Good morning all. Denise, how is the brick laying going?

    Deb, hi, what's new today?

Laura, how was the camping trip?

Belle, how does your garden grow?  Any good books lately?

Jan, glad you had a good time at the beach.

morning everybody. Supposed to be another scorcher today (110 predicted). It went from 90's for several weeks straight to 110 almost, but supposed to cool back down a bit, like to 88 Thursday. This is like June weather. Thank goodness for the pool. Too early to start the A/C, so will try to get by with the evap cooler until July. I could use a swim right now (LOL), but no time for that, so will just have to deal with it.

Patti, hope you are able to take it easy some. Glad you are off the crutches. Hope the follow up goes well.

Kathleen, sorry about teacher DD. That is so sad.

My brain has not kicked in yet. Sorry. Need to get my coffee. Ended up getting chinese food last night so didn't have to cook. Tonight may do sandwich or salad or something. Too hot to cook. I guess I will make the Ham and Pasta casserole on Thursday if I don't need to work registry. As long as we keep getting all this overtime at post office I am perfectly happy not working registry. Next week have dentist appointment, so may not sign up for registry next week at all.

Shirley, it was good to see you post yesterday. I know there is something I was going to say and I don't remember what.

Lisa, I bet Shelly is exceited.

Hi to everybody I am missing. I will try to post a siggie later. I'm more interested in a cup of coffee at the minute.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL MY JUNE FRIENDS!Smile

I am up a bit earlier than usual today..l.but not quite awake yet! LOL  Yesterday evening we had a cookout and the food was wonderul....steaks, baked potatoes, steamed veggie packets, salad, rolls...very good and we laughed and talked as our daughters showed us their new yearbooks from high school.  Of course dh had to drag out one of his old yearbooks that the girls and their boyfriends had never seen and they couldn't believe their dad once had shoulder length hair!  Naturally, they forget we were ever young...LOL

Usual chores for this morning...I would love to get in some reading time.  Doctor visit for the afternoon.  Glad to see everyone doing well and enjoying life one day at a time!  Sending hugs to you all, SherryH

    Happy Tuesday!

    Good Morning Junies!

Harumph.. board was a little slow again just now for me, it was fine earlier when I checked around 4.

Things are going fine.  I did away with the crutches yesterday.  Walking on it doesn't really bother it. I do take it slow and baby it too.  It's the bending that bothers it a bit.  Feels good to take the brace off at night.

Not sure what I'll do today,  I was going to try and plant a couple of my planters as I can do that standing up at the table in garage.  But now it is supposed to rain and be a little chilly again, so I'll just find something in the house to do.

I have 3 over-ripe nanners on the counter, think I'll make a choc. banana bread.

I'll be back later ... time to get the boys off to school.

Chilly 45º & cloudy here, supposed to stay mostly cloudy & get near 60 later. I know it could be worse, but I really wish it would warm up here....Sad

Enjoyed the awards program last night; Shelly received a Certificate of Merit, the Anatomy Award (she was surprised about this) and they announced the scholarships she has received from UT and our county's chapter of the NWTF. I was amazed that in total, the students in our little school received over $500,000 in scholarships!
Don said that Danielle & her team played a really good game, though they did not win; she even got to pitch a couple innings - figures, no one there to take pics, LOL!!

Today I have more laundry & will try to finish painting; I think Don finally has all the places patched, so I can do those too. I need to sit here and pay a couple bills, and have a couple little odd jobs. Also need to figure out supper; Shane was here yesterday and grilled some yummy burgers he had seasoned & served with a red pepper relish he made up!! One of his buddies is apparently a great cook and has finally gotten him interested in cooking, LOL!!

Margie, hope it's a nice day so you can get outside - can't wait for it to be 80º here!!! Love your siggie!! I would love it if you could be here for Shell's party, but only to enjoy it, I wouldn't let you work, LOL!!

Deb, we had some rain overnight too, but it seems to have moved off. Hope you get to take your nap, sneak a few winks for me too!!

Jill, glad your appts. went well & you got your crown fixed. Will keep ((Holly)) in prayer. Grad is Sunday and party is the 31st!!

Sherry, I would GLADLY take some of your heat!! Sure glad you have the pool to help cool you off! Good you caught the mix-up with your bp meds.

Sherryh, your cookout sounded like great fun!! My kids love going thru yearbooks, especially my DH's senior one (all my yearbooks disappeared during/after my divorce...Sad ). Hope your dr. appt. goes well.

(((Patti))) glad your knee is feeling better gf, please keep taking it easy though. Chocolate banana bread sounds delish!!

Kathleen, how very sad about the teacher's DD; will keep her family & all of you in my prayers.

Belle, would sure love to visit your garden, it sounds so beautiful - enjoy your day today!!

((Sheila)), best of luck to you with the house gf!! Are we chatting tonight??

    Shirley, glad to hear the one-acts went so well; sounds like Kassie was very deserving of her lovely gifts!! Awww, a BF; makes her seem very grown-up, doesn't it? Glad the carpet is all done; sending you love & hugs as you enter this final stretch before graduation! {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Jan, so good to hear from you! Glad you enjoyed the weekend so much, and happy to hear John is doing so well!

Sheri, glad to hear graduation & the party went so well!! Now you can take some well deserved "me" time!! Big congrats to your DS!!!

Kim, you have been very busy!! Hope you can get some time in the pool, and hope your dr. appt. goes well tomorrow!

Grrrrrr, BB has been a pain for me this AM, has taken an hour for this to post (I hope) and everything else is working fine.......sorry to anyone I missed! Hope everyone has a great day!! hugs,

    Good Morning June friends!

