    Let the Good Times Roll

When was the last time you had a lot of fun? What did you do? Where did you go? What made it special?

Last time for us was when we were in Fort Lauderdale/Miami area recently. Went to the Hard Rock for a couple of days. We have been there often, but stayed for 2 nights the last time we were there. I loved going to the pool area. Even though we have our own pool here at home I still enjoy these fancy pool areas a lot when we go somewhere.

And tomorrow I am going to visit my sisters in Illinois, will be gone for 5 weeks. More fun times, girl stuff, giggles galore! See you when I get back. (((Hugs!)))

What was your last fun experience? :-)

2 weeks ago, we went back east to spend the weekend with my best friend and his partner.  It was just one of those hang out weekends were other friends and family came over.  Saturday was a cook out and we just sat outside from noonish to about 2am visiting and having fun.  I laughed so hard that day that my tummy and cheeks actually ached by the time I rolled into bed.  GREAT weekend!

I forgot to answer your fun question!  I loved Florida this year.  I was so relaxed and happy and slept good and felt good.  I too loved the pool.  It seemed less complicated there, and the best was no projects waiting to be tackled  This old house can really be a money pit and a downer trying to keep up with everything inside and out!

    mollyg,

Yes, I have your number. It is in my purse. Maybe I can phone you sometime. I have my phone card, too.  My sister has taken a lot of days off while I am there this year, more than ever, (her boss prob doesn't like it when I come! LOL!) and I am spending a week with my other sister this year while her hubby goes on a fishing trip. I know they will keep me busy, and we have planned the trip to the quad city area again for a long weekend.

(((Hugs!))) You know me, I am so bad about meeting people, but I might phone you. Okay? :-)

I would say the last time I had a lot of fun was May 2nd and 3rd when my sister and I went to the cooking show in Atlanta for her birthday.  We ate at the Cheesecake factory and took as LONG as we wanted and slept late the next morning since the show didn't start til 10:00.  The cooking show was really great and we met Paula Deen's sons!  A few days after we got back I got a card from her in the mail saying how lucky she was to have me as a sister and thanking me for the weekend.  That was really special to me.

I love reading about everyone's fun times. I can almost see all of you in each of these situations. Smiling, laughing, relaxing, enjoying family, friends, life. I wish these fun times lasted longer, don't you? LOL!

A couple of weeks ago we had a girls sleepover at a friend's house in Malibu with a gorgeous view.  We had a great dinner and busted guts laughing so hard.  It was just silly nonsense fun!

Hope you have a wonderful time on your trip.

You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometime, you might find, you get what you need.

Spring break! I was living in FL and my sister and her family came down for the week. We went to the beach everyday and I had a terrific time with them.  Now back in Ohio for the summer, after 3 1/2 weeks I'm wondering when, Oh when, is it ever going to warm up here! It's still in the 50's-60's. Well at least it stopped raining.

I took my two grand daughters (8&9) to the zoo on one of those days made of diamonds.  They are cousins and always have the best time together. They don't live in the same town so they only get to see each other about every three months so their time together is always filled with their arms wrapped around each other with lots of laughing and tittering.  It just doesn't get any better than that!  And of course grandma is kind of a softy so a good time was had by all with lots of ice cream and cotton candy.

DH and I went over to the coast(Lincoln city, Or)in January for my birthday-did the antique shop thing and I added to my vaseline collection and dH started a new hobby-collecting blue glass-he got several beautiful pieces of what is calle 'Louie Blue'. We had such a goo time and a lovely hotel suite. For Mothers Day, my girls sent me gift certificates for the same place and I am so looking forward to it. Depends on when they set me a surgery date.

Just a fond observation....anyone else notice how everyone has focused on the people in their lives when discussing most recent good times?

Good for us all to remember!  Sometimes I get so caught up in work and projects that really don't matter that much in the whole scheme of things. Smile

2 days ago my sister Shelley and I went out for some girl-time before we start "Camp Grandma" this summer with our grands.  We just laughed at everything!  That was a good time.  We get together with our other sister and we have a great time.  Shelley keeps a CD The Monkees in her car and we sing along (...here we come...walking down the street, get the funniest looks from...everyone we meet...)and just have a good sister time!  Also, I had the most wonderful trip to the Carolina Coast this month with my husband...it was just the best.  You're right, good times involve the people we enjoy!  Good post!!!

Probably our trip to Lake Havasu last year.  We got to catch up with old friends, enjoyed the weather and the activities.  And I built my very first shell and it even exploded when it was supposed to!
