    Memorial Day

I've been invited to a Memorial Day party and need to really impress the hostess.  She is probably the most seasoned cook I have ever met and has asked me to bring the dessert.

I would greatly appreciate only your recipes that  you get asked the recipe for over and over again.

Thanks so much for your help.  I know I can count on you.

If fresh strawberries are in season, I am expected to bring this trifle. http://community.tasteofhome.com/forums/p/343983/345334.aspx#345334 It's good with blueberries or peaches too, and strawberries and blueberries together make a very patriotic looking dessert. I usually make one layer of blueberries and then the filling, then a layer of strawberries, then more filling. Very pretty.

Carol,  thank you so much for that recipe!  It looks fabulous.  There will only be probably 5 people there that will eat the dessert.  Guess that means more for me!

I've gotten rave reviews on this....even made it as a groom's cake.  They liked it so well, they asked me to make it for their baby shower three years later!
