I'm going to speak honestly here...about past posts, etc

In a thread someone said the c*nt word has been used here other than the one used to me in a PM by MBR.  I'm guessing here, that this is in reference to a four letter word that was said once as a shortened version for conservatives...conts.  I'm guessing don't crucify me.

It's been awhile now.  I'll admit I was upset with something a conservative said, probably defending that monster Bush and I went along with the term, laughed and repeated it, that's no excuse.

So I got a private email from a very nice young lady here, expressing her dismay with me.  Something along the lines of, I expected more from you and why in the world would you repeat such a derogatory term as that??? And ya know what she was right.  I apologized to her and told her I was wrong and wouldn't repeat it. And I have not, nor will I.

What do we have going on here now?? Is it possible we have a poster here that can say evil things and some will actually defend her, why cuz she makes cakes???

It really is amusing that you have X number of people who used to all talk among each other & then so & so decided she didn't like this one & decided to not talk to her again.  Let's be honest a lot of them used to be in The Ilk and as I stand before you all I can say---there is one person who said...TTFN while I was there & she's the only one I can say why it happened. But the other dozen or so...I don 't have a clue, and I do not know their reasons.  I was just not in the loop but this is where the chasm started & it's still here.

That of course, again, in my very own opinion.

Souchef...as I said last week.  You haven't replied to a single one of my threads in the past several...I mean mucho several months, but when I posted the horrid PM from MBR the first words from you were how "tacky" it was that I'd post the PM.  Do you think for one single second I took your words as anything more than a way to lash out at me??  Of course I knew. It has to do with the people I agree or 'chat' with here, those that you don't...it's not the comment or the standard of what was said, it's only who said what. I knew that, it was very obvious to me.

There are other ex-Ilkers who I can chat or joke with (Tree & BFC among them). I might respond to a thread they post or I might not. They may respond to me or they might not.  We may not always agree but hey, ain't that life?

Time to put the major BS behind us...or at least I think so!

It's like a nasty family feud but it was people here at KC.  Can we let that go and not just jump on someone cuz they used to agree with someone else?  Can we not see what MBR said here was unacceptable?

I say DNR to MBR, I can't think of the last time I've read such hatred aimed at any group of people. 

And one last note, I've never regretted posting that PM here, I'd do it all over again. Those were her words & yes indeed, she does own them.

It is good to put evil out in the sun where it will shrivel and die.

I may be wrong Renee, but I think (and keep in mind that I haven't read the post you're referring to) that they were speaking of me.  I called obb that after the post she made making a snide comment about your family recently.  I make no apologies for what I called her.  I still believe her to be one, and that's not a word that I take lightly at all...I can't stand that word in fact....so for me to actually use it and to say it for a person, I was MAD AS HEL.  It's not that she was making fun of you in particular that made me so mad, but that she was also making a backhanded comment about one of Dis's kids.     

I caught her comment about Disney's kid too. If you hadnt called her what you called her,Pags,I would have.

And I hate that word. But,in that case,it fit.

I have been more than a little surprised at the sheer nastiness that sometimes goes on here.  It's very easy to sit at one's computer - where one has reasonable expectations of anonymity - and write whatever.  I am sure that many "post before thinking."  Then again, some use this forum as an outlet for their own poison.

I stayed off the board for a little over a week because all the fussin' and fuedin' wore me out!  When I came back the first thing I read was Renee's post of MBR's lovely PM.  ICK.  Wonder if MBR would have said that to Renee's face - of course Renee might have cleaned her clock for it, too!

You don't have to agree with everyone.  Some posters write thoughtful stuff, some are just plain funny, almost all are caring.  Some are totally clueless and some seem to live to stir up trouble.  And all are entitled to their own opinion no matter how wrong or ignorant YOU may think they are.  You can cure ignorance with information but stupid is forever and when a discussion deteriorates to name calling it crosses the line into stupid.  Or really stupid, which in my dictionary is spelled STOOPID!   

So enough bashing, please.  Put the club up.  Stop bashing Republicans, Democrats, Liberals, Conservatives, Christians, non-Christians, gays, all of it.  Discuss, yes.  Offer opinions, facts, items from the news, of course.  But be tolerant.  Please.

Yep.  I remember that.  Made steam come out my ears!   The so called  mother and grandmother taking a swipe at a child made my blood boil and I was proud, mighty proud of you Pags!  I still am!  I'm sorry, but fighting fire with fire is sometimes the only way to put a stop to something burning out of control.

Pags I am not sure what is going on but after reading your post I think it was darn nice of you to stick up especially for Dis kids. No one should ever go after a chile. You are good people and like reading your posts when I fly through. I agree.  I missed that particular statement, but not surprised that it came from OBB.  I know her obnoxiousness has irritated me enough to say things here in the past that I wouldn't normally utter out loud in my real world (thankfully I seldom have to deal with people like that).

Of course I recall the below the belt hit from OBB.  I expect little less from her, so what she said to me about my grandchild (coming from a  'supposed' grandmother no less) is ironic at least. OBB is nothing to me and I guess she knows I feel that way toward her, so if she has no effect on my, why not lash out at my GD.

It used to be that children were out of bounds, I'm guessing that only applies to 'them'.

And when I made my comment about MBR's  PM to Renee and said: some people here should grow up, I was also angry at MBR and in the heat of the moment made my post too short.

THose I wanted to grow up are those who should realize that all people are different, in color, gender, sexual preferrences, opinions and more. The sooner those people realize these  facts the sooner they  start growing up.

To tell the truth about those cakes: I would not eat all that artificially colored  sugar and fat stuff.

MBR and I had a little run-in when she first appeared on the scene  but  the PM to Renee did  surprise me.  How would she now about fishy smell unless hers smells that way or does she go around sniffing other women's  *****?
