     Good Morning...

I was so wiped out from yesterday, that not even MJ's rattling pots & pans could wake me up...LOL

It was a very long day and I get to do it all over again today.  2 picnics today, then go blow up more balloons for tonight and get everything ready and then back tonight for the afternoon 4 yr class graduation.  Everything went well last night.

I didn't even make it to the end of DWTS....but I figured it would be Kristi.

Thank you all, for the anniversary wishes.  I saw DH for about 15-30 minutes yesterday.  He brought me roses and we will go out for a real nice dinner this weekend.

    Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning Ladies  -  I couldn't get here yesterday morning either, and then my day got busy, so it was late brfore I got back again.

After work, I had a Dr. appointment for the annual works, so now I can go back in the morning, and have some blood work done, and a colonosipy (sp) for after the wedding sometime, and I should be good to go.  Had the squeezing done in Nov. so that's out of the way too!  I'd probably put the whole thing off, if I didn't have to go to get my perscription renewed again.

Sunshine today - - - I sure can't believe it's Memorial Day weekend already.   I haven't even taken anything to the cemetary yet, but will do that this weekend.  It's been so cold, I just can't think spring yet.

Thanks Fran for the update on Bonnie, and VIcky, good to hear you're feeling better.  I was sorry to hear about the play ground accident for Bradley, and hope that kid received some type of punishment.

Debbie, I read the kitchen story on line, but was nice to get the magazine about it too.  I'm sure you enjoy it very much.

Well, gotta keep moving. Have a good day.

    Another one off into cyper-space.............

The cat is grey with a white spot under his chin.  No name; maybe just "GREY"   He's a "street smart" cat; when Zues goes out the back door, I rattle the doorknob so he knows "DOG IS COMING"  He does'nt run now just hids down in the high grass on the hill.   Zues charges right out ready to chase..............

Cooking a turkey; need the freezer space..............BBL

Good morning, another cool one but the sun should come up later.  I'm heading to Toledo to meet with my cousin for shopping and lunch.  She lives in Cleveland.

DWTS was no surprise and I think the best one won.

MJ  Do you have food in those pots and pans?  I'm hungry.  LOL

APPLE  Congratulations on the new cat!  I think Grey is a good name. Or maybe Greyson.  Tell Zues to "be nice" to his new friend. LOL

CJ  Roses are so special on a special day.  And you have a nice weekend to look forward to.  By the end of today, you'll surely be ready.

GREENBACK  It's always good to have those tests done and behind us.  Have a great day.

Time to get a few things done. BBL

Good Morning Grannies - couldn't get on the last 2 mornings then things just got really busy at work and home - Monday was "Susie homemaker" day - laundry, bathrooms, beds, etc.

Thanks for the update on Bonnie, glad it wasn't too serious.

Trash is out and I have bacon,  banana nut muffins and fresh fruit to add to the breakfast buffet.

Off to get ready for work.  TTYL

Goodness gracious whoever is making such a racket?  Oh I see, it is MJ!  Girl tiptoe, you'll wake the dead.   I'm up, I'm up!

Apple--Oops, I had better get DH up so he can take the trash to the curb. Nice that you got your outdoor duties taken care of.

CJ---I imagine you will better enjoy the weekend date with DH. Try to rest this weekend. Oh, I remember you mentioning something about planting in the yard. Sounds like a nice weekend though.

Greenback---I couldn't believe it is already Memorial Weekend either. Doesn't seem possible. Big Race in Indy this weekend. No plans though.

Stylist---Bet you will have fun with your cousin. Hope you find some bargains.

I don't have any real plans for today. Thought I would see about going to the nursery nearby. Big sale and they have the roses and wave petunias I am wanting. Have to see if DH will agree. If not, guess it will be chasing dust bunnies in the livingroom. The ceiling fan looks like it has a "beard".  he he  BBL

     Gooooood Morning, Grannies!!

I see the bird got to drink out of the bath this morning, though I'm sure it was very cold. But the sun is out this morning.

MJ, You are up early. Do you have big plans for today?

Apple, Does just the one kittie come or do both of them come to eat?

Cjayh, Roses!! What a thoughtful guy. I hope when you have time to sit down you can enjoy your dinner out.

Jane, It is always nice to have the annual over with. I would skip it if it wasn't that I need my BP script renewed.

DH needs help sawing logs this morning and we will have quilting this afternoon. Then I am hoping we will change it to every other week.

Stylist, Enjoy your trip and visiting.

Mimib, Thanks for the good breakfast. As you can tell by my Avatar, I hate housework.

Suzi, It sounds like a fun day even if you don't have anything planned. Visiting the nursery is always nice. Congrats on the incoming DGS.

Prayers for Vicky, Ginny, Bonnie, Lakemom's DF and Liny's DH. Also continued healing for all those that have had surgery.

Good morning to all!  I'm going to sit down and enjoy a good cup of coffee with you.  It's a lovely day here, and the sun is shining like crazy.  Maybe when it warms up, I'll sit on the patio and read for a bit.  Thanks for all of your good wishes and prayers for my recovery.  I'm feeling great.  I want to add my prayers for those who are undergoing tests and procedures or recovering from illness.

CJ- Enjoy your date with your DH this weekend.  I bet the roses are lovely!

I'm not a crafty person, but I've been hit by the stamping bug and like to make greeting cards.  I worked yesterday and finished a big pile so I'll have a selection when needed.  I envy those of you with lots of crafting skills!!