We had a very nice weekend of camping. It was a little windy, and rainy a few times, but mostly sunny. We went for bike rides, sat around the fire, played games, read, cooked on the fire, grilled.... it was very relaxing, just what I needed!! But always nice to come home again.

DDs have 4 weeks of school left and after that is exam week, they both won't have many exams. Good, because exams always make me stressed!! So much studying, and the mark counts for 1/5 of the over all mark. No one wants to study at this time of year anymore.

I need to do a lot of laundry today and go to the trailer to return some things, etc... Hopefully I can do some planting. Also need to make a dentist appointment, a tooth started bothering me this weekend. I am terrified of dentists and don't go as often as I should! Tonight oldest DD works, youngest one has 2 soccer games. Hope it's a nice evening to sit outside!

{{{Patti}}} Hope you're doing better. Take care of yourself, okay?!!

    Have a nice Tuesday everyone.

Re: June Cleaver Club Tuesday 5/20/08

Good morning to my June friends, it is a cloudy and sometime sunny day today here in Maine, it is only suppose to get to 60 degrees and it is quite windy also. I got a lot done yesterday inside the house, as it was a little cool and windy outside. I did some laundry, watered my plants, baked some WW Chocolate Pumpkin Muffins, my favorite, and a nice Banana Bread. Now we have plenty of breakfast things, to eat in the morning.

Took a little nap before DH got home, then made supper, and then I even had time to go out and trim the shrubs out front, and trimmed the Honeysuckle bushes also. Today I am going to plant my Hollyhock seeds, and just push them into the soil, as they germinate by light. That ought to be pretty next to the fence, all in bloom with many colors, this summer. Still have to plant seeds in raised beds, after I pull the strawberries out of one box for DD. Then next week I can plant my seedlings on Memorial Day weekend, as they have been hardened off really good. Then when I have time I have to weed a little of my flower garden out back, maybe mulch that also, and then when I am done with that, I can play around with my Hosta garden, and plant some more Hostas, this summer. I guess that will keep me busy this summer.

Today all I have to do is a load of laundry, then out to garden a bit, with my fleece jacket on. We are just going to have hotdogs and Cole Slaw for supper, so that will give me plenty of time to garden. Jill-I am reading books by Lee Child right now, I have read all of his books, and I am just finishing his last book, The Persuader. Now he has a new book out June 3rd, Nothing to Lose, I want that book also, I am going to get that book on Amazon, from my GC that my DS got me for my birthday. I just love his books and the main character is Jack Reacher, and the books are always thrilling. I recommed him highly.

Margie-Hope you are swinging in that swing, GF, I am in mine at the end of the day, just enjoying the peace and quiet, and looking over my hard work, that I have done in my garden. Don't work too hard, as summer is right around the corner, and you should be out enjoying the sun. Waving to everyone, Patti glad to hear you are getting better, don't put too much weight on it at first, take it easy for awhile. Have to go make the bed and a few chores, before I start my gardening, hope everyone has a wonderful day, waving to the new members also, do a little gardening today, and remember to plant some flowers.

    Belle

Good Morning Ladies. Hope everyone is doing well this Tuesday morning. I wish I could say I'm having a good day. I had a bad night last night, another one of those "female days". No excercising for me today, and that doesn't happen very often!! I went back to bed to lay down after dh went to work. I do feel better than i did earlier, and I'm not going to do anything today except rest. I'm hoping to feel better later so dh and I could go grocery shopping. if not we'll go tomorrow night. DH is so sweet. he was worried about me feeling weak, and suggested I take my shower before he left for work. I'm glad I did because it was comforting to know he was only a "yell away" if I needed him.

Thats all for now. Maybe I'll check back later. Have a great day!

Hi all,   I tried to get on earlier but the darn BB was so slow...Margie you make me tired, washing the walls and the knick knacks, I have to do that with my lighthouses and the wroght iron stands they sit on...Yuck.  I was going to try to weed out my collection but just can't bring myself to do that...cookbooks are a differant story...not as much sentiment in those.  sure keep telling yourself that Shirl....

Jill graduation is June 1 st  Baccalaureate is May 25th.  her graduation Party Is June 28th, this will give Don and Kelly and Scott and others a chance to fix up the yard and put up the deck.  Last night we had the choir awards and the teacher ad a guest singer who gave the seniors a message about life after high school.   I thought it was the grad speaker....very long but he did sing several songs..he has appeared on Broadway and is now in the Cleveland area appearing in shows and summer stock...His name is Conner O'Brien and Kassie told me it was Conan O'Brien.  I was excited, wrong.....

Lisa,  how nice for Shelly to get those awards,  is she going into the medical profession in some form.   Kassie is still leaning that way but Kelly asked me if she had talked to me about teaching K- 5.   after her experience with the middle school age I can see where she would prefer the younger age students.   I think she is really undecided and that is ok too.

Sherryh   I enjoyed  your church website, it sounds like a lovely place to worship...Well work calls me   take care   Shirley

Hi, got this note from Wendy today in response to my is bb slow email.

" haven't been on in forever. Say hi to everyone for me if you get on. Last week I slipped on my steps and fractured a bone in my foot. I may be off crutches for the wedding. "  She said the wedding is the 31st.

Rained all am, is cloudy but not raining now but see some dark clouds in a distance.  So. . .  guess we'll see.   i'm off soon to doctor.   Had to go in to work for 2 hrs, supervisor was really hurting with weather and getting around really slowly so came in until she could get in.   So met Ed for lunch at chic-fil-a   They have a new roasted chicken and fruit salad.  It's a lettuce salad with carrots, red cabbage, cheese and fresh fruit.   Very good.
