldn't do anything outside and there is much to be done. My little flowers are going to do all their blooming before they are even planted

I had a little money saved back for the new bathtub~lol~I guess it isn't in the stars that I will get one again this year. We took the grandkids to see the new Narnia movie. They really liked it, but it sure wasn't like the other one, IMO. I can be a real movie critic! lol  The guy playing Prince Caspian was a cutie tho~

The ol hippie has been harping at me to get the yard work done and of course the fight was on. Since I can't control wind and all the rain we had, I told him it would be easier to plant things if I had an end definition to the garden with the arbor I want~there went the rest of my bathtub money! lol  He said get in the truck and off we went...now to my surprise, those simple structures aren't called arbors anymore, they are called pergolas...Call it what you want but it is a large arbor to me because it isn't going to be fancy at all-just an end definition to the garden...Between us, I think he just doesn't want to put in a new bathtub!

PatE, I started to watch that show too because I do want to see the new Indiana Jones skull movie, but I didn't keep my eyes open! lol I had never even heard about it being a real issue! But I did nod off in the chair~again! Hopefully it will be on again...We have Direct TV and they sure rerun the shows to death that I don't want to see all the time  and will put one I would like to see in the middle of the night or not at all! I do know one thing, I am waiting until it comes out on DVD and no more movie theaters for me!  I may be looking in the past, but I think it costs way too much money to go to the movies~and I even asked for the senior discount which I never do! lol  But with the price of the popcorn and drinks, etc is just over the top!

I seriously have to start looking for affordable health insurance(there goes the new bathtub forever!). Anyone have to pay for their own and any suggestions? I dropped paying for me through Cobra about 6 months ago and Cobra will run out for the ol hippie in a few months. He needs insurance that will cover his previous health conditions...Any suggestions at all?

Gracie is standing here~she obviously chewed up another toy and came to show me a scrap of it. She will take care of a toy and protect it for months and then lay down and destroy it. Gosh, she even had her toast WITH BUTTER this morning!