    Enjoy the day/

Yes Apple Iam the noise maker if I am up everyone needs to be up LOL. Besides morning is the best time of day lol.

Cjayh we always celebrated our anniversary on a week end also and generally a couple of months after as Jan 10th is not a good time to be on the road in Michigan LOL. This is the last hurrah for these little guys then you can have the summer off to enjoy.

Good Morning Jane I think most of us have had problems getting on here the last couple of days. It is good you have most of the Dr stuff done now you don't have to worry about it for awhile just a little to do after the wedding. Ihave not been tothe cemeterys yet either far to cold here yet.

Apple that is one smart cat. I have a ham I should cook to get it out of my way also but what would I do with all of it . Maybe cut it up into smaller serveings.

Elaine what kind of food would you like we can whip it right up. Not much cooking here today dinner will be at the bowling alley. My team is not cooking we are doing the ice cream bar. I do have to get my coolers out and ready though. I will probably need to buy some ice even though I have made some ahead I don't think it will be enough. Frankly I would rather cook I think it would be a lot less costly  and I like to cook. Have a good lunch withyour cousin and Ihope you find lots of bargains. Have you been to the Rock and Roll hall of fame in Cleveland? Sorry but that was one of the scariest towns we have ever stayed in. It turned out our hotel was in a bad area and then there was a fire in it during the night. It was an adventure lol .

Mimib you are going to meet yourself coming and going .

Well not into Indy racing Iwill be watching the nascar race. my DD#2 and Mr FW are going to the race it has been a couple of years since we went to one so she is really excited. Wish I was going also. Get those cob webs can't have beards on the ceiling fansLOL. No ceiling fans here thank goodness.

Fran I put my birdbath out yesterday. I don't think the birds like this one as well as they liked my old one. I never see many birds using it. I bet they would get their toes cold in it today. Big plans not really just the regular old work. I am going to make fresh hummer food today so I can put out my new feeder. I will just go where the day takes me. I do have one load of laundry washed and in the drier now that is a start.

Ok more have probably come in but I think I will post now and then check furthur.

    Re: Grannie Neighborhood 5/21/08

Good morning everyone!  Bright sunshine here today, but chilly!  Just a routine day here, except I have to go to Columbia, MO, to get my blood checked--feeling good but still trying to get my blood thinner regulated so have to have it checked and medicine adjusted once a week.

MJ, I needed the rattling of pots and pans because I sure didn't want to get up this morning!

Cjay--roses sound wonderful, but even better is a night out this weekend!  My DH and I will be married 30 years in January--so we might have to trade stories sometime.

Grenback--I know you'll be glad to get those annual tests out of the way--I have the "squeezing" coming up soon.  I can't believe it's Memorial Day weekend either.

Apple--cooking a turkey sounds really appealing on this cool morning.  I like the leftovers as much as the first meal from it.

Stylist, a day with your cousin including lunch and shopping sounds like my kind of day!

Mimi--your breakfast sounds wonderful, thanks for sharing!

Suzi, those dust bunnies keep multiplying at my house.  Plant shopping sounds like a lot more fun.  Congratulations on the new grandson on the way--I'm like MJ, I raised two girls and don't know a lot about boys, but I'm sure willing to let little Eli teach me what I need to know!

Fran, sawing logs and quilting, what a contrast in activities--you are definitely the "do it all" woman!

Have a good day everyone.  My prayers to those in need.

Hi Connie let me join you with my coffee cup also. Iam on my second cup. Ijust keepn drinking until th epot is empty. then i slosh LOL. I am not crafty at all it is not my thing. Ido knit but ido not consider that crafty. To me a craft is making something nice and pretty with no specific use but to be pretty. Some people tell me knitting is a craft but i don't think so. yup Ican be opinionated lol . Now making cards they have a purpose and I bet it saves you money to.

    Re: Grannie Neighborhood 5/21/08

Hi everyone. I woke up at 5:15 when the sky was so red. It was really pretty. DH wanted to get up early, so I laid there, just dozing on and off, until 6, when I woke him up. I heard him get up, but then I went back to sleep and just woke up about 15 minutes ago. Stuck my nose out and it feels nice, but says only 48*. If it were warm in the morning - LIKE IT SHOULD BE! - I would get up and go outside and sit. I'm so sick, sick, sick of it being cold and chilly!

MJ, the pans weren't loud enough. Didn't keep me awake!

Apple, been meaning to say you make me laugh when  you say you lived in the BIG house. I always think of a prison! I hope you didn't mean that!!!Big Smile

CJ, you will be able to relax this weekend at a quiet romantic restaurant with your DH. Isn't your son coming back tomorrow? Now don't forget the pictures!

Jane, I can't believe it is Memorial Day weekend yet. I'm still so "old fashioned", it should be next weekend by the date! Some changes sure mess me up. I hope it is warm enough for folks. I remember, back in MI, my GF and I went out and bought new matching  swimsuits and the four of us went to the lake. We put the suits on, got down by the lake, froze to death, back to the car, and we went back to our house and had our picnic at the kitchen table. Smile

    Stylist, enjoy lunch in Toledo.

    Hi Mimib.

Suzi, I'm not rushing to buy more flowers yet. Just too cold to think of them.

Fran, another busy day for you.

Connie, sounds like you are doing so well after your surgery. Still being waited on hand and foot?

Guess I'd better get dressed before DH comes home. Maybe I can get my tomatoes and peppers in today, if nothing else.
