Boy, did I make a mistake when buying apples

Braeburn were $1.00 a pound.  They looked like it, so I put 10 in a bag.  This morning I discovered they were not infact Braeburn, but Jazz apples at $2.49 a pound.  Paid $13.30. for those 10 apples.  Have you had this sort of thing happen?  I will have to remember to pay attention.  They sure are good and crisp.

Yes I have goofed up too, but not with apples!  When we were in Florida last winter I bought three  gorgeous little yellow summer squash.  DH was going over the receipt when we returned home and realized that what I had selected were organic and they cost about $7.50!  He just teased and teased me...so now every time we grocery shop together I make a smart remark about being hungry for organic squash! LOL  I hope that you enjoy your apples half as much as I enjoyed my squash!

    Yes...I have done it,

I was at a local store and needed a lot of apples for catering.  They had them for .69 cents...which seemed pretty good, till I was at the checkout.  They were .69 each, not .69 per pound!
